21/06/2026: Lovely hotel and restaurant in a charming setting. Very friendly welcome.

17/06/2026: For a stopover on a cycling trip, it's simple but adequate. The room in the annex is clean, but a bit worn. A fresh coat of paint would make all the difference. The food is well-prepared with tasty simplicity. Breakfast is minimal. Overall, it's what you'd expect from a small village inn.

30/05/2026: Warm welcome and pleasant service, excellent value for money for the set lunch menu (starter/main/dessert). The air-conditioned dining room was a real plus.

29/05/2026: A great place for lunch in an air-conditioned room after visiting the castle. Efficient service. The cucumber gazpacho starter was truly excellent!

20/08/2026: Professional staff!! And super friendly! The taco: shredded duck: excellent with fries. The dessert: Breton far (a type of flan). Homemade food!!! I highly recommend it 😋😀

06/09/2026: Travelled to France and stayed overnight at this lovely hotel. Room was wonderful, very clean, good size. Little touches like Le' Occitaine toiletries, pet bowls, toy for my Siamese cat. Equally, although did not use the mini bar, it was there and stocked with " goodies". Also full sink, hob ,electric kettle, crockery and utensils if you wished to take food and cook. We ate in the garden area, beautiful evening not far from the wonderful pond. Food was good, but the service from the young waiter was excellent .He was very attentive and a credit to the hotel. We will be staying there again on our return journey. Also got to say the reception staff all so lovely and helpful. Parking an absolute bonus. Love this place. Well done to all at this hotel.

11/06/2026: We loved our stay at Chateau Belmont. Staff is wonderful and accommodating. Property is very beautiful and rooms are well equipped. My only regret is looking at reviews and opting not to eat the Chateau's restaurant. Please do yourself a favor and book a table for dinner at the restaurant. The food is amazing. We could only do dessert there and it was absolutely wonderful!!

17/08/2026: A Disappointment After Several Years Hello, We dined at the Auberge de Montpoupon a few days ago. We used to come about once a year, as we always really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. So this was our first visit since the change of ownership, and unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. From the moment the menu was presented, we were surprised: only one set menu, presented in a plastic sleeve with rather poor printing quality, whereas previously several options were available. We completely understand that a new team might make its own choices, but we felt that the value for money was no longer what it should have been. The dishes were cooked properly, but the presentation really lacked flair and refinement. The candied melon, in particular, seemed to lack freshness and lightness. This is all the more regrettable because the place has a real asset: the terrace offers a magnificent view of the Château de Montpoupon. The view is exceptional, but in our opinion, the terrace deserves more upkeep and care to truly showcase its potential. The atmosphere also felt a bit too contrived, lacking the charm and bistro spirit we had previously enjoyed. The tables and their tablecloths didn't particularly appeal to us, and certain details, like the peeling pieces of faux leather, unfortunately give an impression of neglect. We understand that a change of ownership inevitably brings changes and that a new team needs time to find its footing. However, having stayed at the inn before and returned regularly, we felt a real difference, unfortunately for the worse. We sincerely hope that these few remarks can be taken as constructive feedback, as the place has extraordinary potential and truly deserves to live up to its magnificent setting.

25/07/2026: A good little restaurant, simple and efficient. No frills, the dishes are simple and the ingredients are fresh or high-quality. (The eggs come from the chef's own henhouse 😊).

06/09/2026: Passing through Amboise, we stumbled upon this restaurant. It has a nice decor. We didn't have a reservation, but we were given a table inside. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly. For lunch, we chose the €42 set menu, which you customize by selecting from the menu. The portions were generous and well-presented. A great place to recommend; we'll definitely be back. Also worth noting is the outdoor terrace overlooking the street at the foot of the castle. Thank you to the staff and congratulations on the warm welcome.

02/09/2026: Excellent in every way - or almost: the red wine, a Bourgueil served at 17°, was odd for a red wine, so following our comment and without hesitation, it was replaced with another at room temperature. There was also a bit of a wait since everything is made on site, which is explained on the menu (so we were warned). As it was very busy, we had to be patient, but afterwards, the tasting was a delight from the starter to the dessert. Thank you for this lovely time spent at your establishment, well done!

01/09/2026: Pretty bistrot. We both had an enjoyable pea gazpacho, followed by hanger steak for my wife and tuna tataki for me, both ok, but nothing memorable. Very nice crème brûlée for dessert. Service is understaffed and extraordinarily slow. Our waiter decanted our Chinon, placed it on another table and never touched it again, leaving the serving to me.

30/08/2026: I received a very warm welcome, thank you to the staff for their attentive service and the removable access ramp for people with reduced mobility. The meal was very good, both in quality and quantity; I really enjoyed it. The decor was sumptuous.

18/06/2026: A wonderful discovery at Les Lionceaux in Tours! I loved the grilled salmon salad with bulgur wheat and Thai sauce, served with black sesame ice cream. A dish bursting with freshness, originality, and perfectly balanced flavors. A true delight from start to finish. Highly recommended!
