07/05/2026: Great atmosphere, delicious food. Really enjoyed the cave setting and the open grill cooking the meats. All the food was of high quality. Not a huge space so you'd probably need a reservation on busier days, but we just walked in on an early May Thursday. Only one or two servers so nothing moved too fast, but we weren't in a rush so everything went well
26/04/2026: We returned because of their warm welcome and impeccable cuisine. The sea bass fillet was absolutely delicious. Well done to the staff.

07/04/2026: Family meal, everything was perfect. Quick service and pleasant, attentive staff. Everything was homemade, which is important for the dessert buffet. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

The decor is really charming (old-fashioned school theme).
The service is good.
The food is excellent and lived up to my expectations.

We made our selection. When we went to order, the waitress informed us that the chef had decided to stop serving appetizers due to the time! Regional specialties, in the most touristy square in Tours, during a three-day weekend—we were shocked.
Admittedly, the andouillette was very good, but the other dishes were disappointing in terms of both quality and quantity. Dessert: tarte tatin and ice cream served in an unsuitable, small, and shallow dish. 😃
The tart was excessively sweet.
What a waste!

08/07/2025: A huge thank you to the Romains for their welcome and kindness throughout the weekend. We were celebrating our wedding in Chinon, and many of our friends were staying at the hotel. All our guests were delighted with their stay, the rooms, the terrace, and the on-site hospitality.

07/07/2025: We really liked this hotel. We only stayed one night but would very much like to visit again. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The only downside was that our room was on the top floor and there were a lot of stairs to climb!

10/05/2026: I'm sorry, but I really had a hard time. We didn't eat the beef carpaccio, the fries had the skins on, and the potatoes were reheated. In short, nothing refined for 73 euros for two people. Only the starter seemed good. The tables were close together. Improvements are needed because at the foot of the castle, it's clearly superior with cheaper set menus.

Service was very friendly, atmosphere very cool in a cave, and food was superb.
Unique mix of flavours, very fresh and excellent ingredients.
Highly recommend, best restaurant in the area. Don't forget to make a reservation!

30/04/2026: Avoid at all costs! This restaurant reopened four days ago under new ownership, and the wait to be served was incredibly long. Our aperitif cocktail was served with a rotten mint leaf. We ordered one fish and one paella, but received two cold paellas. The children's menu was also cold (the customers next to us were complaining as well). The chocolate fondant was good, but not fudgy. You should expect to wait at least two hours for a meal! Despite all this, the waitresses were fantastic. It's a shame for a restaurant that has just reopened and is already losing local customers.
23/03/2026: Lunch break 3 minutes from the highway. Set menu for €18. Buffet of starters, main course, and desserts. Excellent welcome and service. We'll be back.
