15/02/2026: Unacceptable. We came as a group of four, having booked three weeks in advance. I have a 1.5-hour round trip drive, and to my surprise, upon arrival, there was no reservation in our name. The people who greeted us offered no apology and simply told us they couldn't do anything for us and were fully booked. We left empty-handed. We will never have the opportunity to comment on the quality of the food or service because we will never return, but the welcome was truly appalling.

17/01/2026: 23 euros for a beer, a very high-quality dish (you can taste the traditional cuisine with truly delicious flavors), a homemade dessert, and a coffee. That's rare... don't change a thing.

18/02/2026: Not great. The meal arrived cold, some buffet items were swimming in who-knows-what. My sister's chicken with Maroilles cheese was bad, the sauce was watery, my brother-in-law's steak was all gristle, the pepper sauce had no flavor. My meal arrived cold, my goddaughter never got her green beans... in short, I don't recommend it.

19/12/2025: The place, the setting, the service—nothing to complain about, but… we've probably already mentioned it to you, the Welsh rarebit… oh dear! You yourself don't recommend it on your menu (sarcastically, of course!). I'm just giving my opinion, and boy, have I eaten my fair share (chains, pubs, "old-fashioned" restaurants). The cheddar was grainy and extremely salty (smoked cheddar?), and the way the ham was placed on top… (I've never seen it anywhere else!). It didn't change the taste, but I immediately knew I'd be disappointed. It was so salty that I couldn't taste the ham, the egg, the beer, or even the mustard… It completely overpowered everything! Several of us ordered this dish, without consulting each other. Three out of four had the same reaction, including one person who didn't finish their meal because of it. The rather pale fries meant for sharing didn't impress me either, especially considering the €18 price tag. I'm neither a chef nor a food critic; I'm simply sharing my honest opinion.

15/12/2025: We were seated in the Angels' Lounge and Patrice Demarcq came to greet us. We were able to choose dishes from the gastronomic menu according to our preferences and we were able to appreciate the inventive cuisine of the house: an unforgettable moment.

27/01/2026: A very pleasant place with a warm and friendly, typically Flemish atmosphere. The welcome is truly delightful; you immediately feel at ease. The food is delicious, generous, and comforting 🤤, with well-executed dishes that make you want to come back. I also absolutely loved the setting: a beautiful place with tasteful decor, authentic without being stuffy, where you enjoy lingering. An address I wholeheartedly recommend, whether for a get-together with friends or to experience the spirit of a traditional Flemish pub.

29/11/2025: Nothing special. The restaurant isn't clean. The windows were cleaned quite a while ago, I think, and they're filthy! The inside door to the women's restroom is also pretty bad. It's a shame because it's a nice, rustic place. What a pity.

28/12/2025: One of the last truly authentic and unspoiled spots in Lille. A good selection of sweet and savory crepes, simple recipes, and top-quality crepes. A sure bet!
