16/12/2025: A very pleasant surprise! The restaurant offers a set lunch menu for €16 (starter + main course) or €18 with dessert. The presentation was beautiful and the taste matched perfectly. Really excellent! 👍 Furthermore, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Perfect!

08/12/2025: Coffee break after a walk on the plateau... The welcome was with offbeat humor, which wasn't very pleasant. Very poor value for money: a cappuccino for €6.10 without even a glass of water or a small biscuit... Hazelnuts for €3... Surprisingly, the table next to us, ordering hot drinks, received a small pastry. To top it all off, the waiter (the only one in the dining room that afternoon), when it came time to pay, went to serve two drinks on the terrace and, since he didn't have a free hand, he opened the door by kicking the handle with a jolt... Unbelievable... I admit, after opening the door with my sleeve... anyway... Oh yes, something we've never seen before: €14.60 for a Café Liégeois... and the rest of the menu was the same... very disappointed compared to other places.

11/12/2025: Great restaurant find! Warm and friendly welcome. Excellent home cooking… go without hesitation, you'll leave with a smile on your face ;) I personally had a stew and snails, and for dessert, a raspberry and pastis flan… a real discovery!

14/11/2025: The service was appalling, as usual. They don't even know the words "hello" or "thank you." They're clearly only pleasant with their friends. The two people who worked that evening would have been better off managing a prison.

05/09/2024: 02.09.2024 Spent the night in this parking lot. Everything went smoothly. There was a toilet and shower at the gas station, they didn’t ask for replacement keys, the shower was open. Good luck to everyone and have a good rest.

13/12/2024: The daily menu is perfectly cooked: the dishes are tasty, notably the butternut velouté, truffled ham and chestnut slivers, the tasty tripe and the pear in wine and its very well presented and delicious ice cream.

Just a disappointment compared to the menu at €37 depending on the dishes on the menu a supplement of €7 which I find enormous and not noted on your site this makes a menu therefore expensive and more expensive than a menu in a gourmet restaurant. Please add it to your site, it would be good for customers. Sincerely

The owner's warm welcome, the excellent menu, the chef's surprises, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff all combined to ensure the members had a wonderful time in the tradition of the Armed Forces. Without flattery, we thank you for the quality of your welcome. We will be back!

03/07/2025: A vintage French restaurant where we were able to relive a meal our grandparents used to make. The lady at the bar had a smile and a great energy, and was very welcoming ☺️. A very pleasant waitress also took great care of the customers to ensure a very enjoyable meal. The price was much more than reasonable: 15 euros for a starter, main course, cheese, dessert, and wine. Thank you, ladies, for this very pleasant, warm, and friendly experience.

23/12/2025: This is my account, Sir Ludovic de Téléton, a lord neither cowardly nor benign. On my journey through the mountains and mists of Auvergne, I stopped here at the Druids' Lair, a place draped in ancient strength and strict discipline. There I was served sausages tied with esparto grass, covered in a bold and frank mustard sauce, which does not flatter the palate of the weak. Now, I am a man of great exacting standards, and I do not trust appearances: I summoned the household staff, questioned them one by one about the order of the dishes, the cleanliness of the hearths, and the uprightness of their practices. I found no fault there, only knowledge, decorum, and honor. Know that whoever reads these words knows that here the establishment is rightly guarded, and that the host, without trembling, withstands the ordeal of a lord who is not merciful. I bear witness to this, on my faith and my name.

28/12/2025: Great welcoming staff, great parking space, electric charging stations, nice rooms, didn’t use breakfast. Castle nicely, warm heated during these below zero degrees days!

26/10/2025: Really too disappointed, castle which only serves as a hotel, not open to visitors, and even if we could visit it, there is nothing that reminds us of the time before... . Everything has been redone, modernized, etc... . Just disappointing... so we preferred to go sleep in an Airbnb at 40€ a night and take advantage of the day to visit more beautiful things... . Anyway, next... !! 😓😓😓😓🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

17/11/2025: We ate as a family on November 14, 2025, for the truffade evening. The fried egg served with blue cheese sauce as a starter was fantastic! The rest was also delicious. Warm atmosphere. Excellent service, very friendly and smiling owner. We will gladly return.
