05/01/2026: My Sunday favorite ❤️ L’Auberge de Ceilloux offers a modern take on traditional Auvergne cuisine, featuring local and seasonal produce. The wine list is small but perfectly complements the dishes prepared on-site. Terrines, poultry, roasts... everything is cooked in the restored wood-fired oven, and the bread and pastries are also made and baked there. Everything is homemade, from appetizer to dessert, using fresh, local ingredients. Excellent and very generous portions. Set menu at €32, including appetizer, main course, cheese, and dessert. Vegetarians, please let us know when making your reservation; the chef will be happy to prepare alternative dishes, as the menu is set. Parking is available near the restaurant. Reservations are required due to limited seating. Highly recommended.

10/04/2026: A lovely discovery while strolling through Issoire! Drawn in by the chalkboard menu displayed in the street, we were tempted by the three dishes on offer, prepared and served by the chef right there in the dining room. :) We enjoyed an asparagus risotto with a soft-boiled egg and shiitake mushrooms (for me) and a coq au vin for my partner. Both dishes were delicious and satisfying... the chef was kind and smiling. Well done, don't change a thing! If we're ever back in Issoire, we'll definitely return.

22/02/2026: Always an excellent choice. Generous and flavorful cuisine. Fresh, high-quality ingredients, everything is homemade. The open kitchen allows you to watch the dishes being prepared. A welcoming dining room and a deli/grocery section. Good wine selection. A few tables outside.

16/04/2026: Excellent traditional cuisine! Very good and impeccable service! The lady was alone handling both the service and the kitchen, we didn't notice a thing, well done!

15/03/2026: A wonderful surprise to discover this delightful restaurant in Thiers, which offers excellent Auvergne specialties. A warm welcome, a cozy atmosphere by the fireplace, and very reasonable prices. I highly recommend Le Chaudron.

28/04/2026: Shocked by the head waiter's unprofessionalism. Being in the industry myself, I can't understand how this can be tolerated. The only smile and few words we received from him were when we paid. The young waiter, on the other hand, was very kind, smiling, and pleasant. I do not recommend this restaurant. We came twice, and both times were unpleasant experiences.

23/04/2026: My goodness, what a treat! Excellent restaurant, I got to try traditional Auvergne cuisine. The Auvergne burger was amazing. I highly recommend it.

22/09/2025: We had a great meal. The setting is very pretty. Unfortunately, disabled access is only partially accessible. There's a ramp to access the courtyard from the terrace, but no access to go inside. A small ramp to get over the step to access the interior would have been more than useful. It's a shame that disabled access is only partially accessible, so there's room for improvement. We'll be happy to return.

25/03/2026: The staff are pleasant and helpful. However, the quality and choice of dishes are declining week by week. Some dishes are tasteless, and the same daily specials are offered far too often. A shame.

24/03/2026: The grilled food is very good and of very high quality. The cashiers and cooks are smiling and very pleasant.
