01/08/2026: What a disappointment! They should change the chef or the menu. The prices are completely inappropriate given the mediocre food served. Nothing works in this so-called restaurant, which resembles a nursing home cafeteria more than a restaurant. The welcome was rushed, and the wait (an hour!) for the starter was absurd. The starter: overcooked, rubbery scallops served with truffle sauce and tagliatelle! My main course: the beef cheek stew, which arrived cold and was a complete disaster, bland and tasteless. I'm disappointed to have paid €120 for dishes I didn't finish or eat, and which weren't even worth half the price. 😡

01/07/2026: My experience at Le Cabanon was very mixed. The place is lovely, the staff friendly, but I found the bill ridiculously high for what we ate! €40 per person, even without drinking alcohol, and not having time to try all the dishes because there were so few portions, left a bad taste in my mouth... The "tapas" were really basic, nothing special. The desserts, however, were absolutely delicious. It's a shame they were all served at once and that they melted in the heat of the evening. I'll have to see if the meal is worth the trip under different circumstances.

27/06/2026: The Google rating doesn't reflect what the new owner has done. Simple concept, well-crafted and expertly prepared dishes. Reasonably priced, especially at weekday lunchtimes. Very good food and excellent service! A great atmosphere in the kitchen and a friendly team, too.

10/07/2026: Absolutely fantastic, super delicious! It's a shame the service was a bit slow, especially considering the waiter had to manage both the drinks and the table service – not easy for him. Otherwise, very good.

I'm only deducting one star because it's located near a very busy road where, despite the privacy created by the staff, traffic noise is still present. The ravioli with blackcurrant were divine. 07/07/2026: Avoid this place if you're dining with family: even if your child is very young, you'll have to order the children's menu or pay a €10 "no meal" charge. The children's menu is neither appetizing nor suitable for young children. And if you don't comply, you'll be asked to leave. Our worst family restaurant experience by far! Update following feedback from the owner: We were never offered a different table!

10/08/2026: How can I even begin to describe the wonderful time we had? The quality of the food was exceptional. The pork spider steak on the menu was delicious, as were all the other dishes we ordered: the Provençal platter, the duck leg... and the desserts were not just generous and delicious, but also substantial. Of course, I should have had Grandma's whipped cream on my profiteroles, but I'm watching my weight. Beyond the food, the excellent service, the kindness, and the humor of the waitresses made for a truly wonderful experience. A huge thank you to everyone!

24/07/2026: I was very disappointed with Chez Zete restaurant. Honestly, avoid it at all costs! I ordered grilled cuttlefish and, to my great surprise, I was served tagliatelle with frozen calamari rings. They had no taste, the calamari was rubbery… Nothing like the dish I ordered. A very bad experience. I absolutely do not recommend it.

24/07/2026: We discovered Chez Zète restaurant during our stay in Le Lavandou, and it was a very pleasant surprise. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a smile and genuine kindness. The staff is attentive and available, and the service is quick yet friendly. You can tell the team takes the time to properly care for its customers, which is very much appreciated. We chose several dishes, including a ham and mozzarella pizza, and we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions. The plates are truly very substantial, and the ingredients are high quality. The pizza was perfectly cooked, with a flavorful crust, good-quality ham, and melting mozzarella. The other dishes were also very good and prepared with care. The value for money is excellent. The prices are quite reasonable considering the portions served and the quality of the food. It's the kind of place where you leave with a full stomach without feeling like you're paying too much. Another very welcome feature: the dining room is air-conditioned. During the intense summer heat, this is a real comfort, allowing you to fully enjoy your meal in a pleasant atmosphere. What we particularly loved was the restaurant's authentic atmosphere. Unlike some very touristy establishments by the sea, here you don't feel like just another passing tourist. The welcome is genuine, the service is attentive, and you can feel a real desire to please the customers. In short, Chez Zète is an excellent restaurant in Le Lavandou that we wholeheartedly recommend. Between the quality of the dishes, the generous portions, the reasonable prices, the air-conditioned dining room, and the impeccable service, everything is in place for a wonderful experience. We will gladly return on our next trip to the region.

02/08/2026: Arriving at 2 pm, we received a very warm welcome, despite the late hour; they showed excellent customer service. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal; the portions were generous and the prices very reasonable. I highly recommend it if you're looking to eat in Salernes.
