04/01/2026: Fantastic service for our romantic dinner, nice and cozy by the fireplace 😋 The food was delicious and very generous. We thoroughly enjoyed it! We'll definitely be back.

30/11/2025: First of all, over the past few years we've dined at every restaurant in the Pays de Fayence region several times. Every single one, without exception, sometimes with friends or with our association, but we have a pretty good grasp of the local culinary scene. So much so that we could write a guidebook... We were at Carré d'Ange for the third time in three years. The first two times, we were blown away and even ranked this temple of gastronomy among the top 5 restaurants in the Pays de Fayence, including Terre Blanche. Alas, last night was a disappointment! Only two tables were occupied on a Saturday night, ours by the fireplace, which was still very pleasant. The welcome was quite decent, provided by a waitress and a young sommelier. A limited menu, which is usually a good sign. The waitress highly recommended the rabbit à la royale (in tiny print hidden on the menu: a €20 supplement on the €79 set menu, honestly!). In the end, we chose starters (quite good, let's say 18/20) and pigeon (very small), and a veal dish that was incredibly tough! You practically needed a saw to cut those pieces. Unacceptable! On the positive side: plenty of amuse-bouches, a veritable cascade of words explaining every precious detail of the dish, a truly magnificent dessert, a large cheese platter from a supplier in Châteaudouble, and a good wine list ranging from €40 to €2200. In short: the meat left a bad taste in our mouths! Unacceptable for a fine restaurant. A lot of fuss for food that was just okay, nothing more, and downright bad in the case of the veal. There's clearly an imbalance between the usual high-end service and such poor cooking!

01/01/2026: A gem! Not knowing what to do the night before New Year's Eve, we ordered some seafood. Even though our order wasn't very large, they were incredibly friendly—and this in a packed bar! The sea urchins were opened, well-cleaned, and presented on a takeaway tray. They were delicious and very reasonably priced. I'm thrilled and will be back often!

06/09/2025: Even though it's not full, nor are the tables reserved, the owner forces us to choose seats based on the customer's preferences. Fortunately, clothes don't make the man, nor does the customer's value. Too bad for your husband, who goes to such great lengths. I asked for a shady spot for my dog, and it was impossible for you to move us? When everything was still empty? And when we came back an hour and a half later, the other tables were still empty... We went to the other table, which welcomed us with a smile and a cool spot for my little dog. I should point out that my mother is 82 years old, so no respect for her either.

15/11/2025: A hidden gem in Sainte-Maxime! Namaste is the Indian culinary escape we've all been searching for: a true journey of flavors, a delight from appetizer to dessert. Perfectly balanced spices, generous portions, and a cozy atmosphere... everything is there for an exceptional experience. A big Namaste 🙏 to the whole team for this perfect experience!

19/10/2025: We, two children and two adults, enjoyed it very much, and the portions were perfectly adequate for each of us. Prices in that area are simply high, and this restaurant was actually one of the cheapest in comparison.

13/09/2025: We visited this restaurant on September 12, 2025. Unfortunately, the pizzas were of poor quality, soggy, and very greasy. The sausage on top was inedible.

What a disappointment when we learned that it was closing at the end of the month! Good luck to the chef and the waitress! A pleasure to have met you! 06/03/2026: Perfect. Friendly staff, perfect mussels marinière, and excellent fries (opinion of someone from the north). More than reasonable price.

02/03/2026: We had lunch at Palais de la Bière at the end of January, and our experience was rather mixed. The outdoor setting is fantastic, a lively square, which promised a relaxing time. Unfortunately, the service was inconsistent. We encountered several inconveniences, including repeated oversights: with each round of service, a dish was missing, forcing some of us to wait while others were already served. This somewhat disrupted the flow of the meal, especially when dining in a group. There was no heating in our assigned area. And two round tables for a group of nine is not ideal. One person in the group inadvertently had their back to part of the others. The burgers were cooked rare or medium-rare; everything was overcooked. Another disappointing point: splitting the bill was problematic and time-consuming, making the end of the meal a bit of a chore. It's a shame, because smoother service would have allowed us to finish the meal on a better note. In summary, the establishment has potential, but some improvements in organization and service would be necessary to offer a more pleasant and frustration-free experience. For a first visit, I'm disappointed 😞 after seeing the positive reviews; I was really expecting something else.

10/03/2026: From arriving at the castle with its impressive entrance, to the olive tree path, to the welcome by the hostesses, to the villa in the heart of the forest, with the sound of birds by the fireplace, to the private breakfast in the villa, it's a haven of peace.
