04/01/2026: Fantastic service for our romantic dinner, nice and cozy by the fireplace 😋 The food was delicious and very generous. We thoroughly enjoyed it! We'll definitely be back.

30/11/2025: First of all, over the past few years we've dined at every restaurant in the Pays de Fayence region several times. Every single one, without exception, sometimes with friends or with our association, but we have a pretty good grasp of the local culinary scene. So much so that we could write a guidebook... We were at Carré d'Ange for the third time in three years. The first two times, we were blown away and even ranked this temple of gastronomy among the top 5 restaurants in the Pays de Fayence, including Terre Blanche. Alas, last night was a disappointment! Only two tables were occupied on a Saturday night, ours by the fireplace, which was still very pleasant. The welcome was quite decent, provided by a waitress and a young sommelier. A limited menu, which is usually a good sign. The waitress highly recommended the rabbit à la royale (in tiny print hidden on the menu: a €20 supplement on the €79 set menu, honestly!). In the end, we chose starters (quite good, let's say 18/20) and pigeon (very small), and a veal dish that was incredibly tough! You practically needed a saw to cut those pieces. Unacceptable! On the positive side: plenty of amuse-bouches, a veritable cascade of words explaining every precious detail of the dish, a truly magnificent dessert, a large cheese platter from a supplier in Châteaudouble, and a good wine list ranging from €40 to €2200. In short: the meat left a bad taste in our mouths! Unacceptable for a fine restaurant. A lot of fuss for food that was just okay, nothing more, and downright bad in the case of the veal. There's clearly an imbalance between the usual high-end service and such poor cooking!

12/02/2026: I was very pleasantly surprised! The waitresses were gracious and efficient, and the daily special was generous and delicious at a very reasonable price! Thank you, and I'll be back often!

01/12/2025: I only frequent this restaurant, but several times a month, even in the off-season: I highly recommend it. It's well-organized, with a different daily special in addition to the regular menu. The portions are generous, delicious, very reasonably priced, and the service is friendly and impeccable. I must especially mention the chef and the waitresses: Laetitia and Eirin —and during Eirin's maternity leave, another Laetitia filled in and performed with the same level of excellence (kindness and efficiency) as her colleagues.

10/03/2026: From arriving at the castle with its impressive entrance, to the olive tree path, to the welcome by the hostesses, to the villa in the heart of the forest, with the sound of birds by the fireplace, to the private breakfast in the villa, it's a haven of peace.

25/08/2025: During our motorcycle road trip today, we stopped by chance at this little restaurant, "Le Pressoir." The welcome was warm and friendly. All eight of us enjoyed the homemade dishes and some vegetables from the garden. Congratulations to the chef 👏... We'll be back... for sure!!!! I highly recommend it!!!

28/03/2026: Passing through Bandol, we chose this restaurant by chance. What a great choice! The entire staff gave us a very warm welcome. The dishes were delicious and beautifully presented (prawns, scallops, and squid). The atmosphere was wonderfully convivial, with a live singer. I even got to sing along and do a few dance steps! We will gladly return.

10/12/2025: On Boulevard Bazeilles in Mourillon (Toulon), you absolutely mustn't miss this STOP BAR! A neighborhood vibe with old-fashioned cuisine (and I'm not talking about the staff, mind you!)... It's simply delicious! Quality products, prepared by professionals... As they say in English, it's all homemade! Even the Ricard is served the old-fashioned way... Don't hesitate!! Enjoy your meal and happy hour! 😁

10/03/2026: I feel compelled to respond once again to the inaccurate and misleading reply that has been posted. Your response is frankly surprising and disappointing, as it attempts to question facts that were very clear and directly experienced by us. My husband and I sat at the table and, after a few minutes, I stood up to choose the pistachio dessert. At that moment I clearly ordered two coffees, the pistachio dessert and one glass of still water. I did not order a bottle. Nevertheless, your waiter brought a bottle of Evian water that was already opened, which in itself is questionable since bottled water should normally be opened in front of the customer. When my husband pointed out — even in French — that I had asked for a glass of water and not a bottle, the waiter continued to pretend not to understand. Furthermore, when the bill was presented, the bottle had in fact been added to the bill. It was removed only after my husband explicitly asked for the receipt. For this reason, your attempt to portray this situation as a misunderstanding or to suggest that our account is inaccurate is inappropriate. We simply reported what actually happened. We have no interest in creating unnecessary disputes, but we will also not accept having our credibility questioned when the facts are exactly as described. Anyone reading this exchange can draw their own conclusions. A good day to you, though it seems honesty could have helped it be better.

09/03/2026: After a wonderful day spent in Cannes, my husband and I decided to stop by this bar for a quick coffee and to enjoy a few more moments on the Côte d’Azur. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be very disappointing. I was served by a waiter who was extremely unfriendly and kept pretending that he couldn’t understand either my English or my French. My order was very simple: one espresso ristretto, one espresso, and a glass of still water. Instead, he brought us one espresso, one Americano coffee, and a one-liter bottle of Evian. When I politely explained that I had not ordered a bottle but only a glass of water, he continued to act as if he didn’t understand what I was saying. Strangely enough, the moment my husband stepped in, he suddenly started understanding. It’s honestly sad to see this kind of behavior in 2026 on the French Riviera. The attitude felt very dismissive and, frankly, a bit sexist. Please, take your work seriously. To make things worse, the water I eventually received was clearly tap water—and it tasted like detergent. Overall, it felt like a classic tourist trap: the kind of place where it seems like there are two menus—one for locals and another for tourists. And the final surprise came when my husband went to pay. They tried to charge us for the one-liter bottle of water that we never ordered. As soon as my husband asked for the receipt, the price suddenly changed and the bottle of water disappeared from the bill. Very disappointing experience.

The rum baba is definitely worth the trip, as is the tiramisu. The staff were friendly and smiling. I highly recommend it and we will gladly return.
