05/07/2026: We discovered this restaurant by chance and appreciated the warm welcome despite our late arrival for lunch. The food was delicious and very generous. The dessert, French toast, was the perfect ending to the meal! Even though you might think you can't get in when you arrive at a barrier, don't worry, just ring the bell and they'll let you in. Don't hesitate! We'll definitely be back.

10/09/2026: Beautiful beach, very pleasant. Beach attendant Anthony was super friendly and discreet. Great atmosphere, lovely decor! Thank you for these relaxing moments. I'm not rating the food as I didn't try it. I just enjoyed their private beach.

04/09/2026: There were six of us, and we chose this restaurant because the menu had few dishes, which was reassuring because I thought that with so few options, we were sure to eat well. Unfortunately, it started badly. Three of us ordered the beef fillet. At €22.90, you'd expect the meat to be tender and flavorful, cooked rare. It was cheap meat, tough, very tough. One of us ordered the sea bass fillet at €28.50, and they offered him another fish at the same price; it was just as bad, not tasty. The other two had decent meals. The waiter never asked us if everything was alright. When he saw we'd finished, he asked if he could clear the table without even asking us once if we'd had enough. I asked him if he'd ever eaten beef fillet at his establishment, and he said no. I advised him against ordering it. I told him we hadn't enjoyed it at all and that the meat was tough. I don't remember ever eating so badly or having such poor service. I have doubts about the cleanliness of this restaurant. It was two hours ago, but for now, everything is fine, which is the main thing. As you can imagine, I advise against eating there.

15/09/2026: I've never eaten at La Vague d'Or. However, I used to go there often for breakfast. It was very good. I didn't consider going to the other cafes/restaurants nearby. Since it reopened, it's different. I find the price difference with the other restaurants is no longer justified by the quantity/quality of the food. It's still good, but not very good anymore.

19/09/2026: A very pleasant surprise tucked away behind a bar/tobacconist. A magnificent sea view, practically on the water! The staff were very friendly and the service was quick. A small but tasty menu, with a special mention for the homemade ice cream. It's advisable to reserve some dishes in advance. Highly recommended! 😊

However, I made the mistake of politely asking if my plate could be changed for dessert because mine was covered in egg yolk, and she refused, saying, and I quote, "Otherwise, I'd have an unlimited supply of dishes if everyone did what you did. The whole point of brunch is to eat both savory and sweet." Thanks for the info; indeed, the idea of ​​brunch is to mix savory and sweet, but eating a Nutella pancake swimming in egg yolk... meh. We're talking about a plate here, after all; I don't think I was asking for the moon.

18/09/2026: Takeaway pizzas with lots of flavor and generous toppings! Preparation time of 15 minutes in the evening. The Charentaise pizza was also delicious 😋

06/09/2026: I ordered seafood pasta when I saw "fresh pasta." Being a bit of a connoisseur, I can almost certainly say that the pasta wasn't fresh and was definitely overcooked. As for the seafood, it was just a bag from the freezer hastily added to a very mediocre sauce. Given the Google ratings, I'm struggling to understand. My partner ordered a pizza. The crust wasn't too bad, but aside from an astronomical amount of unspeakable, greasy cheese, that was it. In short, I'd rather eat at home than eat that.

30/04/2026: A very nice hotel with friendly staff. 10/10! - the food at dinner was the only minus. Pretty expensive compared to the tiny portions and even smaller menu.

30/04/2026: Very nice hotel and the location is amazing, wonderfull view! Great staff which is outstanding and very service minded. Great value for money. The breakfast is also very delightful. Very quiet at the hotel, and always available spots where you can sit alone and enjoy the sea view. Would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. I’ll come back!
