22/02/2026: The place is beautiful and pleasant, but the service was disastrous. It was incredibly slow, and the waiter was very unpleasant and condescending. We left after a very long 3.5 hours. The food was good, but the prices were excessive for what it was. I do not recommend this place if you are looking for a pleasant and convivial experience.

07/06/2026: Well, the reviews were very good, so we went. The welcome was very friendly, the service had character, but that's typical of a country restaurant. The food was greasy, the Jeanne salad could have been more generous, and the duck dish was truly disappointing, with an overcooked and very reduced confit, and a duck breast that was also overcooked, but no one asked how it would be cooked. A plate of small vegetables, as described on the menu, was served with a lot of fries. The real problem was the bread; how can you serve such low-quality bread with foie gras and throughout the entire meal? For dessert, the waiter told us it was included in the €42 set menu, but we only got two scoops of ice cream, not the third. The recommended wine was the cheapest one, a local wine, but very basic. The setting was very pleasant otherwise. In short, we were disappointed. The food wasn't well-prepared, the quality of the ingredients was questionable, and the service could be quite inconsistent.

A big mouth with a heart of gold, and plates as generous as his punchlines. I laughed, I ate, I even had seconds of dessert (for fear he'd scold me). I highly recommend it!”

10/07/2026: A fantastic experience! We're vegetarians, we called about a week in advance and received a completely customized menu! The flavors, the textures... We discovered a very rich and sophisticated vegetarian cuisine. The house cocktail was also excellent. (And it's very accessible from Escalquens train station.)

09/07/2026: Was I refused because I'm allergic to tomatoes or because my husband is vegetarian? I don't know. In any case, it's the first time a restaurant has ever refused my reservation after I left a message explaining my tomato allergy and my vegetarianism! And they call themselves gourmet! A true gourmet chef knows how to adapt by cooking two vegetables and an egg, and even make a beautiful dish out of it!

18/08/2026: The service was atrocious. We waited so long we had to leave before dessert. The waiters were nonchalant and never smiled. The food was greasy and low-quality… completely uninteresting. There are plenty of other restaurants nearby. It might have been nice 15 years ago, but now just keep walking; you're guaranteed to be disappointed.
