13/06/2026: The owners were very friendly, but one of the waitresses must have been having an off day. The meal was decent, nothing special. The flank steak was far from tender. The atmosphere was pleasant and the place was clean.

28/04/2026: We came for lunch two days in a row, as a group of three, without a reservation. Even though it was busy when we arrived, they did their best to find us a table and we received a very warm welcome. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked. We recommend making a reservation if you can.

05/10/2026: I came to this bakery one morning and was quite shocked by what I saw. A member of staff—I don't know if it was the pastry chef or the baker—dropped several croissants on the floor. Instead of putting them aside, he simply picked them up and put them back on the tray as if nothing had happened. I find this really unacceptable, especially regarding hygiene and respect for customers. We buy food products trusting the establishment, so seeing this kind of behavior is frankly worrying. I had seen something similar with baguettes before, but at that time it was a young employee and I wasn't sure what I had seen, so I didn't say anything. But after what I saw with the croissants, and also after reading another review about insects on the pastries, I find the hygiene in this bakery truly questionable. I'm simply sharing what I personally witnessed; everyone can form their own opinion. But honestly, I won't be going back and will tell everyone I know to avoid this bakery.

15/09/2026: What a terrible experience! The two waiters were simply very unpleasant. It was as if we were interrupting their work. Their tone, their cold and curt responses, and their overall attitude clearly made the customer feel unwelcome. The food was good, but the service really needs improvement. A minimum of politeness, courtesy, and basic manners would be the very least one could expect in an establishment that serves the public. I also don't understand how this restaurant can be listed in Le Petit Futé. It's a real shame, because the quality of the food isn't enough to make up for such an unpleasant welcome. I also want to preemptively address this, given the lengthy posts you systematically write in response to negative reviews: we are polite and respectful people. While this review is certainly unpleasant to read, it is genuine and sincerely reflects our experience. We were present, we know what we experienced, and we fully stand by what we wrote. Everyone is free to share their experience and opinion, respecting the rules and freedom of expression. Therefore, there's no need to rewrite our experience, question our visit, or try to portray us as people we're not. As for the contemptuous tone used in your responses to negative reviews, we simply suggest you keep it to yourself. A professional and respectful response would certainly be more constructive. And finally: it seems unpleasant people have a surprisingly long life expectancy… Given the level of unpleasantness displayed here, perhaps you've found the magic formula. At this rate, the bicentennial awaits you at the end of the road! First and last time. PS: Thank you for your magnificent response… very predictable in its form… Just another day in the life for you… I'll let everyone form their own opinion. But I'll reiterate: the food is good, despite your deplorable service.

12/09/2026: As usual, I had a wonderful evening at La Petite Folie. It's a restaurant I adore, my favorite in Orléans and beyond. The food is divine, and the service is both warm and professional. The restaurant's location is beautiful, on a lovely square. I come to La Petite Folie whenever I'm in Orléans, and it's always a great pleasure.

03/06/2026: A warm welcome from attentive and helpful staff. Comfortable room. Excellent value for money and a very well-located hotel. The shower was only superficially clean, but otherwise the bathroom served its purpose. We arrived during a heatwave, and the night was hot with a rather ineffective fan. Buffet breakfast.

01/05/2026: The staff were pleasant, and the room was clean, but there was a clear lack of maintenance (shower door, entrance door). As for the restaurant, despite an appealing menu, the quality of the food did not justify the price.

24/09/2026: What a shame! There's so much potential... Tonight I'm passing by at 9:15 PM, only 5 trucks in the parking lot. But the barrier is already down, they're not looking for customers, it seems... You have to stop being so defensive with the drivers, it doesn't please everyone... just the cones at the entrance to the parking lot that prevent you from entering without their permission. Basically, it puts me off immediately! Why isn't the restaurant on Truckfly anymore? Apart from that, it's a shame, the staff is nice. The food is not bad, the restrooms too. Basically, compromise, it will only benefit your business.

10/10/2026: We had lunch in the upstairs room... very quiet. Excellent service. The dishes were beautifully prepared and very generous. The service was quick. A restaurant I highly recommend. Remember to make a reservation.

08/05/2026: Help!! I booked a table for a friend's birthday. The manager told me it was perfectly fine and asked for the reservation time (so far, so good). We arrived at the château the next day at the scheduled time, and there was NO ONE there!!! I tried calling, but to no avail. Thank you, sir, for ruining this birthday evening that was so important to me. How is it possible to take my reservation and then, when I arrive at the château, it's like it's been abandoned? At least have the decency to answer the phone instead of wasting people's precious time.

29/03/2026: We chose to celebrate our wedding at this magnificent estate, and we couldn't have dreamed of a better place. Everything was absolutely perfect: we were able to personalize the menus for our guests, choose the castle's reception room, and select the table layout, which allowed us to feel completely at ease, especially with the children. The choice of dishes was varied, everything was delicious, and beautifully presented. We particularly appreciated the tranquility of the venue, without being disturbed by other guests. We felt right at home in this exceptional setting. A huge thank you to the castle manager for his professionalism, attentiveness, and excellent interpersonal skills, which greatly contributed to making this day an unforgettable moment.

04/07/2026: Absolutely must try this place if you want a shameful, catastrophic, and completely illegal experience!! Passing through for business, we couldn't get a receipt, well, actually, we did, look at the photos: No VAT, credit card refused, with the explanation that the cashier was right next door, no cash register!! The hygiene was appalling: the "desserts" were left out in the open, even though it was 30°C outside! The cook in jogging pants and a sports t-shirt is fine for a run, but not for working in a kitchen. They offered a set menu for our arrival for the "1st anniversary of the restaurant," which included a welcome cocktail. We're still waiting for it. This menu was couscous with a mechoui salad + dessert for €16. Okay, we weren't expecting a royal couscous for that price, but still, not this! A plate of semolina, two pieces of carrot, two pieces of zucchini, three meatballs about 2cm each (or one chicken thigh). Everything was overcooked and, consequently, incredibly dry, but surprisingly, completely cold... long live the microwave!! It's not like we didn't warn you... The mechoui salad was so spicy it was inedible, and it's not like we don't enjoy spicy food, but well, at the same time, since we never even saw the "homemade" harissa, we'll say that makes up for it! The broth we ordered as an extra to try and wash it all down was just slightly colored tomato water.... We asked for extra merguez sausage, but this is the only "oriental" restaurant in France that has neither beef, nor merguez, nor lamb.... Hence the tasteless broth, I suppose! And when we got to the till, because after the couscous (which we left at 80%) we wanted to stop spending, the woman wanted to charge us for three complete meals when we only had: 0 cocktails 1 salad 3 couscous dishes 0 desserts In short, I call them crooks. This place should be shut down!

12/06/2026: It's not the most obvious place when you arrive in the square, but it's a little gem. Warm welcome. No wait and a superb meal, well presented. You can really taste the homemade quality. Add to that a sublime dessert: strawberry meringue and hot chocolate. Pure bliss. I'll be back. N Guédra
