01/09/2026: Two people were refused entry at lunchtime because they hadn't made a reservation… no problem… except that the three gentlemen behind us turned around because they hadn't made a reservation either… and then the owner/waiter stopped them and said, “You didn't make a reservation, but I can't seat two, but I can seat three?” The owner was a bit cheeky and unpleasant! This place is not recommended because they pick and choose their customers… very questionable business practices.

16/08/2026: Very good food and excellent service. Unbeatable prices, a wide variety of choices, and delicious homemade food to boot. We'll be back.

25/06/2026: We ordered two beef tartares. We were brought an empty salt mill, a jar with two small packets of ketchup, and an empty Worcestershire sauce container. When we pointed this out, we were simply told they were out, without any suggestion or apology. Several servers then asked if we wanted them to go and get more, rolling their eyes whenever we had the misfortune to say yes. This struck us as odd: it shouldn't be the customer's responsibility to ensure the ingredients for a dish are available. A waitress was eventually sent to a nearby convenience store but returned without having found any sauce. When it was suggested that we look for another option, perhaps at a nearby shop, no real search was undertaken and no apology was offered. Unfortunately, the situation worsened when we explained that we didn't want to eat our tartare under these conditions. Instead of a courteous exchange, we were met with unpleasant remarks and a defensive attitude. The waitress explained that she herself ate her steak tartare without Worcestershire sauce, that in her opinion, this sauce played no particular role in terms of hygiene, that it served only to add flavor, and that many restaurants prepared their tartares without it. When we expressed a different opinion, she replied that we weren't going to "teach her how she does her job." The final straw came when we explained that we found it regrettable to be treated as demanding, even rude, customers when we were simply asking for a solution to a problem for which we weren't responsible. Her response was: "Well, you are!" Beyond the lack of sauce, it was primarily the lack of professionalism, the absence of apologies, the refusal to find a solution, and the tone used that deeply disappointed us. Finally, there was no gesture of goodwill or apology when it came time to pay the bill, just the card reader thrust in front of us at full price. If the job of a waiter consists of contradicting the customer, refusing to question anything, and disrespecting them when they express legitimate dissatisfaction, then we certainly aren't going to teach you how to do your job. However, if this job involves courtesy, a sense of service, and respect for the customer, then clearly there are a few reminders to be made. An experience we will not be repeating.

08/10/2026: Excellent my go to place for lunch in Cherbourg. The food is excellent and the service likewise. I am a challenge as I often arrive with animals and handicapped people but we have always had a memorable experience for the right reason. Change nothing and keep up the good work.

29/09/2026: I gave it a three for the price!!! The food was really good but way too expensive. They're probably taking advantage of the touristy nature of the place. Another important thing to consider is that they give you an entry code, but be careful because you have to pay when you leave!!!

28/09/2026: Very good restaurant, the food is good, the decor very nice. Our only regret is that when we asked to go inside because we were cold on the terrace, we were refused on the pretext that the restaurant was full, which was clearly not the case. Apart from that, we liked this place.

22/06/2026: We came as a group of four to eat, we had a very good meal and the service was excellent. The salmon croque monsieur was delicious with very good fries. I recommend it 100%.

03/10/2026: The best thing about this establishment is undoubtedly the welcome. The setting is original and pleasant. As for the rest, I have mixed feelings. I find the menu a bit limited. Nothing exceptional in terms of taste, neither good nor bad. I'm not disappointed because I was somewhat expecting this, but I still hoped for better. The purpose of my review is not to criticize this friendly place but rather to be constructive. That being said, thank you again for your hospitality.

30/09/2026: So, I've always liked coming to this place for its simplicity and "brasserie" feel, but I was extremely disappointed... I didn't even want to take a picture, I was so annoyed... I ordered pasta carbonara... a super simple, super affordable dish, and yet... a disaster!! Even a pasta box was better, clearly a mush of pasta, but the worst part is that there must have been, no exaggeration, 5 or 6 tiny pieces of bacon in the entire plate!!! Please pass this on to the cook... and the pasta was swimming in 1 cm of cream... The onion pie as a starter was the same!! It used to be a normal-sized slice, but this time I got a third of the size I'm used to... The prices have taken a huge hit... 20 euros for two hamburgers or 23 euros for a burger... soon it'll be 10 euros for a pint... all this during a difficult economic crisis! However, the service was quick, but the order was a bit slow. Sorry for the bad review, but if it can help you

26/09/2026: The meal was very good and the waiter very pleasant, but when it came time to pay (Bruno) he made me feel very uncomfortable because my payment didn't go through the first time. So I left with a bad impression, even though everything else was perfect. A shame.
