30/11/2025: During a slightly delayed hike, we enjoyed a delicious meal. The welcome and service were top-notch, friendly, relaxed, and full of smiles 👍. The homemade food was excellent, and the homemade desserts were superb, enjoyed on the sunny terrace during the spring weather. After our meal, we visited the bookstore 👍. Many thanks!

17/01/2026: AVOID AT ALL COSTS for people with reduced mobility. Here's what happened at lunchtime today. I had booked a table for two. The person who greeted us offered us two snack tables with high chairs. However, this wasn't possible because my partner has reduced mobility and is unable to sit in such chairs. He would have fallen for sure! They couldn't offer us a regular table. My partner told him he wasn't being accommodating and left the restaurant... the "unpleasant restaurant owner/waiter" retorted that I should have mentioned it when making the reservation (so it's my fault!!!) and felt that my partner had no right to speak to him... not only is he unpleasant, but he's also touchy (the waiter, of course!). I replied that I didn't know I had to specify on the reservation that I wanted a "regular" table... and that as a restaurant owner, he didn't do anything for people with reduced mobility. Somewhat annoyed, I told him to cancel the reservation. I left the restaurant and forgot to close the door...and then—in the parking lot—I was insulted by this extremely unpleasant and unhelpful restaurant owner (or waiter???). A group was waiting outside and witnessed the scene. So, we went to Augustin's table where we had a very good meal. One thing is for sure: we won't be going back to Barbak.

13/01/2026: A very nice hotel offering around thirty rooms, including some family rooms. We stayed with our three children. The room was a large duplex, nicely decorated, with a very comfortable king-size bed and three single beds on a mezzanine. It had a sea view and a small terrace. The bathroom had a shower. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was plentiful and varied, featuring regional products. The location is ideal, just a 5-minute drive from the main beach of Carnac. The manager personally welcomes you, except for late arrivals (key box), but remains available if needed. In short, a welcoming establishment that we highly recommend.
