03/07/2026: It's unacceptable that in a tourist town like Vannes, and especially next to a hotel, a restaurant is closed from Friday to Monday. When you've traveled for miles, you don't want to get back in the car to go to dinner in the center of Vannes and then return to the hotel. We chose the B&B hotel because the Cap Ouest shopping center was nearby... what a disappointment!

24/03/2026: A drink on the terrace in early December. No welcome whatsoever. No greeting, no smile. You could feel the lack of professionalism from the two people at the bar; they clearly had no system. The wine we ordered was really bad and overpriced. A shame.

20/03/2026: We were delighted to eat at this excellent restaurant; everything is homemade and delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. The service is very pleasant thanks to the kindness and smiles of the owners. A truly wonderful place with a fantastic menu. Reservations recommended.

05/08/2026: The location is very pleasant and the welcome warm. The prices seem a bit high for some dishes, especially the appetizers. As for the mussels and fries, the price is very reasonable and the portions are quite generous. However, the mussels are a bit small, some weren't very well cleaned, and there wasn't enough sauce. The onion pieces are too large, undercooked, and therefore rather unpleasant to eat. For dessert, the kouign amann was very good for a similarly reasonable price, and the portion was sufficient. I think this restaurant is quite recommendable, but I wouldn't recommend the mussels and fries.

17/07/2026: After a long hike in the blazing sun, my mother and I went to this crêperie for a bite to eat. I was delighted to discover a terrace and then a shaded garden with apple trees, overlooking the sea and adorned with agapanthus, where we could enjoy our meal. The crêpes were also delicious: a thin, slightly crispy batter with a lovely buckwheat flavor. We were served a large carafe of ice-cold water in addition to our drinks without even having to ask. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was the perfect break. I imagine spending a night at this place would be wonderful.

It's been one of my favorite places in the world for 10 years now; they're celebrating their 60th anniversary (plus 10): same place, same family, same wonderful community. Thank you so much for that.) 1. The people. The family who runs the place is absolutely lovely. They welcome me with open arms every time I visit and make me feel like I belong here. I see them doing the same for so many people who, like me, come back year after year, even decade after decade (one lady told me last week that she's been coming here for over 50 years). An atmosphere of peace, happiness, and serenity envelops people as soon as they step through the door. They are simply at home. I know that, like me, they think of Kervi and the welcome they receive there when they are away. It warms the heart to know that this place exists, with its moments of happiness and such a warm and generous welcome. Of course, we are on Belle-Île, but the hospitality of the Kervi family reaches a truly exceptional level. It's not just a place where you can find excellent bread; it's a place where you can be more yourself than anywhere else. 2. The Breton far, prepared according to a secret family recipe. It sells out quickly, so I enjoy it at breakfast so as not to miss out! The first time a neighbor took me here to taste the Breton far, ten years ago, I hadn't yet grasped its full delight; But when you're away, you feel the need to return to Kervi to savor a slice. I often see people joyfully enjoying generous slices of far breton, immersed in the happy atmosphere of reunion that reigns around the tables. 3. I also love the little grocery store where I can find everything—fresh produce, canned goods, frozen foods—to prepare simple meals at home, as well as local vegetables and cheese, a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (to enjoy at home or in the café, perhaps while making music), and unique souvenirs. These souvenirs, I don't know why, have more value in my eyes when I buy them at Kervi rather than elsewhere on Belle-Île... they're the little things that maintain my connection to the place once I'm back home. And of course, excellent bread, morning croissants, Breton far, and Breton cake... 4. The music... Thanks to the generosity and open-mindedness of the musicians and the local community, I, the shy Canadian I was ten years ago, was encouraged to join the circle with my tin whistle and then my flute, even though I didn't play very well at first. But they continued to welcome me warmly; people would even come and hug me simply because I was there, playing the flute. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this place, these people, and their welcome have completely changed my life, my self-confidence, and my joy... and not just in terms of music: I feel like I walk with my head held higher now because I have the right to sit in the circle and let loose. Since then, throughout my travels, I have searched in vain for an equivalent; Nothing compares to sitting around a table at Kervi. And that magic—that powerful magic emanating from this unique place—continues to work its spell even when I'm not there. Kervi is now a part of me, wherever I am. It was my very first experience in a Lebanese restaurant, and I had absolutely no idea what to expect… I chose the traditional Mezze, with its various appetizers followed by a chicken shawarma marinated in seven spices and served with Lebanese rice. I certainly wasn't expecting such an explosion of flavors. Each bite was a true journey. Everything was delicate, fragrant, and perfectly balanced… The chicken literally melted in my mouth. I was swept away by this waltz of flavors from beginning to end. A huge thank you also to the gentleman who greeted us. His kindness, his smile, and his attentiveness made this moment even more enjoyable. A truly wonderful discovery that I wholeheartedly recommend. I will definitely be back!
