26/09/2024: While passing through the region we discovered this charming little restaurant, a stone farmhouse with a beautiful terrace. We were very well received and advised. We had the daily menu and had a great time. Special mention for the crispy monkfish and prawn millefeuille!! Excellent value for money. Go there without hesitation. Well done Chef!

31/08/2024: Very difficult to understand the recent negative comments concerning the quality or flavor of the dishes... Knowing the address since the opening or almost, the staff and the menus have indeed changed but the level of the dishes and the quality of the products are always there with well-crafted recipes, with interesting combinations. A fairly short but effective map. Small downside on the noise level of the restaurant when there are a few people, as was the case this evening. Other than that, nothing to complain about, a good place to delight your taste buds!

31/08/2024: Ate twice in the last few days. The pizzas are very good: large, well garnished. But very disappointed with the (Savoyard) burger today. Bread was dry...reported during service but no reaction. Damage.

29/09/2024: Nous avons découvert l'Escale sous un coin de parasol....parapluie!!! Mais nous avons préféré la terrasse aux décibels de la salle intérieure... Une fois les assiettes servies, nous avions déjà oublié cette météo bretonne!!! Nous nous sommes régalés!!! Plats très bons et copieux!!! La sympathie du serveur "Jarry" ;)

20/09/2024: Seven of us booked & ate here on a weekday evening & it soon filled up. It is very impressive as you approach along the quayside & the decor is genial. We were seated at a long maneuverable table which was useful for some of us. Lots of friendly staff providing a very quick service. The Sea Bass with chorizo was delicious, but the (two) white fish dishes need heating properly. All plates were left clean! Good cafe gourmand.

17/09/2024: We booked at table so expected to be served within a reasonable time of being seated. That wasn't the case. The service was extremely slow even for ordering a drink let alone our food. Which took ages to come out to us. Other diners were also looking for service wondering why the service was practically non existent. It was Sunday evening around 7pm. When our food finally arrived we were so looking forward to it we refrained from eating anything at lunchtime. Our burgers were bone dry (we order medium rare) there was no flavour at all to the meat no charring from the grill it was just smothered in BBQ sauce and chunky quarters of tomatoes. My bun was burnt around the edges so I left that. That meal took around 50 mins to come from the kitchen. Beautiful establishment shame about the dreadful food. Such a disappointing experience. I didn't even take a photo of my food that's how unappetising I it was.

13/09/2024: Faisant part a nos amis de l ' exellence de cette pizzeria que nous recommandions, aujourd'hui quelle déception. Une Pays avec 4 malheureuses rondelles d'andouille perdues dans l'immensité du plat, une pate insipide et mal cuite. Idem pour la vegetale prise par mon epouse . Avant , nous avions le choix e tre deux diametres de pizza..plus maintenant...reste le grand diametre.

26/06/2024: We usually love this place but today it was very disappointing. We wanted Moules but waiter said they were finished so we both ordered the entrecôte, medium, with pepper sauce! First the pepper sauce was cold, the steak was tough, my friend couldn’t finish hers it was just too tough, the lettuce was not fresh and chips barely warm! We ordered two banana splits, usually these are fab these were not! Cheap ice cream, couple slices of banana and served on a plate! The waiter was on his own and doing a good job but there is a real difference in quality and not a cheap meal! As I said we love this place but it’s really gone downhill.

26/05/2024: Homemade pancakes & crepes, family team dedicated to its customers, view of the sunny Lac au Duc, what the people demand! We had a great time and will come back with pleasure, thank you Créperie du Lac 🤤
