21/09/2024: Friendliness, price, speed despite many people present on this Friday evening, everything was perfect. This restaurant is exotic and does good as much for the food like nan, Indian bread, a kind of flatbread as for the colorful and appetizing dishes, which kept their promise. I had a pleasant time there with friends who confirm my words. The food at this restaurant is a true balm to the soul in simplicity. Thank you for your kindness.

31/08/2024: We come regularly. Saturday evening at 9:20 p.m. we were turned away like trash by an arrogant waitress whom we ended up calling out because this person ignored us several times while we were waiting in front of the restaurant. Several tables were available but we were refused access because supposedly there was no longer a single table of 2. While all the tables are tables of 2.... in short.... very disappointed with this behavior. 2 loyal CUSTOMERS lost despite the good food. Fortunately in Chalon there is choice and still friendly and respectful people.

08/09/2024: The welcome was smiling, attentive, very considerate. The room is equipped with efficient air conditioning and offers all the desirable comfort. Perfection. The restaurant demonstrates the same qualities, perfect, friendly welcome. The cuisine is excellent, everything is a real pleasure. Note the strategic position of the establishment for discovering the region. A significant advantage is that the establishment is located on the edge of a huge public car park lined with trees, always available and very very quiet. In short, in a few words: it’s Excellence :-)

11/09/2024: Repas en famille ce 11 septembre 2024. ou nous étions 4 personnes. Nous avons déjà mangé plusieurs fois dans cet établissement et nous restons comblés par la qualité des plats que nous avons mangé et l'ambiance très festive partagée par les employés. Pizzas pour deux d'entre nous et poissons pour les deux autres. Chacun des plats a été un régal.. Ma pizza a été tout simplement une petite merveille de gouts et de saveurs. Copieuse à souhait. Le dessert (une pizza nuttela, je n'ai pas choisi le plus léger 😁) a parfaitement terminé cette soirée. Un petit digestif offert par le patron (merci à lui ! ) et les félicitations qui s'imposaient pour le chef ont finalisés cette excellente soirée pleine de bonne humeur, de rire et de détente. Une soirée très agréable pour un prix plus que raisonnable au regard de la quantité et qualité de ce que nous avons mangé (environ 29 euros par personne : Apéritif, vin avec le plat principal,, dessert, et digestif en cadeau) Un grand merci à l'équipe, vous êtes super !

07/09/2024: Fidèles clients nous sommes très déçus de notre dernier repas. Menu pâtes très allégé, pour un prix et une qualité à revoir! Idem pour la salade césar !! Le service est entièrement à revoir, il y a un manque de professionnalisme. Obligé de répéter au serveur plusieurs fois ce que nous avions commandé, desserts servis sans les.couverts et au moment de régler l'addition on ne.demande même pas au client si tout s'est bien passé !!!! Je pense que l'on ne reviendra pas de si tôt.

30/11/2024: A quick stop today for a mother/daughter tasting of some very nice savory crepes. It was plentiful, quick and the hosts were very friendly. We always come back with pleasure 😉

29/08/2024: Nous cherchions à dîner à 22h sur Chalon-sur-Saône et c'est le seul restaurant qui nous a accueilli. La dame est vraiment très sympathique et nous avons VRAIMENT bien mangé. Nous recommandons à 100%.

20/06/2025: We often go here, the food is good, but twice, when in a group, we are told someone has not paid and we have to make up the difference. It doesn't happen at the other 5 restaurants that we use.

17/08/2024: dinner for 2, fast service, welcoming young waitress, smiling, fast, very good. entrecôte dish 300g at 22€ excellent, shame the average garnish. fried salmon tartare salad at €17 very good, desserts at €7 excellent homemade tiramisu. Gourmet coffee, too bad the disappointing height was missing the ice cream. I will come back,

01/10/2024: What a view from this hotel! It’s on top of the hill, tucked away. Feels a bit like entering a bygone era, when the hotel was glamorous in its day. Staff was professional and welcoming. Some English spoken. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and had delicious food and drink. Our room had a private balcony looking out the back of the hotel, which was still a charming and private landscape. Our room was very large and the bed was comfortable, although the room and the hotel did seem a bit tired and in need of a refresh (maybe their is part of the charm?). The was the first hotel we encountered on our trip that gave us a sheet and blanket (vs a duvet)) which was appreciated, since I sleep hot. Our room did not have AC, and there was no real good option to ventilate the room, since the room had no window and only a patio door. If had we opted to sleep with the door open, there was no way to secure the room and someone could’ve walked right in from the street. There was a window in the bathroom, but it was broken and did not open. There was some mould in the shower, which would’ve easily been taken care of with some bleach. The pool was tepid, and the Jacuzzi was cold. The indoor pool area was quiet and peaceful, and had quiet please signs. It would not have been a good place for children. There is an outdoor pool, but it was closed due to colder weather when we were there. Overall, this is an interesting and quirky hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. Worth the trip!

22/09/2024: >>>> General atmosphere <<<< Correct welcome with explanations of possible activities. We did mini golf (which could benefit from getting back into shape). Then we went to the indoor pool. The temperature was lukewarm. The jacuzzi was cold. Towels were available. The hamam and sauna (10€/30min) were broken. >>>> For the bedroom <<<< We were surprised to have mold in the shower. We directly informed the reception... who was not shocked... who did not offer us to change rooms... In addition she mentioned having had the problem in another room and that as a result they had put "the paint ". >>>> For the meal <<<< We also had 2 menus at the restaurant (39€/pers.): decent starter, fatty steak without vegetables with bland fries (we didn't like it), decent dessert. The rolls were nice. The young waitresses are friendly and smiling. Given the problem with the room, we had the “free aperitif”. >>>> Conclusion <<<< We found that a real shame because it’s a place that could have potential. We saw that it is not maintained any more... and we therefore see the marks of time.

29/08/2024: Restaurant sur la place du village avec des plats traditionnels présentés un à un par le chef. Tout était excellent avec des produits régionnaux. Très bon rapport qualité prix.

19/08/2024: We spent a week in Valmorel. We went to a restaurant almost every evening, changing establishments each time. We can say that "La Marmite" is the best restaurant in Valmorel. The dishes are all homemade and the products are local. The two servers (a young blonde girl and a young man) are very friendly. In addition, they do their best to satisfy all customers even though all the tables are full! So, we went there to eat two evenings!!!
