31/01/2026: We stayed for two days at the hotel directly across the street, and after climbing the Galibier pass, we decided to eat at this place. I recommend this restaurant/bar. The owner is friendly and the food is good. And the beer, of course, is good. What more could you ask for? ;)

14/03/2026: We spent a week of our vacation in Valmeinier 1800 and couldn't find a restaurant that served Savoyard escalope. That's why we ended up at Le Brezain. I booked two days in advance for seven people without any problem, as the next day was already fully booked (which is always a good sign). We arrived a little early because we had underestimated the time it would take to get down from 1800; the bus is slower than the car. We were let in, but with the explanation that service hadn't started yet and we would have to wait, which is perfectly understandable, but it was said rather curtly. We had to apologize several times because I was so uncomfortable. The waitress was very kind; she seated us quickly, handed out menus, and inquired about how we planned to get back to the station since there were no buses. She was very helpful and politely explained that we would have to wait. When it came time to choose our meals, there was another small problem. My two children wanted to eat the grilled meat like grown-ups, but the portions were too large for them (300g of meat per person), and the children's menu (which is standard) only offered minced steaks/nuggets. So we decided to buy an adult meal for both of them. We didn't hesitate too much, since it cost more than the two children's menus combined, meaning no "loss" for the restaurant and the children enjoyed eating with us. But to our surprise, the owner categorically refused, saying that the number of dishes ordered had to correspond to the number of children. We tried to explain, but it was no use; we had to order an extra dish. Finally, we decided (with the wise advice of our waitress, thank you again) to share the pizza, which calmed things down, but I was surprised by such a lack of understanding and flexibility. We tried to ask what the daily special was, but again, I felt like I was bothering her, and there was no answer. Anyway, moving on. We still had a very pleasant evening; everything was delicious. The Savoyard escalope melted in our mouths, the meat was truly exquisite, and even the extra pizza was something we were very happy to share. It was really well made, just perfect. Thank you to the chef. In short, if you want to eat well, don't hesitate; a good meal is guaranteed. From a management perspective… I understand some of the difficulties and constraints you face, and you can certainly establish rules to be followed; that's perfectly understandable. Sometimes customers cross the line, and you have to stand firm on the decisions made, okay, but all of this should be done in a more friendly, kinder tone. All in all, we ate well, but there was a bit of frustration at the beginning.

15/02/2026: We came with friends on a Wednesday evening. We all ordered Savoyard dishes, and they were delicious! (The charcuterie was particularly good). We received a warm welcome and the bill was reasonable.

13/11/2025: A very warm welcome. Relaxing in front of a panoramic cinema screen while sharing delicious food with (or without) friends, then retiring to a cozy and well-appointed room with excellent bedding. It was a perfect stopover. I'll definitely be back.

02/03/2026: There is only 1 waiter and he only speaks French, not English or German. And he is also the one who cooks the food in the kitchen. Super bad service, but the food is ok. I might as well go to McDonalds, it would actually be better.

01/03/2026: Tasteless, mass-produced food. Limited menu. Only fries or green beans as a side dish. Major toilet leak. Poor value for money. A tasty sandwich with good bread and ham is much better. Avoid this place.

05/01/2026: A wonderful time at Café de Paris. We were welcomed at 2 pm with genuine warmth and immediately appreciated the efficient and friendly service. The set menu offered excellent value for money: a delicious lamb tagine with fries, followed by an absolutely divine homemade chocolate mousse. Pure bliss! A simple, efficient, and welcoming establishment that I recommend without hesitation. 😊🍽️

24/02/2026: We've been eating here for years and everything was perfect. The owner changed a few years ago, but we continued to go. The food is good. However, when it came time for dessert, we ordered an apple crumble that was impossible to break with a spoon because the topping was so hard. We asked for it to be sent back because it was simply inedible, and they still charged us for it (without offering a replacement). The person who took our payment told us that "to err is human" (regarding the crumble) and refused to deduct it from our bill… It's a shame because we used to come to this lovely and pleasant restaurant several times a year, but after this, we won't be back.

We've returned on other days when they had events going on, and it's always been a wonderful experience. Don't hesitate to take advantage of the spa as well; it's incredibly relaxing after a day of skiing! The staff are always welcoming and friendly, thank you! 🥰
