23/01/2026: A truly astonishing experience… in the worst possible way!!! I never would have believed that in 2026, a hotel could still refuse a guest after 9:30 pm. This is probably the only establishment in France that considers travelers a nuisance! My reservation, made on Tuesday, January 20th for an arrival on Friday, January 23rd, was perfectly confirmed. I had even specified that I would be arriving late, since I was coming from the south of France. Nothing unusual, until that fateful phone call on the road. The receptionist, charming and impeccably professional, explained, slightly embarrassed, that her boss had ordered her to no longer accept anyone after 9:30 pm. Fortunately, she knows her job: she even described the protocol for late arrivals, with an external key box and an access code, and kindly sent me photos of the system – location, code, everything. Everything was ready for a smooth stay. But clearly, the owner prefers guests who go to bed before him. He refused to implement this protocol, claiming that this solution was "reserved for regulars." In other words: if you have the misfortune of not being a regular customer, move along, your reservation is worthless. A contemptuous, anti-business, and outdated attitude. One really wonders what kind of "hospitality professional" closes their doors at 9:30 p.m. when everything is ready to welcome a tired traveler. When a hotelier treats their guests this way, they don't deserve the name "hotel," much less the trust of travelers. Absolutely avoid!

29/03/2026: Such a lovely and incredibly well located mountain café, situated above Plagne Bellcotte, perfect for those return trips from Les Arcs or skiing on this section of the Paradiski. Service was always smooth, slightly slower at peak times, but thats to be expected. Great food, great choice of drinks and tunes at the end of the day....

24/08/2026: Excellent value for money. The staff were friendly, and I particularly appreciated that the coffee included in the set menu was replaced with tea, organic no less, offered by the waiter. I highly recommend it!

11/04/2026: Horrible service , the food in the main restaurant is terrible and the service in the restaurant is teribble! The rooms are not that clean. They didn’t add more towels when they were all used. The room was soooooooo hot, the bed is uncomfortable and so are the pillows. In breakfast they charge you money if you ask for fresh orange juice, in the half board they caculate at dinner what you order and the if you exceed 65 euro per person they charge you extra. The only good thing I have to say is about the ski shop - Andy was so lovely and gave us the best service. Bottom line this is not a 5 stars hotel

07/04/2026: Great experience despite reading the mixed reviews. The staffs and conceige were all very friendly and approachable, we had a great time with gd memories of our stay Heated ski lockers and ski in/out was super convenient. Not to mention the ski rental is just beside the lobby. Special mention to the one of the conceige staff ( a young guy sorry we din get his name ) who assisted my hubby with the winter socks for our rental car. He even gave us 2 bottles of water for the road. These kind gestures meant so much to us. Oh the free shuttle to town and back were such a nice touch esp on snowy days. Thank you Altapura for adding fond memories to our French alps adventure. Hope to be back in near future as we are from far away Asia.

04/09/2026: Passing through Aix. Ordered 2 Calzones. Disaster, straight to the bin. Not worthy of a pizza maker. Shameful.

01/08/2026: This isn't our first time ordering, and it certainly won't be our last! The pizzas are delicious, and the staff is very friendly! I highly recommend it; go and treat yourself!

16/04/2026: Great night at The Marmot - best place to watch the football in the evening around here for sure! The food is mouthwatering good, one of the tastiest burgers I've ever had. Shall certainly be visiting again when I return to Tignes.

23/02/2026: A fantastic and cosy restaurant located at the top of the first lift. It offers a small but well thought out menu, that has clearly been mastered over years. Whilst the food was expensive (simple yet delicious) the flavour was well worth the cost. The only caveat is the restaurant is small and very busy, so if you go as a small group you will most likely be sat at a table with other guests.

21/01/2026: A break at this restaurant is a must after a few runs down the slopes, to enjoy a generous croziflette or some incredible Thai ravioli. All served by a super friendly waiter in a very relaxed atmosphere... I'll definitely be back soon.

31/07/2026: We'd love to give it 6 stars, but it's not possible. The welcome was excellent. The atmosphere was pleasant. The dishes were very tasty, with a menu to suit all tastes. Vegetarians, we were in heaven! The cocktails were very original and well-made. In short, don't change a thing!

03/07/2026: Good evening. This establishment is to be AVOIDED… “Absolutely!!!” I can’t tell you anything about the reception, the service, or the quality of the food. I booked 48 hours in advance… directly… with (some doubt) WE WERE STILL LEFT IN FRONT OF A CLOSED DOOR!! P.S.: I’m being polite… But the insults… how can I put it… “they were like sheep from the Alps!” A word to the wise… Everyone should come to ST ROCH 3!!!

20/09/2026: I'm giving 2 stars because the food was good, but the cleanliness of the place needs improvement. From the moment we arrived, we noticed that all the tables were dirty. We had to ask at the counter to have our tables cleaned; this shouldn't happen in a restaurant! Are you familiar with HACCP standards? And don't bother telling me you'll pass this information along because despite all the previous comments alerting you to the filth in your restaurant, nothing has been done! June 2nd visit: The floor was wet from a spilled glass of soda. The staff was notified. Response time: 20 minutes before it was "cleaned." In fact, the employee made the floor even wetter. As a result, two children fell, and my son almost died. And what are the managers doing instead of drying the floor? They're checking the trash cans even though the puddle didn't seem to bother them. Also, the restrooms are still filthy: toilet paper and wrappers on the floor. AND NO SOAP IN THE DISPENSER! In short, IT'S WORSE! The state of the kitchen is likely to be the same! Visit of September 20, 2026 We were hoping for a positive change, but... Still just as deplorable. This time we placed our order at 8:52 PM. It wasn't crowded: one occupied table downstairs and the upstairs area closed to customers. While waiting for our order, we noticed that the dining room was in a truly disgusting state. Our order was delivered at 9:15 PM. In short, it's a good thing we don't come here often.

23/03/2026: We enjoyed a good meal with a generous portion of homemade fries at a very reasonable price. Unfortunately, the service was subpar, with an extremely unpleasant, even aggressive, waitress!
