13/11/2024: I went to Ernest and Valentin’s house today, and I was very disappointed by the welcome. Although I was visibly waiting, a saleswoman chose to serve another customer who arrived after me.
This lack of consideration surprised me so much that I preferred to leave. I can't say if this was due to discrimination...
Very disappointed with this experience with Ernest and Valentin.
10/11/2024: I went to the bakery to take my order from a waitress with a smile, polite who understands us, thank you Alexandra. Not like a young girl max 20 years old who was there in the evening doesn't smile, pulls her head, not even polite. Frankly unacceptable morning team more polite than the evening one I would return that in the morning I put 5 at the service thanks to the morning team of 10/11/2024 etc but if I could have I would have put 5 stars everywhere for the morning but not for the evening I don't know where he finds their employee but catastrophic for the young girl who worked that evening. Looks like she didn't want to work

24/02/2026: Long black hair found in my salad, also half rotten salad leafs. Manager would not compensate. Go somewhere else. It’s too expensive too.
19/02/2026: We arrived in the middle of a heavy snowstorm, cold and ready for lunch. The restaurant was already getting busy, but having placed our order via the very straightforward app, the food and hot drinks arrived in three minutes which was amazing given the number of people being served. The staff were very polite, and made a great effort to make sure everybody was sorted around all the tables. They also kept the place clean and tidy as soon as guests had finished.
I’d like to call out Elliott and Celeste in particular who did a super job.
Looking forward to another trip to La Paul.

24/01/2026: Okay, the Caesar salad was good, but the fries were definitely very, very frozen…! It's fine in a pinch, but don't expect haute cuisine! The waiters are friendly!

Great spot with decent food , priced okay for France, and pleasant people .... This time is expensive (same cost as white tablecloth restos on the hill or in the town) with mediocre food, costly drink and grumpy servers .
Bring back the old ways!
15/01/2026: A beautiful pub with a large terrace, nestled on a slope. The service is great, and I thank them for the lovely gift to my collection :-) You can buy French craft beer on tap here, which surprised me by its excellent aroma and taste. The views are stunning. Greetings from Poland to Joe the Gorilla!

03/05/2025: Lovely tent on the way to the Dutchweek tent. Always pleasantly busy and the TV is always on with sports.
The service is very friendly and fast. The food is excellent, especially for the price and the crepes are especially delicious (recommended: Québécoise crepe!).

Otherwise, they are fast, friendly, and offer a generous 40cm size, which is great for those with a hearty appetite.

And if it wasn't mold, how come we were given a discount on drinks?
Your comments are very vague and contradictory...

The service was okay. A young woman who seemed overwhelmed.
Here's where things get complicated: Savoyard fondue with... moldy bread. The first round was hard but okay.
The second round was... greenish.
Moldy bread, perfect.
When it came time to pay, we asked for a discount, because three times €24 for a fondue with moldy bread is simply unacceptable.
"Oh, there's nothing I can do," in the end we didn't pay for the drinks, after two people made a scene and posted a negative Google review.
Here it is.
You're better off getting a sandwich at the bakery and a beer at the bar next door.
1 star because 0 doesn't work.
30/01/2026: A gamble, as we just wanted to have a nice meal out for the last day of our holiday. We underestimated how good this restaurant is. Reasonably priced for Val Thorens, with delicious pizzas. Nice and thin with plenty of toppings.
Recommended to make a reservation!
We've already put this restaurant on our list for our next skiing trip. Thanks!

27/01/2026: The quality has declined recently, the main course is basic and a bit heavy, the dessert is industrial, which is a shame because the team is very friendly.
01/01/2026: Frozen waffle, unpleasant staff, dropped my crepes on the road and still served them at the table. I had to argue with the waiter to get them to replace them.
