12/07/2026: Heatwave-related sweltering heat. Repeated requests (4 or 5) for a carafe of water during a very long wait. Completely fed up, I went to the counter to get some water. I'm still waiting for my salad, which was never served!

12/07/2026: Waiting an hour can happen. A voucher can get lost. But when you point out that it's been an hour and you still haven't been served, and you just shrug and roll your eyes without even apologizing… they should find another line of work. No gesture of goodwill and uninteresting food.

19/07/2026: Bought a Tropezienne tart this morning. Tried it at lunchtime; the pastry was hard and dry. It tasted like it was from yesterday, and for 15 euros! It's a Tropezienne with strawberries. The top was as hard as polystyrene and tasted like cardboard. Even the strawberries were purple. Not good.

05/06/2026: Everyone is very friendly and the pastries are very good.

31/05/2026: We stopped to get McDonald's to go. When we arrived, one of the employees came out, we held the door open for her, no thank you, nothing, very unpleasant. We ordered and paid at the counter. The employees looked at us; they could see we were waiting to pay, but nothing happened, no one came. We waited a good 10 minutes before being served.

23/05/2026: I strongly advise against it, the place is filthy! It really doesn't make you want to eat here.

13/07/2026: We stopped by for lunch; the service was quick and friendly. The only downside was the price, which was a bit high, but understandable given the touristy location.

27/06/2026: We went for lunch today. We chose the ravioli casserole with morels. The dish was excellent. The two waitresses were very kind and professional. However, we had a very bad experience with a young man with a ponytail. We wanted some bread and called him over as he was preparing a table. This young man replied coldly, "I'm not a waiter"... not to mention the unpleasant little grimace. He could have at least answered us properly and found someone to see what we wanted. What a shame...

29/06/2026: The welcome and the team are fantastic! The paninis are excellent, and the tiramisu is yummy ☺️

10/06/2026: Fantastic! A menu to suit all tastes and impeccable service! The staff is very attentive. Even for a group, they do their best to be on time. Go for it! Try it, you won't be disappointed.

23/05/2026: Cozy cafe with lots of options (including matcha). We tried the chai and the capuccino with lavanda and both were delicious

12/05/2026: Normal atmosphere, very average service, cold and no knowledge of the products (especially about Matcha), maybe good for a coffee.

15/10/2025: Six of us had dinner here last night and it was excellent. The soup, fish tartare, foie gras were lovely starters. The plats included salmon, lamb and chicken, all delicious. Dessert was a delicious chocolate construction and lavender crème brûlée. The waiter was very helpful with English descriptions of the dishes, chose some dishes for several of our party and had excellent wine recommendations. Service was quick and not cloying. And we relaxed after dessert finishing our wine without being bothered. One of the best restaurants we’ve been to in Malaucene and we’ve been to most of them. Would put this as one of the top three.

18/06/2026: Location is great. We only had a after dinner drink in the patio and service was slow. Room really nice but a little small. Receptionist very kind suggested restaurants around. Because of the narrow streets in the old town, we ended up scraping all the rims on our sports car. However, when we left, the parking attendant was extremely kind and helped guide us out of the old town.

12/06/2026: La Mirande is a gorgeous hotel with a perfect location in Avignon. When I first arrived I was given a room that was so incredibly beautiful it felt like the room of a queen. Unfortunately, there was a plumbing issue underneath my bathroom that precipitated me needing to be moved to another room. While the staff was incredibly courteous and attentive to me during this issue, the updated room I was moved to was much darker and had a musty smell - not quite as on par with the original room. Nevertheless, I would strongly recommend the hotel. I had several lovely meals out on the garden terrace admiring the flowers and the view of the Pope's Palace. And I really cannot emphasize enough how excellent the staff were at every moment of my visit.

21/07/2026: Delicious Greek cuisine with everything that transports you to sunny Greece. The borek are excellent. The service is young and friendly on this lovely terrace in Avignon.

06/04/2026: Hotel by the roadside, rooms with very poor soundproofing. It feels like arriving at a ghost hotel. Perhaps it was too close to opening time?

30/03/2026: We ended up at this hotel late one night after our Airbnb fell through. They were lifesavers! The staff, room, beds, location were all wonderful. For my family at four it was great to have grocery stores right across the street. I have nothing negative to say about our stay! It was lovely.

11/05/2026: First time at Le Vieux Four! Absolutely delicious, I highly recommend it!

09/05/2026: Very good wood-fired pizza, incomparable! I find that the change of ownership has not impacted the quality despite the comments I see, good dough, the only thing I can say is that depending on the pizza there are missing ingredients and sometimes too much cheese.

07/07/2026: Shared pizza, cold fries, a cocktail with only one ice cube, and to top it all off, subpar service. Ten minutes for a glass of rosé while the waitress enjoyed her cigarette! The energetic young woman, who will recognize herself, made up for the others. Perspective isn't everything.

02/07/2026: This place has an exceptional view which makes it worthwhile going just for that. The service was fine (I wonder if the bad reviews about service are from people expecting US style service). The food was fine, nothing amazing but good enough. And the prices are as you would expect for a tourist place. All in all, a good place to have lunch, just don't expect the Ritz.

26/06/2026: First visit since the change of ownership. A "hello" wasn't exactly customary at Françoise's, as everyone knew. It's a shame the two new young owners haven't brought this magic word back into fashion. Even when you arrive with your hands full. Is this a cursed place for saying hello with a smile? Otherwise, two of the three waitresses are smiling and friendly. Given the choice between two places serving coffee for €1.50, which do you think you'd go to? With or without a smile?

20/04/2026: By far my favorite café in Avignon! A very warm atmosphere, ideal for getting some work done, with delicious pastries of course ;) Update 4 years later: A landmark is closing… we'll miss you.
