23/09/2024: Bakery: 9 euros for two pastries (millefeuilles in particular) not fresh daily, it's expensive for what it is. Nevertheless, the bread and croissants are good.

13/09/2024: An address to recommend, the cook is really talented, we had a great time. Ideal location on a beautiful little square a stone's throw from the Palais des Papes.

26/08/2024: Second visit to avoid mosquitoes with my colleague I want to take away some pizzas I ask for a pizza by removing olive and oregano, the guy answers me no but wait sir I can't make the request otherwise you can imagine the preparer won't not going to make it 🤣😂 can you imagine if all the customers ask for a modification!!! Ptdr 5 customers in the room!!! I let my colleague down and got the pizza in 5 minutes tops!!! The joke, don't go there, I recommend Pizza Cozy at 7 minutes, it's better, less expensive and the service is nicer!!!!👍

11/08/2024: A very warm welcome in this stifling heat 🥵 The rosé was fresh and welcome to accompany the roasted camembert😋 I recommend this little place that we found randomly during our walk☀️

16/09/2024: Having stayed and eaten at The Feniere for 6 times in previous years when Reine Samuut was the proprietor, we always used this hotel to stay at when we were travelling through the South it was our banker knowing we would be happy there and get good Service. We hadn’t booked as we found ourselves in the area we were lucky (so we thought )there was a room available for 2 nights. The room was very sparsely furnished no headboard, Tv , no Fridge paintwork marked, bathroom curtain over the bath for the shower, paint coming off the tiles on the vanity unit. We ate in the Restaurant completely dissatisfied a choice of 2 starter, 2 mains which one was fish, 2 desserts. All courses were tasteless. We are not Vegetarian or vegan we are happy to eat vegetarian if there is taste we like good food but felt that the plot has been lost here. In all style over substance The Sommelier was dressed in what I would garden in ! a sloppy jumper! The music in the background was very dreary it was very badly lit no lights to show off the lovely grounds with the olive trees, as they always used to be. The reception staff were very accommodating , So no we will not return to our once favourite hotel restaurant .

29/08/2024: Une expérience scandaleusement prétentieuse, agrémentée d’une nourriture insipide, inintéressante qui se résume essentiellement à des pois chiches sous toutes ses formes (y compris saupoudrés de sucre glace en dessert) et de quelques feuilles microscopiques de shiso glanées dans le jardin et nappées de mayonnaise végétale au beurre d’amandes. Précisons que le menu ‘mer’ comprend 1 huître bouillie, 3 moules et un morceau de rascasse brûlée mais crue servie avec ses écailles, le tout facturé 900€ pour 4 avec les boissons. Nous avons eu beaucoup de mal à résister au fou rire lors de la succession des plats aussi mauvais les uns que les autres, accompagnés de descriptifs édifiants concernant la vision de la cheffe sur le pois chiches comme futur de l’alimentation (dire que je croyais que c’étaient les insectes, l’avenir!). Le pompon était la ‘mise en bouche’: le tofu de pois chiches saupoudré de thé matcha qui a l’avantage d’après la serveuse de n’avoir aucun goût et donc de préparer parfaitement notre palais à l’expérience gastronomique qui allait suivre. Le point d’orgue étant une crème glacée aux pois chiches saupoudrée d’herbes de Provence en dessert. Je précise que le menu qui nous a été remis ne mentionnait ni les plats ni le prix du repas. Bref un vol éhonté.

02/09/2024: We went to this restaurant at the end of August 2024 (a couple with a 4 month old child in a stroller). We were seated by a friendly waiter who seated us himself. The boss arrived and got carried away, shouting that the stroller had to be put in a place that did not block his path. Everyone in the restaurant was appalled by the way he spoke to us. We ended up staying because we urgently needed somewhere cool for our child but for that alone I will never recommend this restaurant. Average dishes.

24/08/2024: Great address. Very well located, pleasant terrace, very careful cuisine with a pleasant choice. The stuffed mushrooms are excellent, The beef fillet very well cooked rare as requested. Address not to be missed.

28/05/2024: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! I highly recommend this Subway. When I come to class in Avignon, I very often have lunch here. The team is always smiling and the welcome is warm. The sandwiches and salads are always delicious, prepared with fresh, quality ingredients.

24/05/2024: The gentleman who served us yesterday, Thursday May 23, around noon, was unpleasant and seemed to ignore the basic principles of customer relations. We ordered three large sandwiches. We specified that one of the three sandwiches would be without cheese and requested that this cheese be distributed among the other two sandwiches. The gentleman told us that this would be extra. We were very surprised by his response. We clarified that we have always made this request, whatever Subway (in France or abroad) we go to and that it has always been accepted, obviously without extra charge. We indicated that the cheese was included in the price of the sandwich and that it was therefore not correct to consider it as an extra simply because it was put in a different sandwich. The gentleman replied that, with him, it counted as an extra charge, without apologizing, without offering any alternative. Bravo to this gentleman who caused Subway to lose two loyal customers.

10/07/2024: Me and my boyfriend came here as I had terrible indigestion and desperately needed to go to the bathroom. We ended up getting drinks as the toilets are only for customer use, which is completely fair. We ended up leaving after to watch a football game as I started feeling very sick again and went back to this bar to go to the bathroom, as we had just been there and thus been customers. I started feeling incredibly faint, however as soon as I made my way to the bathrooms one of the workers (maybe the manager) came up to me and told me to leave the restaurant as I was not a customer. I told him I had just been here and had a drink, while pointing to the waiter that had just served us, but that I just wanted to briefly go to the bathroom because I felt like I was about to faint. He told me in the most rude and disrespectful way to tell that to the bar next door and threw me out. I immediately threw up in front of the restaurant for everyone to see. I genuinely thank that man for the most humiliating and atrocious customer service experience I have ever had. I have never felt so belittled and made fun of in my life. I cannot comment on the food or drinks as much, but when it comes to customer service and general compassion, do not come here.

24/06/2024: Go on your way, there are other bars in the warmer neighborhood Unfriendly bar owner, who insistently repeats that there can be “8 of us and not one more!” We ended up leaving...

11/09/2024: This is a delightful little place for breakfast on the square. The staff were warm and welcoming and the breakfast was fresh, simple, filling and affordable.

05/08/2024: Delicious pizzas. Good taste, completely freshly made. Friendly man and woman in the shop. The disadvantage is that you can only pay in cash, but the ATM is three doors away so that was quickly resolved. Definitely worth it for good takeaway pizzas!
