16/06/2026: A wonderful discovery on the Camino de Santiago! One of our best choices for a night in 7 days: a beautiful, tastefully decorated house. Everything was spotless. The room was comfortable. The meal, made with fresh, local produce, was simply delicious. Thank you to the owner for his warm welcome and quirky sense of humor. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely book La Domerie :-)

30/08/2026: We were really disappointed. We came on a recommendation. Most of the menu items were processed or frozen; it's more of a snack bar than a restaurant. We would have preferred fewer choices but fresh or cooked dishes. Honorable mention, however, for the warm welcome and attentive service. The ambiance and presentation of the dishes were excellent. It's a shame everything is there except the most important thing: the food itself. Note: We didn't try them, but the charcuterie boards looked appetizing.

Go without hesitation; you won't be disappointed. An excellent restaurant in a very pleasant village to visit. Thank you to the entire team at St. Damien for this wonderful culinary experience.

23/08/2026: We had a fantastic meal! There's no choice; it's a set menu for adults, and children get nuggets or hamburgers with mashed potatoes or fries and dessert (a slice of ham as a starter 😂). Between the first and second courses, they brought something like mountain pâté with pickle pieces on a plate to share (it looked like they'd taken it from someone earlier, and judging by how quickly they took it from us, it probably had 😂). Between the main course and dessert, there was a plate with different cheeses, and then dessert. We practically rolled out of there! The waitress was incredibly fast, and I couldn't tell if she was in a hurry or just plain mean. She didn't slow down at all, even though she didn't speak French, and she rushed everything away. I tried to translate for my daughter what she had to choose, and while I was still talking, she rushed off. She didn't want to waste so much time waiting! What's certain is that we'll be remembering her service for a while 😂. She was a machine at her job, though, so I'm not going to lower the rating for that! The rest of the people were very friendly!

01/07/2026: Having booked some time ago, we arrived well after closing time. Despite this late arrival (which was anticipated when we booked), everything was already in place to welcome us. A remarkable meal awaited us. All we had to do was reheat it and enjoy. We had two very pleasant adjoining double rooms with an extraordinary view of the "Lake," namely the Lot River, held back a few kilometers downstream by a dam. The restful night was most welcome. There was no noise at all. It was perfect. Breakfast was of the same high quality. This friendly, family atmosphere is thanks to Justine and Anthony, our hosts, whom we thank for their kindness, their helpfulness, and the quality of their service.
