30/12/2025: Located on a main road, with parking. The daily special was very good: duck confit with sautéed garlic potatoes – yum! The children's menu included a hamburger and homemade fries, which were excellent. A cordial was also included. They also offer dishes featuring duck, andouillette sausage, and chicken. Excellent desserts: crème brûlée, cheesecake, and fresh fruit salad. We tried them. They also have chocolate cake, etc. The decor is a garage with cars, etc. Very reasonable prices. We recommend it.

05/07/2025: The food is good and well presented. The service is fast and pleasant. Despite everything, we feel a recent revival of the restaurant with a few tentative steps. It was a very nice discovery, I will gladly return in a few months to see how it has evolved.

The welcome is warm and welcoming. The dining room and restrooms are clean. A friendly meal with colleagues on a Friday evening. Our warm thanks to the entire team, from the kitchen to the dining room.

07/07/2025: No work on the dough, it looks like a tarte flambée style pastry. Poor quality ingredient, I'm not giving a star because we can't say it's inedible but very disappointed

26/06/2025: A great romantic outing at 9:30 a.m. in the cool of the day. We were alone in the world on the Dordogne River during the castle trail. Efficient welcome and clear explanations upon arrival at the starting point, equipment in good condition. We highly recommend 👍

10/06/2025: First canoeing experience for me, accompanied by two friends and our children. Everything is very well organized. Friendly welcome, then explanations from the very professional colleague before setting off to sail on the Dordogne. We chose the 2.5 hour castle route. It was very nice to do. A beautiful ride with beautiful landscapes. We all had a great time relaxing and laughing, young and old alike enjoyed it. When we arrived at the end of the ride, a van was waiting for us to take us back to the starting point. I highly recommend this canoe company.

02/09/2025: We visited on a quiet Tuesday evening. Well worth the short walk from our hotel in the centre, the restaurant is modern and well kept. The staff were lovely, service great and the food excellent. Good value at €55 for two of us.

21/11/2025: The food was good, but the service... Oh my god, the service! 😂 We arrived at 8:15 PM and were scolded for being 15 minutes late for our reserved table. They had our phone number, but the response was, "Do you realize if we have to call every time?" The kitchen closes at 8:30 PM. They made it clear that serving us was a special favor. Luckily, the chef took charge and was very friendly.

18/11/2025: The Chambellan hotel is a very pleasant haven of peace. The hotel is charming, the rooms are well-decorated and well-equipped, and the hotel is very well-maintained. The village is magnificent, with many castles and tourist attractions to visit nearby. We received a very warm welcome and excellent advice. I highly recommend a stay at the Chambellan.

29/12/2025: We stumbled upon this spot for a meal on a winter Monday. We appreciated the warm welcome, the service, and the dishes, which showcased a distinctly Périgord identity. There was a bit of a wait, but it was quickly forgotten. I recommend it.

A superb location, excellent food, excellent servers—what more could you ask for? The children's menu… Not great and not very ambitious… the age limit needs to be reviewed to attract more customers…

30/08/2024: 08/28/2024 Super disappointed I usually come but here I should have avoided...mussels and fries lots of closed mussels, lots of empty shells and no they were not at the bottom of the dish unfortunately for the shells in pieces in my opinion.. ..result on the number = a lot of nothing!!!! good but the fries nonnn I was in a good mood I didn't send the dish back; at the moment, but frankly you should avoid serving broken pieces from the bottom of the fryer basket... seriously it was only broken pieces dark brown bordering on burnt, dry or saturated with oil....I should have taken a photo of this, my biggest regret...what a shame to serve this!!! I reported it to the waiter who probably said it to the waitress who took care of our table given the not very friendly looks... well yes when things are going well I say it but frankly wow you also have to hear rather than to act as if "nothing to do" ... Mathias was not there and it was visible both in the kitchen and in the service, too bad!!! I didn't even get to the desserts and the coffee...the stuff that was supposed to be fries that I ended up sending away with the dishes....awful enough to kill my appetite...I I'll think twice about it from now on. I think Mathias would have made a commercial gesture because he would have really listened, that's for sure!!! I prefer that my reservation be refused if there are people rather than being taken to find that on my plate!!! Lots of people certainly but at the expense of quality too bad!!!
