13/09/2026: We discovered this place by chance. We were heading to Dax and stopped for lunch. We hadn't made a reservation, but they made room for us. What can I say? They were absolutely excellent. The menu was perfect. The surroundings are magnificent. Peace and quiet were guaranteed.

20/06/2026: Excellent end-of-season meal for our walking club. Very good meat, delicious chicken, and excellent duck breast. Very well organized and the dining room was cool and inviting. 👍 I highly recommend this farm inn, La Fanole.

04/06/2026: We visited the hotel in September 2025 with a small dog, to enjoy some drinks on the terrace outside the restaurant. We were welcomed and the service was great. We invited some friends to join us in June 2026 and were told that ‘the hotel only allows one dog on the hotel premises at any time and since there was already a dog’, we could not be served. Disappointing.

14/09/2026: The customer or the cash register? Clearly, the choice is easy! A rather disappointing experience at La Maison Carré. The welcome was lukewarm, the saleswomen sometimes condescending… We're not asking for the red carpet, just a little consideration! I mainly got the feeling that profitability came before the customer. As long as the credit card goes through, everything's fine! A quick note about the walnut cake: €12.50 today compared to around €10 three or four years ago. Inflation, the war in Ukraine, tensions in the Middle East… or simply a love of the cash register? To each their own explanation! As for the quality, it's not bad, but you can find just as good in the valley. Personally, I highly recommend Les Gourmandises de Lucco. Mr. Lucco was Mr. Carré's mentor. I find him to have much more business acumen, professionalism, and, above all, genuine consideration for the customer. In short, I'd rather drive a few extra kilometers and be treated as a customer than just a checkout line. PS: I can already see the responses coming, explaining, justifying, or denying all this… Everyone is free to see things as they wish. I'm simply talking about what I saw, what I paid for, and the service I received. The rest is just marketing.

14/09/2026: An absolutely magnificent and delicious croquembouche! The presentation was elegant, the cream puffs were fresh, light, and perfectly filled. All our guests were delighted, both by the taste and the visual appeal. A huge thank you for your professionalism, your attentiveness, and the quality of your work. I highly recommend them!

08/09/2026: Lovely terrace. Very pleasant service, attentive young man. Excellent, refined cuisine. Please note that the menu is not the same as the one shown online... change of ownership, which is a shame.

27/08/2026: Oh, I just love this bar. A must visit. We stumbled across this location (up a steep side street), and found a true local establishment of charm and eccentricity. Unpretentious and casual, you order at the bar, sit wherever, and feel at home. The staff was delightful, the dog amusingly unfriendly (but also very well managed in a separated space), and the local blond beer was fresh and absolutely delicious. Don't expect to be pandered to any rudeness tolerated, but instead your good manners will bring out a fantastic local experience that you will remember. Thank you so much for your great hospitality (twice, as we had to visit a second time!)

16/08/2026: We had a small glass of dry white Muscadet sur lie, which went very well with our figs stuffed with foie gras, while waiting for the restaurant scheduled for 9pm

15/08/2026: What can I say about Ludo and Marie-Jo? Incredible people! A place where you can truly escape the everyday and unwind. The bread is simply amazing, keep it up! 🫶❤️❤️

20/05/2026: We received an impeccable welcome from a charming young woman at reception. The rooms are large, clean, and well soundproofed. The restaurant is equally impressive, served by our young and dedicated receptionist. The food is excellent and the staff delightful. The shaded terrace is simply magnificent, and the parking is very conveniently located. We highly recommend it.

10/05/2026: We organized a birthday weekend at this hotel and everything went extremely well from beginning to end. The accommodation was truly top-notch, the meals excellent, both in terms of quality and service. The staff were lovely, always attentive and very caring throughout our stay. The hotel is also very well located and the outdoor spaces are really pleasant, especially the terraces and the little relaxation area, perfect for unwinding in the evening. The entire team did everything possible to ensure our weekend was perfect, and it showed. A huge thank you to them; we highly recommend it!

28/09/2026: A delightful gourmet break! Spending four days in Sarlat, we were looking for a restaurant menu that differed from the others in this beautiful medieval town. Le Petit Saigon welcomed us warmly with flavorful, tangy, and spicy dishes. Kudos to this family business where the owners' passion shines through in every bite! 🙂 Best of luck to you, and perhaps we'll be back soon! 🙂

27/08/2026: We went to Bistrot des Vigiers after a morning at the spa. It was our first romantic meal together in a long time, without the children. We were celebrating our wedding in an intimate setting. Everything started very well. The aperitif and starter were excellent. For our main courses, we ordered the beef and the duck breast. After 45 minutes without being served, and seeing that everyone else was being served, and no longer having time to stay for another course (which would arrive who knows when, and we don't have unlimited childcare), we decided to leave and pay. The head waiter gave us an extremely poor reception, a hint of ego, and no apology whatsoever. He blamed us entirely for the significant delay: apparently, ordering medium-rare meat takes MUCH longer. This haughty gentleman didn't understand what we had to do other than wait to eat in his restaurant. What a disappointment for a restaurant located in such a 4-star hotel. We paid what we owed, he left with the bill, didn't say goodbye, offered no gesture of goodwill, and still no apology. We didn't expect to be treated like this. Our experience was ruined. We unfortunately won't be returning if we're ever in the area. It's a shame, the food looked very good.

17/09/2026: I ordered a small pho at this restaurant. The price was reasonable and the food was okay. However, if you’re not comfortable with the beef being quite raw, I wouldn’t recommend it, especially since the soup wasn’t hot enough to fully cook the beef.
