27/05/2026: Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Indeed, regarding the terrace, you have plenty of space, and generally, when a terrace is empty, it's never a good sign; we learned that the hard way! Passing through Brantôme, discovering a magnificent village whose history has forced it to defend itself, yet which has managed to retain all its splendor, we were met with a cold and very unpleasant welcome. Regarding the motorcycle helmets we had to put on the ground, a waitress nearing retirement (not a smile, as friendly as a prison guard) took our orders (for 10 people) and informed us that water was €0.20 per glass, not by the carafe. We ended up paying around €30 for coffees, Perrier with half a slice of lemon (which was charged), and soda. With such beautiful weather, we were quite thirsty! 😉
We only realized this when we went to pay at the counter, after the waitress had already collected part of the payment, that everyone would pay at the counter! With unfailing friendliness; and then, surprise!
Apparently, some drinks were missing that hadn't been paid for! Two coffees. With a manager as friendly as the English guards, we were easily insulted and disrespected, with a hint of rudeness!
Flee this establishment if you want to have a pleasant time, definitely not here! No hygiene standards whatsoever regarding the toilets, and the manager and waitress are as friendly and disrespectful as the characters in Money Heist! An establishment that thinks it's above the common folk and makes sure you know it! Shameful! I've never experienced this kind of behavior towards customers!
24/05/2026: I will never return with my biker friends. The welcome was poor; a glass of water cost 20 cents, and half a slice of lemon 🍋 also cost 20 cents – outrageous! We will not be back.

Le poisson est excellent et le magret est convenable.
Les desserts sont bons
C’est un bon établissement, un rapport qualité prix convenable et une grande gentillesse

We had a basket of delicious Italian bread as an aperitif 😋.
On the other hand, some dishes lack garnishes for the price, which is a shame...
Price of desserts also a little excessive 7.90 for a slice of tiramisu...
18/08/2024: Great cuisine, very warm welcome, very pleasant atmosphere and he is very available if you need.
You have to go there you won't be disappointed

25/10/2024: L'excellence à prix très correct. Ici on est dans la tradition, mais quel régal ! De la mise en bouche au dessert, les saveurs sont là, mention spéciale pour l'œuf cocotte aux champignons et le velouté de butternut (mise en bouche) dont la texture et le goût resteront gravés dans nos mémoires. On voulait revenir tellement ça nous avait plu, mais il n'y avait plus de place, pensez à réserver bien à l'avance car le restaurant n'est pas grand. Bravo au cuisinier et ausdi au serveur qui est d'une efficacité redoutable. Merci à toute l'équipe

Les tables ont de vraies nappes en tissus. C'est tellement rare que je trouve bon de le signaler.
Service de qualité et carte des vins très intéressante.
Les couverts en argent et la belle vaisselle vous mettent en appétit.
Cuisine et produits de grande qualité et en bonne quantité.
Le traditionnel a encore de l'avenir, n'en déplaise à certains.
Nous reviendrons!

19/11/2025: The restaurant, with its immense castle fireplace that warms the atmosphere, is sensational. The cuisine is made entirely with fresh, local produce that they sell at the Souillac market. The dishes are extremely generous and flavorful. There's nothing to criticize; the porcini mushroom sauce is addictive, and the strawberry sorbet and walnut ice cream are a delight. The best part is being able to take home a little bit of their exquisite products at the end of the meal by buying honey, walnut cake, rolled waffles, and so on. The place is very pleasant and peaceful, and the service is truly warm and welcoming. I recommend it to everyone, in any season, to enjoy the variety of seasonal products. A truly memorable address.
15/11/2025: We had lunch there one day; a hearty, locally sourced meal at a very good price. The service was pleasant and quick.
Be careful with children on the terrace, as it's close to the road.

12/09/2024: Lovely little pizza restaurant that caters for all. Superb pizza that tastes delicious. Service was a little rushed, this I think is due to its popularity and need to turn the tables around, food and cost is well worth it though.

29/08/2024: We sat down and asked for a table at 6.30pm but were told it was fully booked all evening despite being almost empty at that point and no reserved signs. We asked if we could just stay for a drink but they said only for 20 ‘
minutes..an hour later we were still finishing off our drinks and there were still most tables available. We asked again if we could stay to eat but were told no. The waiter was very brusque and impolite and it was clear that we were just not wanted, perhaps they only take booked reservations but we still felt it was very rude the way they spoke and dealt with us. As we passed there again about half an hour later the table we were at was still empty. Would not come again.

03/09/2024: Bonjour étant en vacances à Brantome nous nous sommes arrêtés dans ce restaurant pour le repas du soir, nous avons été accueillis agréablement bien le service au petit soin les plats sont délicieux et copieux. Si vous passez par Brantome je vous recommande ce restaurant sans hésiter vous ne serez pas déçu.

Et quel dommage cet accueil .. une succession de remarques sur un ton pas très cool . C est dommage avec un plus de sympathie nous serions revenus .

A warm welcome, a most pleasant place. And when the dishes arrive... real happiness in the mouth! And a very nice presentation. It's all there.
The service from start to finish with a smile, good humor reigns in the kitchens (you can feel it in the dishes)...

The reception is extremely friendly, helpful and willing to provide information.
We can look at the places that are still available and then let us know which one we have chosen.
The entire, relatively quiet place makes an excellent impression on me, like a large, well-kept botanical garden, is my first thought.
The pitches are firm and level, partly overgrown with grass, partly sandy, marked out by hedges, shaded by trees, and have electricity and water in the immediate vicinity.
Sanitary building A is modern, functional, spacious and very clean. All the necessary equipment is available in the toilets, as are sinks with soap and disinfectant.
The temperature in the showers and washrooms can be regulated, but the pressure cannot.
The extensive area includes, among other things, a pool area, several play areas for children with interesting play equipment, a tennis court and Kettcar rental, a soccer field..., a supermarket and a restaurant with an attractive menu.
The price-performance ratio is excellent, we paid €24.40 per night with an ACSI card for a motorhome, two people including electricity and WiFi.
01/09/2024: Super campsite with owners who have a passion for the profession and run the campsite with a lot of love. Beautifully landscaped large areas, flower gardens, a real bamboo forest and a fantastic swimming pool for the children. The camping restaurant is of excellent quality and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Plenty of entertainment for the children aged 7, 10, 11 and 15. The bands that came to play in the evenings were really fantastic with a top 2000 rehearsal director, something for everyone.
The area has plenty to offer to see or do.
All in all highly recommended
