23/08/2026: Lunch today, despite our late arrival and the fact that it was very busy, they welcomed us with smiles and good cheer and found us a table by the water in record time. The €35 set menu was varied and excellent, the prices very reasonable, and the service impeccable. Finally, something that's becoming rare: a smiling, young, and very professional team. So it was perfect and highly recommended. We'll be back. Thank you for this delightful experience.

21/08/2026: A very warm welcome from the pleasant servers. The wait was reasonable, giving us plenty of time to enjoy our meal. The portions were generous and delicious (I had the Périgord salad) and the choux pastry for dessert was crispy. I highly recommend this establishment, especially with its river view.

03/08/2026: CATASTROPHIC Endless wait for the table to be cleaned, same for being served, same for the restrooms, same for... paying... it can take forever!! In the middle of peak season, during a big fair in Issigeac... we ordered two very simple dishes: an omelet and a croque monsieur with a green salad: sorry, we're out of salad... can we substitute tomatoes? Oh, sorry, we're out of tomatoes! Who manages the supplies? Completely disorganized service because they're overwhelmed, canteen-style food, exorbitant prices: AVOID AT ALL COSTS (go to the next town, La Bastide, because the food options in Issigeac are frankly terrible).

01/08/2026: Just a nice little restaurant, the duck with fries and the salad with fried goat cheese were tasty, friendly service. It was extremely busy, so the wait was correspondingly long.

12/08/2026: Unbelievably rude. I simply asked for a table of 8 and the lady shouted ‘NO’ at me when there were loads of empty tables at 12:00. No explanation why, and despite understanding my English perfectly only responded to me in French when they could see I didn’t understand. Not to mention they shouted and spoke aggressively at me. It’s now 12:30 and no one has sat in any of the tables. I don’t think they were reserved I think they just didn’t want to serve 8 people?? We just wanted a quick lunch - nothing fancy. Don’t give them any business they don’t deserve it!

18/04/2026: We received a very warm welcome. The dishes offered were varied and frankly delicious. The service (provided by a young trainee) was quick and the plates were beautifully presented. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment for a wonderful meal that will leave a lasting impression.

19/11/2025: We went there on a Wednesday at lunchtime. We had a table on the terrace. It's a simple set menu, but homemade and very good. The place seems to be run by British people. A very warm welcome. The location is very pleasant, right in the center of the village with its white Dordogne stone houses. A great find! After several visits, the food is always just as good and hearty. You should also go for the British atmosphere on holidays and special events! Speaking English is a nice touch. We loved it!

12/06/2026: This caterer has changed owners, and I was absolutely delighted. The Bành Xéo was delicious, and it was a pleasure to pair it with an excellent Saigon Vietnamese beer. The new owners are warm and welcoming. You can tell they work with tremendous dedication, passion, and enjoyment to offer high-quality dishes. I highly recommend this place! A gem for Vietnamese food lovers. 🍜🍻

17/09/2025: A great place to stop for lunch after visiting the market. Between us, we had omelette, mussels, chicken and beef burgers, and we all enjoyed our meals. We sat in the barn, out the back. Prices are very good, about 16 Euros each without alcoholic drinks. Thoroughly recommended.

01/08/2026: Good, honest cup of traditional French coffee. The double espresso and café au lait were hot and good quality taste. We added a Fuze Tea and the bill was a reasonable €10.70 Nice location in the heart of Issigeac with plenty of tables and chairs outside. Friendly enough waiter. Clearly an establishment used by the locals so nice and traditional and good to support the community. Would recommend sticking with traditional French café rather than theme style. Bravo!!

28/07/2026: Very few options in Issigeac! But a hunch turned out to be the right choice! It doesn't look like much at first glance, and yet! A very warm welcome and attentive service! They're ready to cook when no one else in the village is serving! And a lovely, shaded terrace with a bit of a breeze 👍🏽 Simply a very pleasant experience! We recommend it 😉
