The waitstaff are incredibly kind, friendly, and always smiling—you can easily have a laugh with them. You feel right at home from the moment you arrive. 03/06/2026: The rooms are excellent, very comfortable and well maintained, and the surroundings are absolutely beautiful. What truly makes this hotel special, however, is the staff. They are incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely care about their guests. My father has stayed here three times, and each visit has been a great experience. This time, the staff went above and beyond. My father doesn’t speak English, and in the past I would communicate with the waiters on his behalf. To our surprise, during this visit they arranged a menu in Albanian. It was such a thoughtful gesture and showed a level of care and attention that truly impressed us. I am genuinely amazed by the service and hospitality. Thank you for making my father’s stay so comfortable. Highly recommended!

04/10/2026: O Moulin - Carssac Aillac - September 2026 What a pleasure to return to this establishment near the banks of the famous Dordogne River, which we frequented a few years ago... Once again, the tone is set from the very first bites. Cod fritters, local cheese croquettes, and beetroot and horseradish espuma. Taste, flavors, zest, creativity... nothing but good things to start. We eagerly await the rest of the meal. The starters: Borrèze trout and coleslaw, a very pretty and refined dish. We would have liked a slightly larger portion of trout. The other, escalope of foie gras, open ravioli with confit, and creamy coco beans, is a classic these days, but perfectly executed. As for the main courses: Pork loin, stuffed piquillo peppers and Basque garnish, chorizo ​​jus. Olé Olé! Duck breast, seasonal vegetables in a red wine sauce, and creamy porcini mushrooms... To finish: a marriage of dark chocolate and coconut. Original, fresh, and... excellent. Best of luck with your business.

We were told the kitchens were closed and that there were two "chef's choice" options left, the price of which we had to ask about. 19/09/2026: I'm revising my review because the experience during the tourist season is nothing like the off-season... 1: A discovery for us locals, who are disheartened by some local restaurants. The food is well-prepared, generous, and very good value for money. Almost like a bistro. There's a lot of care put into the dishes served. For locals who are tired of foie gras and other duck breasts, or ready-made meals from Metro, the menu offers some great options like Thai-style tuna, a sublime perfect egg, and fish! For duck lovers in all its forms, you'll be well catered for as well. A pleasant spot, with a terrace and air conditioning, 2: We returned in August with guests from our gîte, certain we would treat them… Total disappointment, and a bad image for our 5-star gîte: the portions were much smaller (half-portions), the presentation of the dishes was appalling, the service was catastrophic… no menu, no bread… mistakes with the drink orders, the staff were running around like crazy 🙈 We waited 20 minutes for a table even though we had a reservation, and above all, a huge disappointment with the dishes served, which had switched to "tourist" mode: same price but nothing on the plate! Nothing like what we had eaten before. A big disappointment then… for us and our guests! A good restaurant should be good all year round…. Another restaurant in Le Bugue and Les Eyzies that will be blacklisted…
