26/07/2026: What can I say? Simply EXCEPTIONAL!!! I'm an epicurean at heart, but this is on another level. The small village of Saint-Genies is renowned for its market. From 2017 to 2020 and then again in 2026, it was always just as authentic for its local produce. But then there's the Café du Château! An exceptional setting, a listed heritage site, a very warm welcome, and the menu: only exceptional products, completely unspoiled by industry! Pure bliss! And the owners of the place, which dates back to the 12th century (the building, not the owners 😜), welcome us as it should be. They have managed to make this place, for me, an absolute must-visit, thanks to their taste (for food and for the setting), their respect for history, and their humility!!! I could have given it 10/5 without any regrets... I've already visited quite a few establishments across France, but this is number ONE!!!!

30/07/2026: Full marks. We thoroughly enjoyed the gourmet menu with wine pairings. Service and cuisine were top-notch, with a comparatively excellent price-performance ratio. Highly recommended.

The foie gras escalope as a starter, the half pigeon as a main course, and the chocolate tartlet for dessert, not to mention the amuse-bouche, the petits fours, and the wine (an irresistible Maranges), everything was delicious. By far the best restaurant in Périgueux.

20/05/2026: We received an impeccable welcome from a charming young woman at reception. The rooms are large, clean, and well soundproofed. The restaurant is equally impressive, served by our young and dedicated receptionist. The food is excellent and the staff delightful. The shaded terrace is simply magnificent, and the parking is very conveniently located. We highly recommend it.

10/05/2026: We organized a birthday weekend at this hotel and everything went extremely well from beginning to end. The accommodation was truly top-notch, the meals excellent, both in terms of quality and service. The staff were lovely, always attentive and very caring throughout our stay. The hotel is also very well located and the outdoor spaces are really pleasant, especially the terraces and the little relaxation area, perfect for unwinding in the evening. The entire team did everything possible to ensure our weekend was perfect, and it showed. A huge thank you to them; we highly recommend it!

10/08/2026: We stopped at the Château de Hautefort and had lunch at the Auberge du Parc. The experience was particularly enjoyable, despite a slight staff shortage, as the service was impeccable. The food was excellent, and we would be delighted to return. We highly recommend this restaurant.

07/08/2026: A very good meal: fresh, high-quality ingredients. Excellent service: efficient, professional, and friendly. Air-conditioned dining room. Perhaps a little pricey, but real cuisine in a pleasant tourist area, so we have no regrets!

15/06/2026: Beautiful location. A summer's evening for this visit, dining on the terrace. Served by efficient, knowledgeable and courteous staff. A menu of well-cooked and beautifully presented french classics and delicious contemporary dishes. Well-chosen and reasonably priced wine list, too.

A warm welcome, impeccable service, beautifully presented dishes, everything was delicious, and the pizzas were divine, made with passion!
