The owner provides quick, friendly, and humorous service. Ample parking is available at the rear. A very pleasant stop that I highly recommend. Go there; you won't be disappointed.

05/07/2026: Well what an absolute gem of a find not to mention a rarity these days a Routier that’s open weekends the food is beautifully but rusticity prepared and served but the flavours are wonderful good red wine and a lovely friendly host Parking for 10-11 trucks well worth a visit guys n gals it’s places like this that make you appreciate the job we do Please support all Routier and let’s keep them going

25/08/2026: A pleasant surprise when choosing this unassuming restaurant! A warm welcome, simple yet tasteful decor, and a three-course meal (starter, main, and dessert) for €20. The starter was a very varied and high-quality buffet, the chicken with porcini and morel mushrooms was delicious, and the salted caramel cream was excellent. Plus, the owner and chef came to check on us to make sure everything was alright 🧑‍🍳 Highly recommended 🍽️

22/03/2026: Honestly, out of season, we were delighted to find a restaurant. It's expensive for a crepe, but oh well, the service was friendly nonetheless. Out of season, it's worth it!

23/08/2026: Excellent roast chicken 👌 A bit pricey, probably because of the quality, so not for those on a tight budget. You can't eat in on Sundays, so it's takeout only. There's even a vending machine next door when the rotisserie is closed.

16/08/2026: It's best to make a reservation as it's often busy. The place is lovely, the owner is great, and the food is good. It's also a great spot for a drink on the terrace. I go there from time to time and it's always a good experience.

03/09/2026: Today, my wife and I wanted to eat at 1:15 pm. The owner was overwhelmed, even though there were 12 people at the table. She gave us a very poor welcome, very agitated and almost aggressive. Her way of speaking to people was very unpleasant, so we left. I can't rate the service because we didn't have the chance. The menu looked very good... It's a shame to see that this restaurant owner doesn't care about earning an extra 80 euros.

01/05/2026: At the gateway to the Périgord Noir region, and surrounded by many (very) beautiful sights to see and visit, the location is already a major advantage! Add to that a team that is attentive, friendly, and always ready to help, and a restaurant that complements your visits with a selection of expertly prepared local products… your stay has everything to be perfect! The indoor heated swimming pool is a welcome bonus after a busy day! Our children, Mathias and Laura, and we ourselves have the spirit of this place etched in our memories! We hope to return with another little one :) All the best and thank you again for this wonderful stay!

20/07/2026: There are restaurants that don't try to impress. They prefer to tell a story, the story of a region, a season, and a chef who takes the time to do things right. Chez Bonnebouche belongs to this group. Here, everything seems guided by the ingredients. The menu follows the rhythm of the seasons, everything is homemade, and this is evident in every dish. The cooking, especially of the fish, is remarkably precise: delicate, delicate, never showy. You immediately sense the hand of a passionate chef, more concerned with revealing flavors than masking them. And when autumn arrives, it's pure bliss. The slow-cooked dishes become culinary masterpieces: meltingly tender veal cheek, slow-cooked wild boar... Comforting, rich dishes that make you want to mop up every last drop. A sincere restaurant, demanding without being pretentious, where you return with the same pleasure each season. A true gem.

10/08/2026: A super friendly welcome from the owner/chef... who gave excellent wine recommendations, especially since it was market day... and the tapas menu was enticing. I tried the beef and zucchini carpaccio, and I have to say, with this heat, it was a real treat to eat it cold. It was so delicious that I ordered a second helping! I highly recommend it! Go for it! Plus, when young people embark on the challenging restaurant business, we should encourage them! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

04/08/2026: Wow! What a wonderful discovery La Halle Paysanne in Carlux was! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by smiling and welcoming waitresses, even without a reservation. The setting is superb, and the €29 set menu is simply exquisite: generous, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. In short, top-notch! You can go there without hesitation. Bravo to the entire front-of-house team and the chef in the kitchen!
