06/04/2026: "We're going to eat at Aunt Isabelle's": it's not a restaurant, it's... a real family home, with home cooking like in the old days. Warmth and genuine hospitality, no frills (especially not for pretentious types), real homemade foie gras, homemade duck confit, and homemade desserts... Everything is unpretentious and you leave with a full stomach of simple, delicious food. You sit down on the chairs among the daisies to digest... after a little sip of "44" (a local beer). It's at Aunt Isabelle's! 👍

The dinner was convivial and enjoyable, the room spotless and very comfortable, and the breakfast plentiful and delicious. 13/03/2026: A super cozy eatery, just the way the Dutch and the Angels live it. On the edge of the Dordogne (hence these influences) and run entirely by the French. Excellent food, generous portions, and you are served excellently here with a friendly word. Highly recommended.

31/03/2026: Too noisy! While this property is located at the end of a small road, in a very quiet setting, the rooms are so poorly soundproofed that we couldn't sleep a wink. We could hear the neighbors talking to each other, people using the toilet at 3 a.m., and the toilets flushing, not to mention the snoring. The reception area should raise a red flag, given the sheer number of warnings displayed. Here, the customer isn't king, and they make sure you know it. If you arrive early, just keep walking. Reception opens at 4 p.m., not 3:55 p.m.! Breakfast, unless you absolutely must have it, is very expensive at €13 for what's offered: defrosted bread, dry sliced ​​bread, four jars of jam, three of which were identical (same flavor), dry mini pastries, and ham wrapped in cellophane. If we weren't in the Périgord Noir region, I'd understand, but still... Disappointment. As for the restaurant, we walked right past it because the menu was so unappealing: pizzas!!! In short, we won't be going back.

20/04/2026: The hotel was very pleasant; the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were welcoming. We had a good stay, and the establishment is really nice. However, the €14 breakfast was rather disappointing for the price: the selection was limited, and the quality didn't really match the price. This was the only negative point of our stay. Despite this, the hotel remains a good choice.

I ordered a warm goat cheese salad which was supposed to contain walnuts, but after looking carefully, it turned out there weren't any (not even a hint). After my husband misunderstood our order, we were served the correct dish a few minutes later, but it contained salad, which wasn't supposed to be there. In short, the setting is very nice, but the restaurant's service is disappointing. Sincerely,
