21/08/2026: A truly beautiful establishment that generally lives up to its reputation! The cuisine is of very high quality, featuring local dishes and products (foie gras, duck breast, duck confit, cassoulet, walnut cake, ratafia, walnut wine, etc.). The icing on the cake was the wonderful surprise at the end of the meal and the visit to the small cave within the restaurant. Why "generally"? Because the waiter, despite his undeniable skill and great efficiency, is perhaps a little too much so. Everyone understands that with the crowds, they have to be quick to avoid frustrating potential customers waiting their turn, but they should be careful not to be too quick. A waiter can certainly be efficient in their actions, but they shouldn't display it so much in their speech, with a rapid-fire delivery that gives the impression of wanting to rush customers, even though I suspect that's not his intention, despite him acknowledging that the meal should be completed in 40 minutes. In summary, a magnificent establishment in the historic heart of the city of Sarlat with very high quality cuisine, true to its fine reputation and which we obviously recommend.

24/08/2026: I came to check out this place on Saturday, great atmosphere, the food was really very good. The Périgord-Thai fusion was pretty good, very high-quality ingredients, I'll never forget the jellyfish shots lol... The owner is really professional and welcoming. A really great place in Mussidan!!!

10/09/2026: We had a wonderful à la carte meal here. Everything was deliciously fresh and flavorful. The cheese, dessert, and bread were also amazing. But above all, we really appreciated the very friendly service. And on the square with that view... highly recommended!

27/08/2026: Best experience in the area so far. Small, quiet, car-free square with a shaded table. Five-star service with smiles and attentive to our babies. The meal was delicious, and they even included a set menu on the bill to lower the total. Honestly, a remarkable experience. I hope to return before we leave. All the best!

27/08/2026: Disappointed, a second time… This is the only pizzeria in our area, so we decided to give it another chance. About two months ago, we ordered seven pizzas to take away and were already quite disappointed: the crust was extremely thin and crumbly, and the calzone was so thin it was practically flat. We thought it might have been a one-off mistake and decided to try again… unfortunately, the same result. The pizzas are indeed adequately topped in the center, but the crust is far too thin. Once you get to the edges, there's practically nothing left but very thin, crumbly dough that falls apart easily. Because the toppings are concentrated in the center, the last few centimeters of pizza end up being quite dry and difficult to eat. We completely understand that a thin crust can be a good choice, but here, in our opinion, it's really too thin and, above all, lacks structure. It's a shame, because the filling is quite generous, but the pastry unfortunately ruins the whole experience. The setting is pleasant and the staff welcoming, which makes the experience enjoyable at first. However, we hope that more attention can be paid to the pastry, as this was the main factor influencing our overall impression. After two attempts with the exact same problem, we probably won't try it a third time.

14/08/2026: The Auberge du Moustier: absolutely not to be missed! Simply put, everything is perfect! The welcome, of course, from Madame Rodriguez, is incredibly warm and welcoming, not to mention her perfect knowledge of wines. The cuisine, prepared by Monsieur Rodriguez, is exquisitely precise, flavorful, and bursting with taste and color. I go beyond simply recommending it; it's a must-visit for local food lovers and those just passing through.

19/05/2026: Wow what a find. Being early diners in France is not an easy thing but we wandered into this beautiful little restaurant. We honed in on the 3 course menu for 29€ and made our choices. Service was exemplary and we thoroughly enjoyed each dish. I had a petit salad with chicken intestines which I have to say was one of the most delicious dishes I've tasted for awhile. The fillet of fish with a beautiful vegetable sauce was also just as delicious. I finished off with the traditional dessert and was completely satisfied by the end. I would highly recommend this restaurant for its food, service and atmosphere.

In addition to the delicious Périgord cuisine, the service is impeccable 👌🏼 I recommend the meats, which are carefully selected by the chef and are of exceptional quality. The setting is superb, the room comfortable (good bedding), the breakfast plentiful and varied, the half-board excellent (different dishes are offered every day, all very good and generous; the price of half-board is very reasonable considering the quantity and quality). And the staff are very pleasant. A fond memory of the Dordogne.

22/08/2026: Beautiful setting, but poor soundproofing The location is very pleasant, nestled in lush greenery, ideal for unwinding. The rooms are a bit dated, but perfectly clean. The major drawback is the noise level: the soundproofing is poor, doors slam constantly, and the air conditioning is very noisy. Absolutely avoid the rooms at the top of the stairs, unless you want to endure constant noise between 7 and 9 a.m. As for meals, breakfast is very basic (industrial pastries, average cold cuts). However, the hotel restaurant more than makes up for this by offering high-quality gourmet dishes. A place with a superb setting and excellent cuisine, but marred by the noise.

21/08/2026: We called to make a reservation, but when we arrived our table wasn't ready. We ordered an aperitif and wanted a charcuterie board, but the waiter told us there would be a long wait because he had to serve the people who arrived before us. So, we forgot about the charcuterie board. The service was slow. It's a shame because the waiters were very friendly and the food was generous.

19/07/2026: A quick stop at the snack bar on our holiday road trip. Friendly welcome. The lady was very smiley and pleasant. The burger was delicious with an exceptionally crispy bun that wasn't too dry. I recommend this little place.

17/07/2026: A wonderful discovery! Palmyre Soleil de l'Amazonie is the perfect place for a family lunch. The large garden is a real bonus: children can play safely on the trampoline, with a ball, in the playhouse, and even use the bicycles provided, while parents relax and enjoy a meal or a drink in the sun. The service is excellent and the welcome particularly warm. The manager, originally from the Dominican Republic, greeted us with a big smile and great kindness. A fantastic place that we highly recommend to families!

21/08/2026: My son had the opportunity to take his first introductory fishing lesson with Kevin a few days ago, as part of activities organized by the region. It was a wonderful opportunity for us. We learned a lot. My only regret is not being able to come back for private lessons because we're not from the area at all and there's no guarantee we'll be back anytime soon.
