24/06/2026: A fantastic restaurant we stumbled upon during our stroll through Bergerac. We thoroughly enjoyed the pig's trotters, a truly tender cut of beef. Impeccable welcome and service. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

19/05/2026: Wow what a find. Being early diners in France is not an easy thing but we wandered into this beautiful little restaurant. We honed in on the 3 course menu for 29€ and made our choices. Service was exemplary and we thoroughly enjoyed each dish. I had a petit salad with chicken intestines which I have to say was one of the most delicious dishes I've tasted for awhile. The fillet of fish with a beautiful vegetable sauce was also just as delicious. I finished off with the traditional dessert and was completely satisfied by the end. I would highly recommend this restaurant for its food, service and atmosphere.

17/06/2026: Located in the square at the foot of the church, Le Petit Bonheur is well situated. We enjoyed our meal. We were less impressed by the service, which was otherwise excellent, as the young waitress was too timid and didn't interact with the customers, creating a rather impersonal atmosphere. The portions were generous, the service was smooth, and the complimentary garlic soup was a nice touch. However, the prices were rather high. The presence of a drunk or drugged individual who disrupted the pleasant atmosphere by interrupting conversations was unpleasant.

I don't know about the rooms in this review, but from Paris, one can't help but wonder about the quality of French cuisine served in the capital... The outdoor setting was magnificent; we were protected from wasps attracted by the sweetness and delicious aromas. The Périgord quality, traditional to this region, should be a French example. I remember the amuse-bouches being exceptional, the foie gras delicious, and the main course delicious and generous, especially since we had a "surprise" apricot tart... I would go back every year if I could. I plan to return this year, alone or with friends... we'll see. But the Dordogne is the pinnacle of French gastronomy, and it's home-style cooking. The cuisine is rich, complete, nutritious, and delicious. Thank you for this memory, which is making me want to eat "home-style" food even from Paris. Gabriel
