My only slight complaint is that I found the €3 vegetable supplement rather expensive, especially since I hadn't ordered the salad that was initially offered. But that's just a minor point, as the value for money is more than positive. An experience to repeat! 😁 Adding to my previous comment... An experience I repeat regularly, by the way. I also want to give a big thumbs up to the staff and the owner!

28/02/2026: February 27th was our first time there, and we didn't know what to expect. We had a wonderful evening, and I highly recommend it. The staff is very friendly, which makes up for any imperfections. However, the drinks menu, in my opinion, needs a complete overhaul (the beers, wines, and cocktails—nothing appealed to me).

The dishes are well-prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented, using high-quality ingredients that come through in the flavors. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a pleasant dinner or a get-together with friends. The service is attentive and efficient, even when the restaurant is busy. Overall, I'm very happy with my visits and it's a reliable place I'd gladly return to.

07/02/2026: From the moment we arrived until the end of the meal, everything was perfect. The flavors were all there, from the appetizer to the dessert... I thoroughly enjoyed it. The chef came to greet his guests. The staff was very pleasant, without being intrusive. I highly recommend QUAI 38.

31/01/2026: Average experience at Le Crocodile! Simple but effective main course and unlimited dessert, certainly, but lacking in flavor. Friendly and lively atmosphere. The price-quality ratio is there at €26 for unlimited drinks, main course, and dessert. Recommended if you want quick service and if you eat a lot!

12/02/2026: This was the first place we dined at in Lille, and the experience did not disappoint. It’s a small place, but we found a table straight away. The service was good, and the food was quite delicious. The menu felt a bit repetitive for my taste, but we tried a couple of very nicely presented dishes that reminded us of things we had eaten before, yet pleasantly surprised us with new notes of local flavors. Easy to chat, and the coffee was good.

06/02/2026: Another great find in Lille. Beautifully decorated, great atmosphere, super welcome and… the best cinnamon roll I've ever had! The drink selection was very nice and we appreciated having plant-based alternatives to milk.

The email I received in response to my reservation asks me to choose another time slot…brilliant communication…for a restaurant like this, it's shameful. I will be sure to spread the word!

03/02/2026: A truly wonderful experience, exquisitely refined dishes and impeccable service in a cozy atmosphere. A minor drawback: the starter arrived before we had finished our aperitif, and the dessert was slightly less impressive than the excellent main courses served beforehand. Highly recommended.
