14/06/2026: I came to eat with a group of friends on Saturday evening; it was my first time, and I wasn't disappointed at all! From the food and service to the atmosphere and the location, it was a lovely restaurant 😍 I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, and I'll definitely be back!

14/05/2026: We went to celebrate our grandmother's 92nd birthday. It was a wonderful time; there were 19 of us, and everything went perfectly, from the aperitifs to the coffee. The food and desserts were delicious. The welcome was perfect. I highly recommend it!

16/06/2026: We went with my mother for lunch for Mother's Day. We received a warm welcome. The staff were very attentive, efficient, and offered helpful advice. The meal was excellent and of high quality. I immigrated to the Paris region where it's rare to find welcoming people in restaurants... At L'Enfant du Pays, I felt the kindness of the miners' families... my childhood. Thank you to the owners.

02/06/2026: While on vacation, the very friendly waiters let us sit down for a drink around 3 pm. That was very kind, thank you! My husband ordered a "café bon plan" (special offer coffee), which had a really nice presentation. I can't consume lactose, so I had a beer instead. But just looking at it, I really love the texture of the pastry in the "café bon plan," it looks so soft! The view is breathtaking. The only thing that could be improved is the very basic restrooms. Everything else is perfect!

28/05/2026: We visited for both lunch (11:45am-6pm) and dinner (6:45pm-9pm) and found a very motivated team, excellent and substantial food, and very good drinks. The value for money is absolutely right; we had the full dinner package (aperitif, bottle of wine and water, cocktail) and it cost €50 per person.

20/05/2026: More than just a meal, it's an experience. Everything is perfect: the dishes are delicious, original, and beautifully presented. Everything is homemade with local ingredients, and it's truly a triumph. The service is very pleasant, and the chef is very friendly. The decor is also lovely! A place to try without hesitation, and one we'll definitely be returning to!

23/05/2026: A very pleasant stay; the staff were responsive and friendly. The restaurant menus are excellent and very good value for money. The inn is in a lovely setting with a pretty park. The rooms are simple but comfortable; it's best to choose a room upstairs.

19/05/2026: A horrible, not to mention traumatic, experience. We had planned our wedding there. The first meeting was absolutely perfect. After paying the deposit, the second meeting involved an unpleasant and racist staff member. We had to cancel the wedding. Avoid at all costs.

14/06/2026: A very pretty setting with its superb glass roof. The menu is very short (3 starters, main courses, and desserts) – which I personally appreciate. The dishes were excellent (the desserts were just a touch too sweet). The service was very good and quick. A great place.

31/01/2026: We came as a group of eight for the first time. Karim gave us a fantastic welcome. Great atmosphere and the best couscous I've ever had! We'll be back.

15/05/2026: We spent two days at this hotel. The staff were very welcoming, smiling, and pleasant. We had a good buffet breakfast with plenty of choice, and the night porter was very friendly. We had lunch with a sea view. For dinner, we ate at the restaurant downstairs, which had a lovely setting with excellent food and a wide variety of choices. We would definitely return.

10/05/2026: Very nice, clean hotel. The rooms are large and well-equipped... Close to the sea and the city center... We'll definitely come back... The food in the restaurant was world-class two years ago... Unfortunately, not this time 😞.

11/04/2026: Passing through during our motorcycle tour, we were pleasantly surprised by this little bistro in the heart of the countryside. What a delight to see kidneys on the menu, and they were delicious too! The menu is simple yet tasty, and the value for money is excellent. This place is well worth a visit and worth venturing outside the center of Bruay.

30/05/2026: I stopped by here during my pilgrimage along the Via Francigena. You can get a stamp here. The beer they recommended, La Licquoise, is apparently a craft beer from the neighboring town of Licques. It had a lovely aroma and rich flavor; it was delicious.

02/04/2026: I didn't understand the French Menu (normally I do) - I said I didn;t but there wasn't one person in the restaurant who offerered a word of English, despite my poor French attempts at asking of details of the food. Ended up with some non-descript white fish covered in foam, which seems to be the presentation du jour but offers no additional/complimentary flavour and just hides what lies beneath. Which in this case was what tasted like uncooked black rice and the outer shells of brussel sprouts which if that whisp of vegetation is all they can offer with a dish, means that I'm out of step with noveau French cuising from a 3* Michelin Chef. I'm sorry, the HULK of bread offered to compensate for lack of vegetables, did not impress and the juxtoposition of a hipster (glassware made of recycled wine bottles) joint, within a generic Best Western Hotel... No. Sorry, this was not a hit. Very disappointing.

02/05/2026: We wanted to thank all the staff. We celebrated my grandmother's 90th birthday there, and everything was perfect. The food was excellent, the service was great, and the setting was lovely.
