However, when we arrived, we were only able to get a meal from the chip shop menu. Nevertheless, the service was good, the portions were quite generous, and the price was reasonable.

02/04/2026: I didn't understand the French Menu (normally I do) - I said I didn;t but there wasn't one person in the restaurant who offerered a word of English, despite my poor French attempts at asking of details of the food. Ended up with some non-descript white fish covered in foam, which seems to be the presentation du jour but offers no additional/complimentary flavour and just hides what lies beneath. Which in this case was what tasted like uncooked black rice and the outer shells of brussel sprouts which if that whisp of vegetation is all they can offer with a dish, means that I'm out of step with noveau French cuising from a 3* Michelin Chef. I'm sorry, the HULK of bread offered to compensate for lack of vegetables, did not impress and the juxtoposition of a hipster (glassware made of recycled wine bottles) joint, within a generic Best Western Hotel... No. Sorry, this was not a hit. Very disappointing.

06/05/2026: We arrived as a group of four, including one person in a wheelchair and another who is visually impaired. We received a warm welcome and were helped to get seated. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I personally loved the salmon with Maroilles cheese. The desserts were generous and delicious. A welcoming place, and we will definitely return if the opportunity arises.

11/05/2026: For a first experience, it really wasn't the right day! The cook and waitress were replaced at the last minute, and unfortunately, the quality suffered. The bottle of Sancerre was brought to the table already open; the salmon, while good quality, was roughly sliced ​​without having been trimmed beforehand; the side salad and cherry tomatoes were wilted; the lemon slices were covered in mold... The ribeye steak, ordered rare, very rare indeed, was served well-done; the meat was crispy, and the fries looked like they'd been cooked two or three different times... To be honest, I informed the otherwise very friendly owner, who acknowledged the dissatisfaction of his staff. I am giving you the exact feedback I gave him verbally and hope that this bad experience will not be repeated!

01/02/2026: For a first visit, we weren't disappointed. The food was excellent; the scallops on smoked cauliflower cream were superb! The service was a little slow, but it was very busy. We recommend it.
