14/06/2026: Seaside brasserie. The waitress was very pleasant and always smiling; she even sang "Happy Birthday" to my mother (a very thoughtful gesture that we will remember fondly). The meal was generous and excellent. We will definitely return. A wonderful discovery! Thank you 😉

08/05/2026: Review hôtel Wimereux I barely knew anything about this hotel when I booked it. Its very hard to find a room for a 3 person family. Inwas just happy to have found somewhere affordable we could spend the night before heading to Ireland. It turned out to be brilliant. It’s in the mainstreet of the centre of a little seaside/river side town. 7 minute walk from the beach and boulevard. We had a clean adorable 4 bed apartment. Our daughter had her own room. The staff were old school. Extremely helpful, caring, friendly, patient and polite. The restaurant serves fresh well prepared food (surf and turf) and the desserts are to die for. The music in de restaurant and hotel is pleasantly eclectic and at a non-intrusive volume. The restaurant has some lovely old features and apparently stems from 1848 . We wanted to sit in the beautiful garden terras to eat our puds and the lovely staff immediately followed us to make sure we were comfortable with blankets and a fire. The staff here are incredibly alert and acute. I’m disgustingly particular about hotel and restaurant service, because I’ve worked extensively in hospitality. It can make or break the experience. A hotel can be made of gold, but if the staff don’t care enough about hospitality it might as well be a dump. Not so in this case, they were amazing. The hotel is old and in need of some cosmetic repairs but they’ve kept some of the old furnishings. The mozaïk floor is original and the restaurant lamps are too. The mattrasses were great, blankets warm and enough extra stuff, pillows were a bit flat and hard, the ONLY minus! There is an elevator! Everything was very clean and the cleaning fluids used pleasantly scented. Definitely recommended for anyone, any age almost any family group.

05/06/2026: I went to eat at this restaurant on a Friday evening with my wife, and I don't understand the positive reviews about the food. How can you mess up a classic like moules frites? The moules marinières with white wine were bland—we're still looking for the white wine—and the worst part was the fries! They looked homemade but had no taste whatsoever. Perhaps there was a problem with the cooking. They were served on a small dessert plate? We would have appreciated a few slices of fresh bread. Only the service was friendly, but that wasn't enough for us.

17/02/2026: A very warm welcome for my daughter and me. We were in a hurry and it was late for lunch. We ate very well, the setting is bright, white with a few vibrant pops of color. A very pleasant experience, we will be back.

15/02/2026: What can I say... Passion, conviction, value, and a real treat. Vincent in the dining room and Stéphane in the kitchen go above and beyond to offer quality products at very reasonable prices, along with attentive and meticulous service. This place is filled with good vibes and kindness. A must-visit whenever I'm in Arras! Thank you for being there 🙏🏻

19/06/2026: Incredible affordable food in the city center. You can reserve in the fork, but we went at 2 on Friday and we got a table. Everything is delicious, the tartare is amazing. big dishes, great size for cost. Highlights: the fondue Au miel (greatttt starter) and the desserts. The creme Brule is divine and the creme de chocolat is the best I ever had!

16/06/2026: The restaurant is budget friendly. Food is ok given the price. But if you look for good/a bit higher quality food, maybe this place is not for you. One thing is that the waitress will charge optional service fee about 10%+ on the credit card machine and ask you if you would like to pay or not which make you feel pressured to pay. The service fee is not written on the bill. And I am not sure if this is the norm for restaurants in Paris? It makes me confused. I would prefer the restaurant to increase the price to reflect the true price rather than such optional service charge and the awkward moment. Just for anyone’s information, the restaurant seems to have an explicit rule that each person has to order one main dish. I would order one for each person but just didn’t hear the same thing from other restaurants in Paris.

25/05/2026: I don't recall ever seeing an owner so attentive to her customers, always eager to please. She was able to accommodate my gluten intolerance, a testament to her professionalism. The traditional cuisine was excellent.

24/05/2026: Hello everyone, I have mixed feelings about my first experience at this restaurant. My brother and I usually go to La Ferme Gourmande, but it was full, and for good reason... In comparison, I'd say the aperitif didn't come with any appetizers, the main course was just okay, and the fries were cooked unevenly. I won't be going back.

04/05/2026: Ate here last night on my own - travelling in the area . Food was excellent. Carbonara - but was one of the best I’ve had in a long time . Large portion so couldn’t finish it. Very friendly owner / staff .

31/05/2026: We'd been wanting to try it for a while, and we finally did today. What can I say except that the welcome was incredibly warm and friendly? Both the owner and the waitress were very kind, smiling, and welcoming. The food was delicious! We ordered the small steak frites, and we each had two butcher's cuts and tripe—everything was fantastic! The tripe was exceptional. The desserts were also delicious, and all at an unbeatable price. We highly recommend this bistro.

30/04/2026: Passing by on a Wednesday at lunchtime, I had a superb discovery: excellent cuisine made with top-quality ingredients, all served by a smiling and attentive waitress. In short, avoid the big restaurant chains because there are little gems like La Charrue in the villages 😉
