15/09/2024: Très décevant : le rapport qualité &prix est loin de la moyenne. Truffade en quantité très limitée, poisson juste chaud, fromage sans pain... sans parler du manque d'amabilite de la serveuse... Nous étions 5 adultes et 3 enfants et avons laissé 300€..... Le seul point fort est le service des menus enfants très rapide.

08/01/2026: A very disappointing experience at Auberge du Piory (Joserand). Upon our arrival, while it was snowing and freezing outside, the waitress made inappropriate remarks, offering a cold welcome and an irritated, disillusioned attitude. When I asked for the menu, I was told there was only one set menu, without the waitress being able to explain what it consisted of. The most shocking incident was a hygiene-related one: a customer entered with a dog that urinated right next to me. The waitress downplayed the situation, saying "it wasn't a big deal," and the urine was left on the floor, in the middle of a walkway. Several people stepped in it, and it was spread all the way to the kitchen. Between the lack of professionalism, the unpleasant welcome, and the clearly inadequate hygiene, this was a very bad experience. I will not be returning.

19/11/2025: I discovered this little inn, with its magnificent and very generous family menu. Two truly unique starters, followed by a main course, cheese, and dessert. I visit this unusual place once a month. I booked a weekend for a friend's surprise birthday party—the frog legs and fried food were fantastic! Thank you to the management.

06/12/2025: A 15-minute wait, and probably longer, only to be told "it's normal, we have orders," with no apology. No need to be pleasant to customers... there's a queue ahead.

03/09/2024: The rooms. First choose carefully. If you want a view with a balcony ask for one that faces to the back not one facing the front car park. Book many months in advance as the hotel is very popular and fully booked in August! It is one of the nicest in the area. We had room 6 (as a post booking requested upgrade from a window only room if a balcony room became available). The view was over the front and car park. When sitting on the balcony it was ok with 50% scenery the rest the dining room roof.

29/08/2024: Adorable and welcoming staff, in a truly sublime, natural and soothing setting. A very gourmet restaurant and quality cuisine. The rooms are simple, pleasant and clean, well soundproofed and with a nice view (depending on the room I imagine).

03/09/2024: Go on your way... Passing through the region one Sunday we stopped to eat in this pretty place which has a beautiful terrace. The Sunday menu was a very expensive obligatory buffet at €32 per person. We were very disappointed by the quality of the dishes served, all very mediocre, such as the Flemish carbonnade which had a burnt taste, probably from being reheated. The desserts seemed tasteless to us. The dishes are all mismatched. Only the beer was good. The staff, however, are very friendly.

24/10/2025: Very warm welcome, the meal was excellent, nothing to complain about, very good, top-notch, would definitely do it again Aperitif with truffade, wine, 1 dessert, 2 coffees €60, nothing to complain about

20/10/2025: It's an ideal place for lunch with friends or family. A friendly welcome, warm dining room decor. We chose to share some obviously homemade accras, which were truly delicious. The confit lamb shanks were very good (the sweetbreads, okay, in a cream sauce, perhaps too 'reheated'). Simple dessert, and very good French toast. The owner comes out of her kitchen to greet her loyal customers; she makes you feel at home. We had a wonderful time. Note: the frogs must be ordered beforehand. We'll be back.

28/07/2025: Really very disappointed. It's not the driver, but the thief. The tall, dark gentleman's kindness needs to be improved. Be sure to arrive around 12 p.m. to pay by meal voucher card, otherwise you can only pay in cash. I doubt there's any tax evasion.

04/07/2025: Very friendly staff, reasonable prices. My burger was good, but the fries... I don't think it was the potatoes used for fries or the wrong brand, because this was one of the rare times I've found bad fries. Mixed reviews of the restaurant.

18/08/2024: The Brittany - Auvergne marriage works pretty well! The pancakes are very good and the service pleasant, and this view is magnificent.

18/08/2024: The savory pancakes were good although I would have appreciated more filling in the pancakes to benefit from a dish more suited to my desires. For the sweet crepes, we took the apricot crepe of the moment, it lacked caramel for my taste and the apricots were slightly dry… About the room, the service was very good. The toilets could do with cleaning as there were large cobwebs. From the outdoor terrace, the view of Volvic and the small massifs is unmissable. Eating out in the evening at this place is a haven of
