16/03/2026: A uniquely decorated establishment. We've always been warmly welcomed, even with a dog and a stroller. We've come for dinner and drinks in the afternoon. The waiters/waitresses are very friendly and efficient.

02/03/2026: I came to eat here yesterday and I don't regret it. The food was excellent and delicious. The roasted Saint-Nectaire cheese was divine. The service was quick, efficient, and friendly. If you're passing through Ambert around lunchtime, don't hesitate to stop by. Reservations are recommended.

27/11/2025: We had a lovely stay at this inn on the Loue River, located in a small medieval village. This tastefully decorated inn offers a relaxed, family atmosphere in a peaceful, natural setting. We were also delighted by the generous portions of local cuisine made with quality ingredients. The truffade and the cornet de Murat were excellent.

11/11/2025: Hello, We tried the restaurant for a family meal. The dishes were very tasty, beautifully presented, and welcoming. I personally loved the braised foie gras with its mushroom sauce, as well as the excellent sweetbreads, thank you! 🌞 The service was attentive and friendly. We would gladly return.

22/02/2026: Don't be put off by the storefront if you're hesitating, because the value for money you'll find inside is unbeatable. Perhaps we just caught them on a lucky day, but a starter, main course, cheese, and dessert for under €20 for such well-prepared, homemade food (spring rolls with scallops and crayfish, sweetbread puff pastries, a cheese platter, and four homemade desserts to choose from) is a rare find! They also offer a daily set menu, a children's menu (with two real butcher's sausages, not industrial chipolatas or nuggets...), and three à la carte dishes, including a truffade that's among the best in the region. I'm rarely enthusiastic about restaurants, but it would be a shame to miss out on this place because of an uninviting exterior.

23/12/2025: This is my account, Sir Ludovic de Téléton, a lord neither cowardly nor benign. On my journey through the mountains and mists of Auvergne, I stopped here at the Druids' Lair, a place draped in ancient strength and strict discipline. There I was served sausages tied with esparto grass, covered in a bold and frank mustard sauce, which does not flatter the palate of the weak. Now, I am a man of great exacting standards, and I do not trust appearances: I summoned the household staff, questioned them one by one about the order of the dishes, the cleanliness of the hearths, and the uprightness of their practices. I found no fault there, only knowledge, decorum, and honor. Know that whoever reads these words knows that here the establishment is rightly guarded, and that the host, without trembling, withstands the ordeal of a lord who is not merciful. I bear witness to this, on my faith and my name.

25/02/2026: We were surprised by the set menu, as we had seen much more extensive menus online. We realized this was under the previous management. We did enjoy a single, delicious dish. The service was very fast; our plates arrived almost as soon as we ordered. The staff and atmosphere were friendly. They just need to improve accessibility for people with reduced mobility in the restrooms.

07/03/2026: Hello Le Zinc I've been a loyal customer of Le Zinc for many years. I'm used to coming here regularly, either for business or pleasure, always with company. Sometimes during the week, sometimes on weekends. I've decided, I'm going to try other restaurants in Riom from now on, because the bills are becoming unbearable. Just look at this: for a weekday lunch, without aperitifs or drinks (only tap water), we paid almost €100!!! Do the math: over €30 per person for a weekday lunch, for one main course and dessert! The worst part was seeing the price of the desserts: €9.50 each!!! I can't fathom these prices in an establishment of this "standard." Sure, the interior is nice and the portions are generous, but it's certainly not a bistro! We'll now be going to other excellent restaurants in Riom (and I'm not talking about establishments in the same area as yours), where the cuisine is often more refined... and the bill less steep! For your information

03/03/2026: A great menu with many regional dishes. Be warned, the portions are generous. The truffade was excellent. Very convenient too, right next to the motorway exit, so a quick and easy stop.
