30/06/2026: What a pleasure it was to stay at the Auberge des Montauds! We received a warm, welcoming, and friendly reception that immediately made us feel at home. Located above Villard-de-Lans, the inn offers a peaceful setting in the heart of nature. If you're looking for tranquility, greenery, and a real breath of fresh air, you'll be delighted. It's also a little paradise for motorcyclists. Our room, while modest in size, was very comfortable and perfectly suited to our stay. We also greatly appreciated the shaded terrace, ideal for enjoying the excellent half-board meals, which were generous and carefully prepared. Breakfast was equally delicious, varied, and plentiful—the perfect way to start the day. A big thank you to the entire team for their kindness and hospitality. 30/06/2026: What a great find! Passing through at the end of my motorcycle road trip, I truly enjoyed everything here. The location, quite secluded in Bois Barbu, is peaceful and perfect for relaxing. I love the layout of both the grounds and the inn itself. My room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The comfort is definitely appreciated. The half-board meals are home-cooked, prepared with quality ingredients. The dishes are appetizing and delicious. A garage is available for bicycles and motorcycles, which is a nice touch. A place to definitely remember in the area!

26/08/2026: An incredible restaurant! The staff is exceptional: courteous yet warm. They all know how to welcome and serve perfectly. There are two set menus (one starter and main course, and one starter, main course, and dessert), and the à la carte menu offers a wide variety of choices (tapas, starters, vegetarian options, meat dishes, daily specials, fish, side dishes, cheeses, and desserts). Every dish is beautifully presented. The smoked burrata mozzarella melts in your mouth. When I visited, the daily special was pork with a chorizo ​​sauce: wonderful. Finally, I couldn't resist ordering the Bonnat chocolate Marquise, which exceeded all expectations. The sommelier recommended a very tasty bottle of wine. Price was very acceptable, unlike all other restaurants at the top of the hills which were like 2 times the price. Definitely recommend if you want a quick easy and nice bite. Also one of the few places open at early hours.

17/07/2026: A cuisine with character, daily specials, a warm welcome, and service provided by the chef—we didn't expect to find a gourmet restaurant...a real gem. Almost impossible to get a table without a reservation; there were many regulars when we were there. Only local products are used.

The culinary standard is high, and the chef, who personally oversees the service, adds a personal touch that completes a rare and unexpected experience in the Chartreuse region.

10/05/2026: A fantastic evening experience for two! We received a very warm welcome and the atmosphere was lovely. When we made the reservation, we were asked if we had any dietary restrictions. The menu was limited, with only six items, all seasonal. It was absolutely delicious. We'll definitely be back!
