29/10/2025: I'm really disappointed with this establishment. I was on holiday in Mimizan last week with my godson. They didn't even give me my change for my €20 note, claiming I hadn't seen it. I complained to the staff, who told me it was my responsibility to watch my money and that he "wasn't my father." As a person with a cognitive disability, if I hadn't noticed, they would have kept the €16 for themselves. They are real thieves and dishonest, and on top of that, they humiliated me in front of my godson. I will never go back to that bar!

15/04/2026: A wonderful discovery during a visit to Dax. A warm atmosphere, a charming period bar, and delicious food. Special mention to the "uncle" who took such good care of the children...as our little one said: "He's a kind gentleman!" 20/04/2026: A disaster as I write this. No time to choose a menu, and the hostess had the nerve to tell us, "If you had asked, I would have shown you the menu." At what point is a manager not supposed to teach their multi-skilled staff the basic rules of business? Displaying the products for sale! As a result, we only ordered two out of the three menus we planned. This isn't a fake review. The multi-skilled employee who served us is blonde with glasses and is the ex of someone we both know well. (By the way, could you give me back my socks, please?!) Review updated following the establishment's response regarding the "fake review." I formally confirm that this is a real experience I had during our family visit. The service was extremely unpleasant: there was no time to consult the menu due to the lack of clear display at the time of ordering, and the employee's response was inappropriate when we simply pointed out that I didn't know what to order because the menu wasn't displayed. As a direct consequence, only two of the three menu items could be ordered; I personally wasn't served. The main problem isn't the service error—that can happen—but the handling of customer feedback. Labeling a review as "fake" without verification or contact demonstrates a clear lack of consideration for customers and raises questions about the quality of management. A professional establishment listens, investigates, and takes responsibility for malfunctions in order to improve the customer experience. Denying feedback that has been publicly shared contributes neither to trust nor to the brand's image. I now expect a constructive and responsible response, commensurate with the level of service one has the right to expect from a major fast-food chain.

02/04/2026: McDonald's is incredibly slow every time I go, at least once every two or three months. Orders take a minimum of 45 minutes to an hour. I'm served in the evenings starting at 10:00 or 10:15 PM. They prepare all the orders before serving them, which makes the service extremely slow, all so they can finish before I do. We order online to speed things up, but in the end, we have to wait almost an hour in front of McDonald's, going back through the drive-thru and having to get in line longer because the wait is so long.

29/03/2026: I've ordered McDonald's through Uber Eats at least four times. Something's always missing: either sauces that cost extra, burgers that don't match the order, or other items that are simply not included. It's fast food, but they shouldn't be so quick to forget things!

03/03/2026: I've been to this restaurant a few times and it's always been a great experience. The food is good, and the staff is friendly and smiling. For all lovers of Asian cuisine, this place is perfect. I highly recommend it.

15/02/2026: The welcome was a bit cold, however, we were seated and ordered an aperitif. Before we could even chat, we were served. The shrimp chips arrived at the same time as our order. They weren't great on the plate, but they weren't hot enough; I'd say lukewarm, and they didn't really have the flavors described on the website. The meal was expensive and didn't live up to our expectations. I wouldn't recommend it.

06/04/2026: A very pleasant discovery. A warm welcome and excellent food. The fish of the day with a delicious pea purée, the asparagus, and the small pieces of strawberries were a perfect match. The lamb was also very good. Dessert, however, was a bit tricky. We had to choose between two menus (just like the main courses): the current menu and the new one. The problem was that there weren't many options left (no more chocolate cigars, no more apple and pear tarts, etc.), which was a bit of a disappointment. The kiwi tart was good, though not our first choice. Overall, we had a lovely time and would recommend it.

29/03/2026: The restaurant is well laid out; you don't feel cramped between customers. The welcome was incredibly warm and professional. The menu is clear, despite some changes that are well explained. Every dish looks absolutely delicious, and it lives up to the hype—everything is delicious, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. You can really taste every flavor. Many things are homemade, if not all. I was pleasantly surprised by the cheese sorbet; it was divine. Personally, I consider proximity to the kitchen quite important, something I really appreciate. The kitchen was spotless. I would go back without hesitation. The only downside is that I don't live nearby. Well done to you both! For your information, including an aperitif, a glass of wine, a starter, a main course, cheese, and dessert, the bill came to 82 euros, which is more than reasonable for the quality.

12/04/2026: What a fascinating experience! I discovered that at Jean de Sable, fine dining is like an Olympic sprint. While the food is absolutely excellent, and the six-course "Stroll on the Sand" menu is flawless, the service seems designed to clear the dining room in record time. Arriving 30 minutes early for our 8:00 pm reservation for aperitifs and to enjoy the beautiful weather, we were greeted by a closed terrace door and an immediate order to choose our courses before we could even say "aperitif." The marathon continued unabated: ejected from the terrace mid-drink under the pretext that it closed at 7:45 pm, we then watched the six courses arrive at a breakneck pace, with wine poured assembly-line style as if the cellar were about to self-destruct. Despite our explicit request to take our time between courses, the staff seemed to be rushing, going so far as to turn off the kitchen lights while we were still in the dining room. For an establishment of this caliber, dining without a tablecloth only to find the waiter waiting for us at the register, the bill already on the counter at 9:50 p.m., is a rare display of rudeness. On a Friday evening, with only five tables occupied, one would have hoped that our presence wouldn't be treated as a mere end-of-service chore. The Chef's talent deserves so much better than this disregard for the customer. Perhaps a simple smile would have made it all go more smoothly.

11/04/2026: One of the best meals we've ever had. The flavors, the combinations, the seasonings—everything was just right and delicious. Special mention goes to the cauliflower with its pearly oil and the squab. A huge thank you to the chef and the entire team for this wonderful experience; you even managed to make me like fish again.

The sea bass with shrimp was cooked perfectly, the sauce nicely seasoned, and I was able to have it with fries instead of mashed potatoes—thank you so much! The macaron was a little hard but melted in your mouth, and the ginger ice cream was a real treat—not too spicy, just right! I highly recommend it. Very nice restaurant, warm atmosphere. Impeccable and very pleasant service.
