15/08/2026: The Auberge de Clairefontaine in Saint-Hilaire-la-Gravelle is a magnificent place! The welcome is warm, generous, and very professional, all within a bucolic and beautifully decorated setting. As for the dishes the chef prepared for us, they were simply exquisite, with flavorful notes and harmonious combinations. We also enjoyed some excellent wines (an ideal Cheverny) to accompany this delicious dinner. In short, my wife and I had an unforgettable time thanks to Chef Jean-Jacques, who worked in some of the most prestigious establishments (the Élysée Palace, Chanel) before returning to his roots. A big thank you also to our hostess Bernadette for her joie de vivre and her secret homemade cocktails made with infused rum. I highly recommend it, go for it!

13/08/2026: We had a wonderful stay at this farm-inn, just a 5-minute drive from Beauval Zoo! The country house is truly adorable, very well maintained, and full of charm. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bedding was superb! Special mention goes to the homemade breakfast, included in the stay: butter, homemade jams, honey, bread, pancakes, apple juice… with a choice of coffee or tea. Everything was delicious! Françoise even offered to make us more pancakes if we wanted! The hosts are absolutely lovely, welcoming, and warm. We felt right at home. ❤️ A truly wonderful discovery for us, which we highly recommend! We will definitely be back. 😊

From the initial discussions to the big day, everything was meticulously organized and planned, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy our event. Everything was excellent, with high-quality ingredients, delicious and beautifully presented dishes, and a stunning presentation. A truly outstanding service, complemented by a friendly, pleasant, and professional team. I highly recommend them without hesitation!

22/09/2026: September 22, 2026 Staying at the Hôtel du Château in Tours, Sologne, after spending the day at the Château de Chambord, we booked a table at the crêperie La Bigouden. A very pleasant surprise! Friendly welcome, excellent galettes and crêpes. Good value for money. Reasonable prices. Reservations recommended. We will certainly return to the area to visit other castles and we will definitely come back for more galettes and crêpes. We recommend this place without hesitation.

21/07/2026: There are good places to eat… and then there’s “the place to eat.” The kind of restaurant you mention when you talk about your weekend, right up there with a hike or a museum you discovered in the area. If we had to redefine what a good place to eat is, we’d simply use the criteria of Chez Arti. The dishes are high-quality, there’s flavor on the plate, the setting is idyllic, and you’re welcomed like family. Like having lunch in your parents’ garden. Go have lunch at Chez Arti in Lavardin. In the sunshine, if possible.

19/06/2026: The hotel and rooms are fantastic. The Michelin-starred restaurant is wonderful (especially the cheese selection and the sommelier). However, it's unacceptable that a hotel of this category and price has a bistro with such a limited and ordinary menu, and that the breakfast is also somewhat limited in its offerings and quality.

We had an amazing menu de jour for lunch followed by breakfast the next morning before heading off on our journey. Very reasonably priced accommodation and meals.
