19/02/2026: We had a fantastic meal! We ordered one à la carte and one of the daily specials, and it was almost perfect. It could have used a little more salt, but it was there on the table. Impeccable service, a lovely brasserie that I highly recommend. We opted for the most expensive bottle of wine with our starters, main courses, and desserts, hence the price ;) Thanks for the little after-dinner drink! 😁

04/12/2025: We stopped randomly on the road: The welcome was friendly, the meal was good, but I've tasted better flavorful food; the meat was very tough, which was a shame. The decor needs updating; it looks shabby. From the moment you walk in, you can see the floor is dirty.

23/11/2025: A very pleasant place. A proper restaurant open on Sundays, which is quite rare and worth mentioning. We enjoyed a Cheverny red "Le Portail," very typical of the Loire Valley, with a deep ruby ​​color, well-balanced at 12% alcohol, and an interesting, subtle cheesey finish. It went down very easily. For the starter, we had goat cheese with honey on excellent bread (rye or something else?). But the fish stew was remarkable, especially the cooking; the sea bream and scallops were perfectly al dente. The vintage decor is a matter of taste, but it's certainly charming. Just be aware of the dust! Well done. We recommend it!

31/01/2026: Today's menu this Friday. Monkfish, bland sauce, one piece had a strange taste, chuck roast with an overly salty sauce. Vegetables of the day: salsify, 1 Brussels sprout, broccoli, (1 potato, well, I didn't have one...) Out of the 4 people, 3 have gastroenteritis. Doubts about the freshness of the food.
03/01/2026: Do as I did: come and discover this warm and unpretentious roadside restaurant. It's so good you'll want to come back! I gave it 5 stars because they truly deserve it! The quality of the varied meals, the efficient and friendly service, and the great atmosphere are all outstanding! I'm so happy with it that I keep going back and I recommend it to everyone! They are hard workers who give their all, so we should encourage them, motivate them, and keep coming back for everyone's enjoyment! Thank you again to them, and see you very soon! 07/10/2025: We came here by chance on Sunday. We were looking for a restaurant in Salbris. What a joy to walk through the door. We were afraid we'd stumble upon a cliché of the competitor with the big horns. Not so! The fire in the middle of the room brings a warm, welcoming atmosphere to our grandparents' home. Cooking right before our eyes over a wood fire is a real plus. The quality of the products is indisputable, whether it's the traditional andouillettes, Troyes sausages, traditional sausages, or braised ham. A real treat. The sweet touch of the meal is not the least. The coulant, ile flottante, and baba, not to mention the exquisitely flavored traditional ice creams, will leave you speechless. The welcome is very pleasant. The managers are very friendly and don't hesitate to chat 😉. You've found new loyal customers when we return to Salbris. See you soon
