03/08/2026: A weekend near Saumur with friends, we discovered this little restaurant opposite the Dampierre motorhome area. Its service is original: the customer gets up to collect their own food and clears their own table. The pike-perch we ate was delicious. It's not a gourmet restaurant, but a lovely place for those who appreciate simplicity and a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Thank you!

30/07/2026: A casual, open-air restaurant with live music. There are no waiters, so you have to get up to order, collect your food from the counter, and clear your own table. The concept is fun and the food is very good ☺️

12/08/2026: While on vacation in Écuillé, we ate in once and ordered takeout twice. The service is very friendly, and the food (pizzas and burgers) is good quality. If you're a regular, you know everything is great! If you're just passing through, don't hesitate for a second; you'll be warmly welcomed and the food will be delicious. Special mention to the owner for his punch, which resulted in my sweetheart taking a full-clothes plunge into the pool! 😂

12/08/2026: Burgers, pizzas, everything is excellent and prepared with care. The house cocktails are delicious. The punch is amazing ;-) The welcome is very friendly. The place is air-conditioned and a lovely terrace allows you to enjoy the nice weather. The atmosphere is so welcoming that you naturally strike up conversations with the regulars. It's a guarantee of a good time.

27/08/2026: A visit to this establishment was more than disappointing. We arrived for lunch at 1 p.m. The bar service was very good, no complaints, the waitress was excellent. We moved on to the meal, and out of three courses, only one was available: the "royal salad." It was anything but royal: six lettuce leaves, three pieces of bacon, and two tiny bits of gizzard for €14.50. Then we wanted to order a cheese plate listed on the menu, but they were out of that too. There was no portion size adjustment for children (ours was four years old). In short, we do not recommend it.

18/09/2026: A Chinese self-service restaurant that does its job very well. The food is very fresh and the variety of dishes and recipes is delicious. The staff is friendly and efficient. You can go there without hesitation.

16/09/2026: We went there on September 16, 2026, at lunchtime. We were extremely disappointed by the buffet. All the fried food was overcooked, truly inedible. We pointed this out, but they didn't care. The leg of lamb was overcooked, as was the Peking duck, cut into large pieces and without sauce. The chicken curry was very average, the caramel chicken was good, but the rest was really not good at all. The desserts were varied but of mediocre quality. In short, we do not recommend this restaurant.

03/10/2026: Passing through Saumur for a stopover, we stumbled upon this restaurant which, at first glance, really appealed to us. Unfortunately, it's much more beautiful on the outside than convincing on the plate… We were warmly welcomed by the owner, I suppose, but as for the waitresses, that's another story. I've never seen so many grimaces and judgmental looks during an entire shift. Not a smile, an unpleasant attitude, and a constant feeling of being a nuisance. I ordered a burger cooked rare. My request was taken and confirmed without any problem. When my burger arrived, the patty was medium-rare. So I called the waitress over to simply point out the problem. She took my plate and went back to the kitchen, sighing. A few moments later, the other waitress came back to me, hands raised in the air, asking, "What's wrong with the burger?" I explained to her that I had asked for it rare and that the steak was medium-rare. She then told me that they don't cook rare. In that case, why did I accept and confirm that it was cooked when I ordered? I work in a kitchen myself, and given the product served, I completely understood why rare wasn't offered: the steak was frozen. And unfortunately, that was also evident in the food. The burger had practically no flavor. With the return to the kitchen, my friends had time to finish their plates completely, and I finally ate about 15 minutes after them. And it still wasn't over: about 10 minutes after I got my plate back, a waitress came back with a "Are you finished?" and took my plate away even though I hadn't finished eating. In short, a very nice-looking restaurant, but unfortunately, our experience ends there. Between the waitresses' unpleasant attitude, the sighing, the stares, the handling of the cooking issue, and clearing someone's table before they'd even finished their meal, we had a terrible experience. We were simply passing through Saumur and wanted to enjoy a pleasant stop on our journey. We left extremely disappointed. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

26/09/2026: A very nice restaurant in the center of Saumur. The food is excellent and the service is impeccable. The staff and the owner are attentive to customers and their needs. I highly recommend this place.

26/09/2026: A beautiful, charming establishment with very pleasant grounds. However, the rooms are quite outdated and desperately need a complete renovation. The current level of comfort is far below what one would expect from a 3-star hotel.

15/09/2026: Bravo Mileades! Zero welcome, 3-zero food. Not a single tablecloth or placemat to improve the decor. It felt like a school cafeteria with dishes smothered in sauce to mask the poor quality. No honey at breakfast for three days, claiming they hadn't had time to pick it up, even though it's delivered. We were thrilled to leave and never set foot in there again. Where has the old Mileades gone?!

11/06/2026: While passing through the region, we dined at the inn's restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the meal: quality, flavor, presentation—everything was excellent, including the service. A place we're always glad to have. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

10/06/2026: The hotel was great, very beautiful setting, lovely garden, spacious and clean rooms. The only downside was the breakfast, which was very basic; for the price, one expects better. Needs improvement.
