08/09/2024: Repas en couple en salle dans ce restaurant très bien situé en zone piétonne. Excellente accueil et explication parfaite des plats. Présentation très original de ces derniers. La viande est cuite dans une cheminée au feux de bois. Nous reviendrons c’était un régal.

06/07/2024: We found this fabulous restaurant by accident. We wanted somewhere near our stopover hotel after a long drive. I think they were fully booked but very kindly gave us a table just as they opened on a very busy Saturday evening. The staff were really friendly, had a great sense of humour and calmly dealt with a packed restaurant. The food was delicious; a wide range of choice to be had and it arrived piping hot. The desserts were something else! My husband ordered profiteroles and they were huge! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the atmosphere and would love to visit again. Thank you so much to all the staff there for making our visit so enjoyable.

22/09/2024: On this day of heritage discovery and before going to see the castles, we made a very nice gastronomic discovery! We've been wanting to discover Laurent's burgers for a long time, and it's a done deal. An excellent welcome and tasty burgers cooked with fresh produce in original recipes. Excellent fresh fries. It was really great and the atmosphere with very nice music. We had a lovely time and we will come back. Thank you Laurent! Keep it up 😉

21/09/2024: A first for us. The Burgers are good. We ate well overall. Special mention for Lucie who took the time to introduce us to the Burgers and sauces. Very cheerful, very pleasant, concerned about the well-being of customers. A big thank you to her.

05/09/2024: Étant un habitué des plats mexicains je ne recommande pas du tout ce restaurant : le chili con carne et le guacamole, qui sont je le rappelle emblématiques de la cuisine mexicaine, étaient sans saveur ni odeur. Et pour cause j’ai cru reconnaître le chili con carne en conserve que je mangeais quand j’étais étudiant, c’est malheureusement la seule chose qui m’a bluffé. Le restaurant a la main très légère sur les épices... La cuisine n’est pas fidèle au point de ce que l’on pourrait attendre d’un restaurant, les prix en revanche le sont bel et bien… En bref : ils comptent clairement sur leur monopole local pour servir des plats médiocres et peu travaillés à prix forts. Croyez moi si vous tenez vraiment à manger mexicain : fuyez.

19/09/2024: A restaurant situated away from the tourist centre. We had a very delicious meal - have eaten lots of duck breasts on this trip and tonight’s was the most tender with a delicious combination of flavours. The beef also tasty with fresh seasonal vegetables. Waitstaff friendly and helpful. Highly recommend you eat here!

10/08/2024: For the price to avoid €200 at 4 for tasteless dishes except for the fish, an old Guinguette which has the prices of a good restaurant. Damage. The setting is very good but the restaurant has nothing to do with it.

15/09/2024: The best pancakes we've had in a long time. Everything was perfect, the welcome, the service and the pancakes of course, copious, well prepared, a treat 😋😋we will come back during our next visit to Saumur.

10/09/2024: Haven't been for 2 years, disappointed by the presentation on the plate and almost all the desserts in the farandole of desserts have almost the same taste apart from the Cointreau soufflé even though you pay an extra 4.90 euros... Too bad, disappointed.... I reported it after dessert.

07/09/2024: Very good cuisine. Impeccable service. Very professional and attentive staff. However, the desserts convinced us a little less, hence the 4 stars. In short, an experience that nonetheless remains very pleasant. To be renewed.

11/08/2024: Visited today, following word of mouth, we ate very well there. Fast service and very nice waiter, friendly staff. The restaurant and toilets were very clean. The only downside was €6 for a glass of wine, with only 2 cm of wine in the glass it wasn't great. But the rest is very good 👍🏻

28/08/2024: Absolutely great atmosphere, professional and friendly service. Unfortunately our expectations for the food were too high. The fries were ok, the confit duck was good, the grilled skewer was ok but unfortunately hardly seasoned. The steaks were both almost raw and well done at the same time. Roasted aromas were missing. The meat is really stringy. Given the great display with the Weber outdoor grill kitchen, our expectation was that the steaks in Aux 2 terrasses would actually have to be very good.

26/08/2024: Restaurant très bien placé : presque en face du Château de Brissac. Cadre très agréable en terrasse (Terrasse très propre). Les brochettes de boeuf étaient délicieuses et cuites comme nous les souhaitions avec un accompagnement bien dosé. Très bon accueil et service parfait.

29/08/2024: A meal on the terrace overlooking the plain: a feast for the eyes. A refined menu, elegant, original, simple but effective cuisine: a treat for the senses. Gazpacho tartare of crab and prawns with mozzarella ice cream and olive mouillettes and crushed tomato. Rabbit, green beans and stuffed zucchini. Creamy mascarpone and white chocolate with raspberries. Go find out. It's not for everyone, but you'll get more than your money's worth.

25/08/2024: Excellent evening meal. The summer menu is delicious. We took the menu of two starters, main course, cheese, pre-dessert and dessert for €68. Perfect.
