18/08/2026: This was our first time at this restaurant. The setting was pleasant, the overall tasting menu quite good, and the service provided by a young waiter was simple but very much appreciated. However, with an outside temperature of 37/38°C, and the French doors left open throughout the meal to let in the hot air, as there is no air conditioning; not even a fan to provide some ventilation, which was undoubtedly also hot. As a result, we didn't fully appreciate our meal as we surely should have. This is very regrettable.

06/08/2026: A bad first impression at the meeting to finalize the meal. We were seated at the far end of the bar and our reservation was noted on a sticky note. The welcome was cold and without a smile. Despite the intense heat, there was no air conditioning or fan. It was a family meal – 28 people, including a young baby. What a shame, we won't be returning.

17/05/2026: Passing through Angers before heading back to Paris, we tried La Soufflerie to discover the concept. The idea of ​​a soufflé is original and a welcome change from traditional restaurants. We ordered a Savoyard soufflé, a ham and cheese soufflé, a salmon and spinach galette, and two sweet strawberry soufflés. Honestly, it wasn't bad, but we left rather disappointed. Perhaps I'm not a big fan of soufflés, but overall we felt they lacked a bit of flavor and depth. We were expecting something more indulgent and with more pronounced flavors. The desserts were decent too, but nothing memorable. In the end, nearly €70 for three people seemed quite expensive considering the experience. It's a shame, because the concept really had potential.

30/07/2026: The food, presentation, and quality of the ingredients were all excellent. For a €39 set menu, it was truly perfect. However, the service was a disappointment. We had lunch on the terrace under a broken parasol that we had to hold onto several times to prevent it from falling on the table before finally asking for a replacement. Furthermore, we had ordered a glass of white wine with the fish, which never arrived. An oversight can happen, but some compensation would have been appreciated. In short, a very good lunch, somewhat spoiled by service that didn't live up to the standard one expects from La Grange. A shame. Congratulations to the chef.

30/07/2026: A truly wonderful culinary discovery. The cuisine is excellent, refined, and fully deserves its reputation. However, the service unfortunately falls short. Our starter was served before we had finished our aperitif, which gave an impression of haste. The plates were placed rather abruptly, and a spoon even fell during service, without any real care being taken. We also regretted the disappearance of the amuse-bouche that the previous owners had offered. It's certainly a small detail, but it was a thoughtful touch that contributed to the overall dining experience. In short, excellent cuisine that deserves to be accompanied by more attentive service and attention to detail befitting the establishment's standard.

We were able to enjoy the pool on this sunny May 1st. The setting was very pleasant for dinner with soothing background music. The breakfast is exceptional, with fresh, homemade products. The staff is extremely friendly and the owner is very attentive. We will return with immense pleasure. See you soon.

13/08/2026: A very pleasant restaurant; I ate on the terrace. The service was quick and enjoyable, with a lovely view of the castle. The salad and lemon tart were both excellent. Everything was beautifully presented. It was delicious!

10/08/2026: They sure were busy! Arrived at 12.40 ish and were asked to return in 20-30 mins as all tables were taken - so we did at about 1.15. Stood around for at least 10 minutes trying to get any of the staff to engage with us regarding a now empty table with one chair. We were then told to come back in 20 mins and because I pointed out the empty table and that there were several unoccupied chairs for us to use, I feel that then their latent anti English attitudes came out. We totally ignored again. After a Google translate asking for a drink while we waited, it was 2 o'clock before they took our order and at 2.22pm 2 nice duck dishes arrived - just as we were leaving cash on the table for the beers! If there had been any other restaurants open we would have gone there instead. The service was slow because they were busy, but the attitude made the wait intolerable!
