02/08/2026: The food was absolutely terrible. The quality was very disappointing, and the taste was awful. On top of that, the prices were far too high for what you get. It offers very poor value for money. I won’t be coming back, and unfortunately, I can’t recommend this place.

04/09/2026: Our visit to the restaurant was marred by a minor mishap. The setting and atmosphere are very pleasant. The waiter was generally friendly. I ordered a Honey Mustard burger, which was excellent! It had homemade brioche buns, a nice thick patty, and a superb sauce. The wine list is truly comprehensive. There's a small display of bottles in the window. For my mother, who has a restricted diet due to health issues, I ordered a Caesar salad without dressing, as she can't have pepper, among other things. The only slight drawback was the salad, which was unfortunately burnt/rotten. It couldn't have been the dressing since there wasn't any. That's why I'd like to make a small comment to the manager: it wasn't freshly washed salad, but bagged salad. It was most likely opened that same day, but that doesn't change the fact that this type of salad browns and rots extremely quickly, even without opening the package and sometimes even before you buy it. A real, fresh, washed salad seems much better. Overall, the experience was very good; everything was homemade, from the burger to the breaded chicken in the salad—very, very good. Oh! And by the way, the little coconut cocktail was delicious.

08/08/2026: We had the Chateau de Chantilly booked for the afternoon and grabbed lunch first at Le Bouchon Gourmand with our French friends, because the storefront was pretty and the menu looked good. Best call we made all week. The welcome was warm from the second we walked in. Julian, the manager, could not have been nicer, and he walked us out back to a courtyard you'd never guess was there, with a huge iron horse standing in the middle of it. The whole place is done up around horses, which makes sense in a horse town like this, but they've done it beautifully. Sunny day, plenty of people out there and a really good atmosphere, busy without ever being loud. Our server Linay looked after us from start to finish and she was a delight, all smiles, attentive without hovering, and nothing we had to ask for twice. Then the food. I had the hanger steak, medium rare and perfectly cooked with homemade mashed potatoes I'm still thinking about. My wife had sea bass and cleaned her plate. Everything was fresh, everything was seasoned right, and the meat was juicy. We both finished with the apple tart, which came out looking like a picture and tasted even better. Our French friends were just as happy and they're a lot more used to this than we are. We never got to thank the chef in person, so thank you here for exceptional cooking. Two things before I go. One small gripe, a few of the wines we picked weren't available that day. And save room for dessert, the portions are no joke.

11/04/2026: We booked a one-night stay with breakfast and dinner. The arrival was very welcoming, and the room was spotless. The meal was excellent from start to finish, with fresh, homemade ingredients. We were even surprised by the homemade bread, which was also excellent. The continental breakfast was simple, with excellent pastries as well. If we were to return, we would gladly stay here again! Thank you very much!

06/01/2026: A lovely family dinner at this welcoming restaurant. Friendly atmosphere and smiling service. The whole family enjoyed themselves. I highly recommend it. I didn't have time to take photos. The wine list was well-chosen and reasonably priced.

28/02/2026: A discovery… and what a discovery! As a cheese lover, I was pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the owner was very friendly. I highly recommend it!

04/07/2026: An incredible experience every time. A fantastic atmosphere and a huge shout-out to the country-style pizzas: 1, 2 salmon, 3 goat cheese and honey – in short, super delicious!

23/06/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A musical welcome awaits… and not just any music: karaoke! 🎤 There's no escaping it, participation is (almost) mandatory 😂. Luckily, a complimentary cocktail is offered to give you courage! The pizzas are excellent, honestly, I give them a 100% thumbs up 🍕. And above all, a super friendly team that creates a fantastic atmosphere. You come to eat, you leave with a full stomach and maybe a singing career… or not! 😄

13/08/2026: A superb tea room, warmly welcomed by the passionate and engaging Sylvie. We came to enjoy tea for a mother-daughter afternoon! You step inside, and time seems to stand still in this relaxing and pleasant place! We each had a perfectly brewed tea and some delicious cakes of the day! Then, with the warm weather, we also enjoyed a very fragrant iced infusion! We'll be back soon for another relaxing moment!

06/07/2026: An incredible shop, brimming with gift ideas for yourself or others, combined with an excellent tea room where you can discover delicious teas expertly prepared and accompanied by delectable homemade cakes (other hot and cold drinks are also available). And all this with a warm and welcoming atmosphere! A place not to be missed!

10/05/2026: Excellent village bistro/brasserie, we eat there 2-3 times a week, fast service and the owners are great 👌

05/07/2026: It was our first time, excellent couscous, very welcoming. The only thing to mention was that it was lukewarm, but nothing serious. The young woman who greeted us was very pleasant.

28/08/2026: We had a wonderful evening at the restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary in a very intimate setting. The welcome was extremely warm, and the staff were incredibly kind, responsive, polite, and above all, competent. Everything is organized so that the time spent at Vert Bois is not only delicious (as always) but truly unforgettable. The attention given to each guest made it a truly special experience.
