17/11/2025: We've been coming to this pizzeria for several years now, and we've always appreciated the quality of the pizzas. However, we've noticed a decline over the past few months. It used to be packed, but now, even on weekends, the place is empty. The menu has shrunk considerably, whereas it used to offer a wide selection that satisfied everyone. There aren't even any waiters anymore. We don't know what's going on, but it makes us feel really uneasy as customers. It's truly sad, because we still love the pizzas. That's our feeling, it's a shame.

19/10/2025: Please update the opening hours. We arrived at the restaurant on Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. (it said it was open online), and it was closed. It was a real pain to find a restaurant open near Le Vivier sur Mer on a Sunday evening.

17/08/2026: Takeout order. It was our first time ordering from this pizzeria. They offer a wide variety of pizzas to suit all tastes. I ordered two pizzas more than an hour in advance, and fifteen minutes before the scheduled time, the owner agreed to prepare a third pizza for an unexpected guest, despite the busy order volume. It was a first, and certainly not the last.

22/04/2026: I've been to this pizzeria several times with friends, and everything had always gone well, but our last experience was truly unacceptable. We ordered a takeaway pizza with honey and goat cheese. There was probably a mix-up: my friend said "miel" (honey) and I said "honey." When we got home and opened the box, we discovered a completely different pizza, with meat and hot sauce (which is particularly problematic since my friend is vegetarian). We calmly returned to the restaurant to explain the situation, even apologizing for the possible confusion. Despite this, the pizza maker's reaction was completely disproportionate: he became angry, raised his voice, and insisted that the mistake was entirely ours. He made no attempt to find a solution. The most disappointing aspect was the manager's attitude, who witnessed the scene without intervening, allowing his employee to continue speaking to us aggressively. When we asked if we should pay for the new pizza, the pizza maker started yelling again, blaming us for the mistake, even though it was obvious we would never have ordered a meat pizza, especially since one of us is vegetarian. The experience was so unpleasant that we decided never to return. Mistakes happen, but how customers are treated makes all the difference—and here, it was very poor.

22/04/2026: We were regular customers of this establishment for a while, but after what happened, we won't be going back. One day, we ordered a "honey" pizza, but the pizza maker thought we had "Haníbal" (meat). Being vegetarian, when we received the pizza and realized the mistake, we tried to return it calmly and respectfully. Instead of acknowledging the misunderstanding or at least handling the situation professionally, the pizza maker reacted very rudely. He spoke to us disrespectfully, refused any solution, and blamed us, showing no interest whatsoever in resolving the problem or treating regular customers properly. I can understand that mistakes happen, especially with language, but what is unacceptable is the lack of respect and the attitude towards customers. Making mistakes is human; mistreating customers is not. I do not recommend this place.

17/10/2026: Pasta, pizza (excellent), tiramisu... absolutely amazing!

27/09/2026: I ordered a pizza and pasta with chicken livers and a green salad for delivery. What a pleasant surprise! Everything arrived piping hot. Everything was excellent. The pizza was generously topped and crispy on the edges, thanks to being cooked in a wood-fired oven. The chicken livers were very filling and delicious. The salad and tomatoes were nice and fresh. I highly recommend it.

15/09/2026: Patapain Guéret staff are unfriendly, barely even saying hello, and seem to have a lascivious air about them. They tidy the shop and shelves while customers wait to be served, chatting amongst themselves in front of the still-waiting customers. There's a lack of hygiene during service. They run their hands through their hair and touch the products. This team needs a more rigorous manager; the one in Limoges is much more conscientious and attentive to the customer. Well done to Limoges!

25/08/2026: I came to Patapain during a previous lunch break, and I'm shocked to learn that the chain still hasn't taken a stand against these cruel practices. In the standard farms from which Patapain sources its pigs, piglets have their tails docked and their teeth filed down at birth, while breeding sows spend half their lives in cages. Knowing this completely ruins my customer experience.

07/09/2026: Honestly, it's exhausting. You order takeout, and it's ready 30 minutes after the scheduled time. You order a farmhouse pizza (with mozzarella), and you get Reblochon cheese in it (I didn't sign up for that disgusting stuff). I imagine it must be a difficult pace to maintain, but still. Despite that, the prices are reasonable, but they should make an effort. The staff is very friendly, but frankly, I'm disappointed.

30/09/2026: I went there on Tuesday, September 30, 2026. My friends and I all ended up with stomach aches and vomiting, even though it was the only place we'd eaten together that day. It's a shame because the staff is very friendly.

16/08/2026: Living nearby, we're used to getting our bread here. But lately, I've been disappointed… I went there on Friday at 11 a.m. and was told they were out of bread! The only choice left was between two "specialty breads" at almost €3 each, and unfortunately, the quality wasn't there. It's a shame, because we used to come regularly.

23/08/2026: I don't usually give bad reviews, but we definitely felt ripped off. The pizza I was served was barely edible; I didn't even think it was possible for a professional to sell a pizza like that. The dough was smothered under a 3 cm layer of canned eggplant and tomato (probably the cheapest kind), with a mushy texture, a bit of tasteless grated cheese, and some parmesan shavings (to try and salvage the whole thing). One slice and you're sick of it. The other pizzas were slightly better, but no better than a frozen, mass-produced pizza. And all this for at least 16 euros a pizza... It's not our first time here, and until now, while not exceptional, it was acceptable, but this time it's clear we won't be going back.

06/09/2026: Ordering on Uber Eats was a nightmare! There were so many mistakes. I ordered a burger, Coke, and fries, but I didn't get the Coke, and the burger wasn't even the one I ordered. Honestly, I'm very disappointed. With so many errors, you need to review your service.

26/09/2026: The pizzas were excellent, but the service was extremely slow. To the employee's credit, it was a Sunday and he was working alone. We ate the pizzas at Buttes Chaumont. They were pre-sliced, which is very convenient for a picnic. Not holding a grudge, we'll be back! 😁

04/08/2026: I have to change my rating. I usually eat pizza here and it's generally good, but this time when my brother brought us the pizza, I felt like throwing up. I don't know if it was the barbecue sauce; my brother suspects the cheese. In any case, it tasted like a sock or sweat. I had to brush my teeth immediately after my second bite or I would have been sick. The first time I thought I was hallucinating, and the second time I couldn't eat it anymore. My brother thinks the ingredients have changed and that it's the cheese because, according to him, without cheese it tastes normal, but with it it tastes like "socks." But I don't know, because the colors... There's something very acidic that has this sock/sweat taste. They need to change it and go back to the old ingredients. We had a chicken burger.
