29/11/2025: The establishment was closed on a Wednesday despite being advertised as open online. A 45-minute drive for nothing.

20/08/2026: A very traditional feeling cafe that has not changed with time. Stop for a coffee along the Bicycle route.

16/08/2026: Disaster, absolutely avoid! No service whatsoever; you have to go to the bar and carry your tray to your table yourself. A gloomy atmosphere, you're stared at from head to toe, and the two owners make very nasty remarks.

24/01/2026: The restaurant is excellent and well worth a visit, both for the gourmet dinner and the breakfast. The rooms are modestly comfortable, but we slept well. We received a very warm welcome!

09/08/2026: Lunch at the pot-au-feu festival and flea market... Friendly staff, but quickly overwhelmed... The food is good, no-nonsense, the meat is really high quality, the fries are nothing special... but for the price of the full menu, it's still very good value... Some areas for improvement: the welcome, the seating arrangements, and the wait for tables... But we'll gladly come back 😊

22/05/2026: I stumbled upon Ali Baba and the kebab delighted my taste buds. Artisanal veal kebab, undoubtedly the best kebab in Chalon-sur-Saône.

13/07/2026: Online reservation for 8:30 PM tonight for 2 people. The restaurant was closed, and they hung up on me when I called to find out why... It was the first time, and it will be the last.

20/06/2026: Excellent food, delicious dishes, and very pleasant service. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. A great find, and we'll be back. I highly recommend this little restaurant.

16/04/2026: Mussels and fries menu with a half-pint of beer at a really affordable price. Likewise, the homemade fries are very good and the service is pleasant.

29/08/2026: After a 45-minute wait, we finally got served… but not by LE MAJESTIC bar! After another 25 minutes without even being served, we decided to head to LE SALOON on Place Saint-Vincent, where we were finally able to have a drink. So, thanks to LE MAJESTIC, or rather LE MERDIQUE, for this wonderful experience 👌🏼 Have a good evening 🍻

29/08/2026: A terrible experience. We waited 25 minutes and no one came to take our order. We had time to go to another bar, order something, drink it, and go home to shower. The other customers still hadn't received their orders. They should think about hiring more staff next time.

14/09/2026: Honestly, it's filthy... the toilets, the floor, the pastry display case. And I came at 11 a.m.! A waiter with zero professionalism, wearing flip-flops and chatting across the street, totally relaxed. And €2.80 for a hazelnut, half a cup, is a bit much!

07/09/2026: Zero stars. The restaurant looks nice, but the food is terrible; I have a stomach ache. It's practically empty, and the waiter seems to be doing me a favor. The food is completely inedible. Seriously, avoid this place!

26/07/2026: Very disappointing. We ordered an Adana kebab, but the dish served bore no resemblance to a real Adana kebab. The taste, the spices, and the cooking were all off. We were expecting an authentic Turkish specialty, but we were very disappointed. I do not recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a true Adana kebab.

13/06/2026: Restaurant located on the quayside, the only slight drawback is the nearby road being a bit noisy. The welcome is very friendly, the portions are generous, with delicious Turkish specialties, and the service is quick and efficient. Enjoy your meal! 😋

09/11/2025: Hello, a message to the owner and anyone wishing to have a coffee or other drink on the terrace: At 12:30 PM, the brasserie was open, but one of the employees refused us entry, saying it was closed in a very unpleasant tone. He added that on Sundays it closes at 2:00 PM. So, it's open at 12:30 PM? This employee seems to think he can choose who gets to enjoy the terrace and have a drink, based on who the customer is. Avoid this place, or you'll have to hire staff capable of building a good reputation for your brasserie. Have a good day.

09/11/2025: Unpleasant welcome, the bar was open with people inside having drinks, and we were told it was closed because the owner was choosing their customers. I don't recommend it. And the opening hours this morning confirm it was open. Edit: It was indeed open, and there were customers, not workers, inside this morning.

28/08/2026: You can go there for the frogs' legs, as they are very good, but definitely not for the rest, as it's very disappointing. Bagged salad. Tasteless, low-quality chorizo. Ortollan and Reblochon cheeses that aren't farm-made. The waitress was very helpful and cheerful.

23/08/2026: Family meal, we were craving frogs' legs. They were quite good. However, when we made a comment, the waitress was unpleasant and offered no alternative. For example, the pitcher of rosé had a Madeira-like taste. The restaurant's decor could use a little updating.

06/09/2026: Shop was closed and they are charging with Uber eats and they can't answer the call, I lose €50 ,don't order here ,even yesterday I went there to ask about the money ,they closed ,in online it shows opened, disgusting

31/08/2026: It's a shame it changed owners; the new one spends more time on the phone and smoking in the kitchen. Two small pizzas were €8.50 and two drinks were €22. I didn't realize the cans had gone up that much. Honestly, I won't be going back.
