23/09/2025: We ate at the St Geniez Right Bank Festival. The welcome was warm. The savory and sweet crepes were excellent. A special mention goes to the waitresses who, despite the crowd, managed everything from start to finish.

02/12/2025: We come to the Bar de la Plage every week and feel right at home. The welcome is always so warm, a special shout-out to Manon, whom I adore and who always has such energy and a smile! In the summer, we come to drink our best pints of beer and syrup (yes, they have that too, which is fantastic after a long hike in the village!). In the winter, we come to warm up with a nice cup of tea after our market visit, with a view of the Faubourg on one side and the Barriou and the castle on the other. On Sunday, served with my tea, I had the pleasure of meeting the CUTEST brownie in the world (I'm being objective, just look at the picture; it was delicious too!). All year round, we can also pick up our parcels there as a relay point, which is very convenient with the large beach 🏖️. Bar de la Plage opening hours 🏖️. It's always a pleasure to visit you and a wonderful opportunity to connect with the other residents of Najac, the best village in the world (objectively speaking, of course). 🫶🏽

08/11/2025: We didn't make a reservation - it seems we took the last available table; note to self, in future make a reservation, because this restaurant was full. Isabel (owner along with her chef husband) was a wonderful host and available to answer our questions about the menu; she also made an excellent suggestion for accompanying wine. Like, it seemed, all other men in the restaurant, I went for the entrecote. It was huge, cooked perfectly (saignant, for me) and tasty. My partner went for the St Jacques and prawns, and was very happy. Would definitely return.

23/10/2025: This is our favorite restaurant in the area, which we've been going to for almost seven years. The food is excellent, always perfectly seasoned, freshly prepared, and includes a wide range of classic regional dishes and more unusual ones (my favorite: Thai foie gras broth). The cuisine is innovative without being extravagant, and the flavors are simply divine! And it's inspiring—I want to copy several of these creations. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, the service professional, attentive, and efficient. I'm rewriting my review, which I posted six years ago (and which was already very positive), because yesterday I ate a lamb stew that enchanted me; it was absolutely delicious. To die for! I'm delighted. The prices are very reasonable. We highly recommend this restaurant!!! It's always a good idea to make a reservation.

14/09/2025: The food on offer was not good and did not seem very fresh. Most of the menu items were unavailable, especially the pizzas. A customer also whistled at a friend, but the staff did not correct him.

07/11/2025: Visited during the holidays. Basic pizzas, nothing special. The waitress informed us that our order was running a little late because the manager was taking other customers' bills instead of preparing our pizzas. Okay, fine… Then, when it came time to pay, I tried to pay with a restaurant voucher and a holiday voucher. The manager told me it was one or the other, but not both, because otherwise it would incur too many fees. (Note that it's clearly stated on the storefront that both payment methods are accepted). I think I was stunned by his response and the sheer audacity of it… He's the first restaurant owner I've ever met who spoke to me like that… I ended up paying with the method I wanted; he even took my card from me to see what I was doing… and this gentleman escorted us to the door with an extreme lack of friendliness. Just nonsense... You need to know how to be a good businessman, sir... PS: The waitress was very friendly.
