22/11/2025: A delightful surprise! A charming little hotel with old-world appeal, very comfortable, impeccable service, helpful staff, and a very generous breakfast... Ideally located just a few minutes from Sarlat.
We would definitely return!
16/11/2025: During our weekend getaway in the Périgord region, we stumbled upon this small, unpretentious hotel-restaurant with a lovely atmosphere.
The ambiance is cozy and romantic, thanks to its location by the water.
The restaurant is excellent and highly recommended.

24/03/2026: Good traditional restaurant, somewhere between working-class and family-friendly. Great atmosphere. Super friendly owners. We tried the andouillette, which was really very good and well-prepared, and the stuffed cabbage, which was absolutely delicious.

18/11/2025: The Chambellan hotel is a very pleasant haven of peace. The hotel is charming, the rooms are well-decorated and well-equipped, and the hotel is very well-maintained. The village is magnificent, with many castles and tourist attractions to visit nearby. We received a very warm welcome and excellent advice. I highly recommend a stay at the Chambellan.

10/12/2025: I bought loads of things to try. Pork spring rolls, kebabs, saucy dishes, samosas, shrimp fritters. Everything was SO GOOD! And considering how much food I left with, the price was really good! I highly recommend you go and try it! And the cherry on top, the owner and the employee are very friendly 😌

It cost €12 for 3 items. If you're hungry, and you don't want to spend a fortune to get a snack, this is the place for you. The young lady at the counter was very friendly, and the service was good.

03/01/2026: We had lunch at the restaurant in Roufillac (the same one). Excellent welcome, very good, well-presented and generous menus (including the Périgord trou). Also, stuffed chicken in a pot, a delight! Too much to walk afterwards, but still, a lovely discovery with a small raspberry liqueur offered at the end. Thank you for the welcome, René and Ginette (it was her birthday).

15/02/2026: One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. Have had the tasting menu there on two special occasions and both times it was incredible. I told them I was vegetarian in advance and they made an absolutely magnificent vegetarian menu. Highly recommend.
27/11/2025: The service was heavy-handed. The wines were overpriced, and the sommelier steered us towards the most expensive ones. The food was very uneven. A sea bass fillet with an exceptional grapefruit sauce was ruined by a tough, stringy leek. A grilled beef steak was excellent, but the beetroot sauce added nothing; one expects much better from a Michelin-starred restaurant.
