15/09/2026: Just a quick stop for a drink, but a very warm welcome.

20/09/2026: Friendly staff but the starter buffet was very average and the dessert buffet was very poor: frozen and dry cakes with little choice, basic and edible main courses, nothing special. I won't be back.

08/09/2026: I had been here a few years ago and had rather positive memories, especially of the dessert buffet, which was much more extensive, with items like lemon and raspberry tarts. This time, unfortunately, I felt the quality had clearly declined. The appetizer buffet was very much like something you'd find at home: surimi, sausage, grated carrots… nothing bad in itself, but not really what you expect when you go to a restaurant. The same was true for the yogurts, panna cotta in pots, fruit salad in syrup, and very few desserts that gave the impression of being truly homemade. A special mention goes to the floating island, whose meringue had a texture quite similar to polystyrene 😅. The fries were soggy and seemed to have already been through several rounds of frying… And to top it all off, the dining room was extremely noisy, to the point of making the meal quite tiring. We could barely hear each other speak... Nothing dramatic, but between my memory of it and today's experience, there's definitely a drop in quality. I really felt like I was eating at a Flunch-style restaurant. It's a shame, because the place used to have much more charm in terms of the food. I'll end on a positive note, though, because the welcome and service were pleasant. That's always appreciated and deserves to be highlighted.

05/09/2026: I go there very often; I have a disability. The staff is fantastic, always smiling and welcoming. They always find me an accessible table near the all-you-can-eat buffet, and I'm always very well received. And the food is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it.

24/09/2026: We had a pleasant time at this restaurant. The servers were very attentive. The meal was a bit long. The terrace is very nice. However, we found the food bland from the very first bite; the duck leg was too tough. The new potatoes weren't salted at all. The regional wine was very good, as was the walnut tart with its cabécou cheese ice cream. Only the dessert was original. What a shame! On the other hand, the bill was steep for such tasteless dishes. It's not advisable to leave a negative review when paying.

23/09/2026: We went to this restaurant because it's connected to our hotel, "Moulin de l'Abbaye." The hotel specified that we don't eat meat or fish. What a shame that in 2026 there isn't a single vegetarian dish or starter on the menu… it makes you feel unwelcome. We still enjoy eating, we just do it without animals, and we're not the only ones. We would have liked to discover a revisited and delicious local dish. Our starter was served with bacon, even though we had specified no (nothing serious, it was corrected, but it was clumsy). We were then given a custom-made dish, "celery-based risotto," which was good; you can tell there's some thought and effort involved. Imagine what it must be like when a recipe is conceived and put on the menu with a protein alternative. Not to question your local cuisine, but simply to reinterpret it. We hope you'll think about it someday 😉 So that people like us don't feel "excluded" from fine dining. The restaurant is still high quality, though.

02/09/2026: Exceptional meal in a beautiful riverside setting We stayed for one night in July and had a really lovely experience. The highlight was undoubtedly dinner in the Michelin-starred restaurant. The food was exceptional, and eating out on the terrace beside the river on a warm summer evening made it particularly memorable. It’s a beautiful, peaceful setting and felt like a real occasion. Our room was very comfortable, with lots of thoughtful touches. The air conditioning was an absolute godsend in the July heat, and the enormous shower was excellent. We only stayed for one night, but it was one of those places that leaves a strong impression. Beautiful location, superb food and a very comfortable stay. Definitely recommended, and we’d happily return.

31/08/2026: A flawless experience for our group birthday lunch on a Sunday! The manager prepared a custom menu for us, perfectly tailored to our preferences and budget. Everything was delicious from the appetizer to the dessert, and the waitstaff was outstanding: impeccable, seamless, and attentive service. A superb village restaurant; we will definitely be back!

29/08/2026: Warm welcome and delicious meal! A nice place to eat quietly with a play area for children.

26/08/2026: Catastrophic. Keep walking. 5 burgers, fries, and a software program each for €70. For that price, be prepared for a long wait, even though there weren't many people there. And in the burger salad, bugs. Perhaps Etchebest and Kitchen Nightmares will be called in to save the day.

02/06/2026: We were very satisfied with the funeral service, which fully met our expectations and was unanimously approved. The telephone contact was also excellent. Thank you very much.

06/05/2026: We hired Loïc and his team for our wedding menu as well as the buffet dinner the following day. Everything was of excellent quality and plentiful, the products were fresh and beautifully presented. We received many positive comments from our guests. 21/08/2026: I arrived alone to eat, the restaurant wasn't full, and then they told me it was full with a sigh. One person doesn't bring in as much as two, I understand the financial aspect... 😡 I think it's a lack of business sense. I don't recommend it.

09/07/2026: Tonight, for my birthday, I had the pleasure of discovering L’Escapade des Sens in Thiviers. The setting is magnificent, the welcome warm, and the service impeccable. We enjoyed a five-course menu, accompanied by three amuse-bouches, and everything was absolutely delicious. Each dish was as beautiful as it was flavorful. The servers were incredibly attentive, smiling, and very pleasant, and the pace between courses was perfectly controlled. A truly wonderful discovery, which I wholeheartedly recommend to all lovers of fine cuisine. A must-try!

04/07/2026: Re-tested and approved in July. Slightly too generous a portion, but absolutely top-notch from start to finish—a feast for the senses. The wine pairing was interesting; luckily, we only ordered one bottle for two people. Congratulations and best of luck!

12/07/2026: La Forge des Maquignons. A real brasserie, located in the middle of a shopping area, between a Burger King and a Leclerc supermarket… With its rotunda shape, young and dynamic staff, and a €16.50 set menu displayed at the entrance. Nice rugby-themed decor. I honestly ate quite well and very honestly; a very decent, generous steak tartare was on the daily special, with excellent fries. And above all, the staff were super friendly.

20/09/2026: The waiter was very friendly. However, the cook needs to learn how to cook properly; the meats should be medium-rare and rare, and for the price of a rib steak at 30 euros, it's too expensive, especially when the meat is very tough.
