10/12/2025: The first thing I want to highlight is the service, which was outstanding. Even though we didn't speak the same language and it took us a little while to understand each other, the staff were absolutely lovely, patient, and helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome! Those gestures are worth their weight in gold and make you feel welcome instantly. What's more, we arrived at a busy time, without a reservation, just before the kitchen closed, and they still kindly made room for us and served us a meal. A truly thoughtful touch that we greatly appreciated! Our bill came to about €22 each.

09/01/2026: A true classic French café experience! Its location near the town hall makes it a great spot to observe local life. Ideal for a morning coffee or a refreshing drink after a long day. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is very peaceful. I recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant break during their town tour. Away from the tourist crowds, it's a friendly place where you'll feel like a local. The service is fast, the coffee is delicious, and the prices are quite reasonable. A simple, clean, and very welcoming establishment. Great location, friendly service, and a very pleasant terrace. We stopped for a short break on our Bergerac/Dordogne route and were very pleased. It has the atmosphere of a friendly neighborhood café that reflects the spirit of the town. Definitely recommended."

12/10/2025: Lovely outdoor patio shaded by vines. Great friendly service. Stopped for something to drink - Good coffee & fruit smoothie.

11/12/2025: The wait was far too long, 45 minutes just to take our order. We ordered a main course and dessert without coffee because it had been an hour and a half and it was time to get back to work. The service was questionable. We won't be returning.

11/12/2025: Very good restaurant, excellent welcome from the owner. However, the waiter's sweater wasn't very classy. Needs improvement.

17/09/2024: Belle découverte du restaurant la Brucelière situé dans un magnifique village médiéval. Nous avons opté pour le menu La Balade et avons été conquis par la finesse des saveurs proposées par le chef. Les vins proposés par Marie et la qualité du service nous ont fait vivre un moment exceptionnel, le tout dans une jolie salle décorée avec goût. Nous vous recommandons grandement cet établissement familial où vous serez chaleureusement accueillis.

15/09/2024: Séjour à Issiegac , endroit calme et reposant , accueil plus que chaleureux par Marie et Anthony et le reste de l'équipe bien évidemment ! , nous avions pu profiter d'une chambre magnifique, spacieuse et très agréable au dessus du restaurant ! Dîner au restaurant en semaine plusieurs plat déguster rien a redire foie gras mariné au Montbazillac cuit parfaitement, Lieu jaune Finisterien petits pois chorizo tout aussi beau que bon , filet de boeuf aubergine petit pois raffiné avec une cuisson à tomber,dessert au café /chocolat sablé breton spectaculaire , l'accord met et vins était lui aussi tout aussi subtile ! Un grand merci pour ce séjour, l'accueil et le goût du partage sont les maîtres mot chez vous !!! Bravo et Merci

17/12/2025: I'm giving it zero stars. I bought a Paris-Brest for 4 euros, and in my opinion, that's expensive for a stick of margarine. It's sickening; the margarine taste is way too strong. I would have preferred a praline mousseline cream, like they make these days, instead of a pint of hazelnut fat. Disgusting.

11/09/2024: Petit buffet à volonté choix limité mais petit resto salle de 20 couverts + terrasse J’ai été étonné par la fraîcheur des produits Le test de la crevette ne trompe pas pas d’odeur,pas d’eau quand on appuie dessus et chair ferme Produits frais,étonnant le poulet frit et les brochettes de poulet C’est du poulet fermier ça a goût à poulet Le porc c’est pareil ça à dû goût Je me suis vraiment régalé avec tous les plats Au niveau qualité c’est exceptionnel comparé à de grands groupes de buffet à volonté C’est avec de bon produits que l’on fait de bon plats Franchement si je repasse à Saint Astier je reviendrai manger dans ce restaurant Je tiens à dire que je n’ai pas la critique facile Pensez à réserver car c’est plein tous les soirs

22/11/2025: A delightful surprise! A charming little hotel with old-world appeal, very comfortable, impeccable service, helpful staff, and a very generous breakfast... Ideally located just a few minutes from Sarlat. We would definitely return!

16/11/2025: During our weekend getaway in the Périgord region, we stumbled upon this small, unpretentious hotel-restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. The ambiance is cozy and romantic, thanks to its location by the water. The restaurant is excellent and highly recommended.

18/10/2025: Today's visit was completely inaccessible for strollers! Potholes, rocks... hills! It kind of spoils the visit. It's not a very welcoming park... It's a shame because it's the only one nearby, and it's quite large! Disappointed...

Appalling welcome from a young waitress who told us there were no more seats (there were three of us) when it would have been so easy to push two tables of two together… The quality of the "Bistrot Régent" restaurants is declining sharply, and Mr. Vanhove should be concerned…

There's a wide selection of dishes, both hot and cold, with authentic and well-balanced flavors. You can tell the care is taken with the preparation and replenishment. The staff is welcoming and efficient, and the setting is clean and pleasant. This all-you-can-eat restaurant clearly stands out for the quality of its food. We'll gladly return!
