08/08/2026: We came after reading the reviews and were very disappointed; it was definitely not our night, I imagine. It was very hot, the wait was endless, and there was a lot of frustration in the dining room... we spent two hours just getting an aperitif, a starter, and a main course. Our neighbor left before their main course because of the wait. The menu seemed reasonable, but given the missing items, I found it disappointing. The price was also outrageous, far too expensive for what you get. It's a shame. The restaurant had everything going for it, but honestly, even just passing through, we won't be back. Very disappointed. It's the first time I've ever left without cheese, dessert, coffee, or a digestif.

04/06/2026: A new restaurant for us to try. Tucked away in a tiny village serving wonderful French food and a selection of very good local wines. I booked for a Wednesday evening. First impressions; tiny village with a privately owned chateau. It's situated opposite the village hall. We parked there but there is parking for the restaurant outside the front. It's really a traditional French restaurant, dark, exposed beams with a small bar area and probably 25 covers. The menu had just changed, not extensive, a choice of four starters, four main dishes and four desserts. I chose artichokes in a mushroom sauce and my wife goats cheese in filo pastry, main dishes, sweet breads in a wonderful cream sauce and salmon, desserts creme brulee. For those English who are squeamish about sweetbreads try these, they were fantastic. We also ordered a bottle of Pecharmant. The owner was chatty and his wife is the chef. The only downside and this is a real shame is that we were the only two in the restaurant. Since Covid many village restaurants are really struggling. If local people, ex pats and tourists who are interested in wonderful food don't support them they'll dissappear. We have now compiled a list of outstanding local restaurants, small but what we consider some of the best local produce cooked to perfection. If you, like us want wonderful French food try this restaurant, you won't be disappointed. Would we go again? Absolutely.

19/07/2026: I stumbled upon this place almost by chance and discovered a pizza with a thin, slightly crispy crust and a wonderfully flavorful topping. It's certainly one of the best pizzas I've had the pleasure of eating here. Pleasant service on the patio and affordable prices.

25/06/2026: I'm not a big pizza fan, but the one I had, the Royale, was a real treat! Fresh ingredients and a delicious thin crust—I didn't leave a single bite on my plate! 😁 For dessert, two scoops of Manouvrier ice cream were divine. The owners are very professional and friendly. I'll be back.

10/12/2025: I bought loads of things to try. Pork spring rolls, kebabs, saucy dishes, samosas, shrimp fritters. Everything was SO GOOD! And considering how much food I left with, the price was really good! I highly recommend you go and try it! And the cherry on top, the owner and the employee are very friendly 😌 I'll be back

09/12/2025: Thanh Phat December 2025: It cost €12 for 3 items. If you're hungry, and you don't want to spend a fortune to get a snack, this is the place for you. The young lady at the counter was very friendly, and the service was good.

20/07/2026: Perfect for a motorcycle road trip stopover A huge thank you to Séverine and her husband for their exceptional hospitality! They are incredibly kind hosts, always friendly and smiling. The accommodation is impeccable: clean, equipped with air conditioning (a real plus!), and we took advantage of the option to have the sheets made upon arrival. Special mention for the very comfortable bedding! The setting is a true haven of peace: a lush and relaxing environment surrounded by nature, with sheep (that look like goats 🤣), chickens, and a small pond. The swimming pool is perfect for cooling off at any time of day, while respecting everyone's privacy (peace and quiet guaranteed in the evening). As for dining, everything is on-site, which is a real bonus: The restaurant offers excellent value for money; we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Breakfast (at an extra cost) was just as good. Even though, being true Charentais Maritime locals, for us butter is semi-salted 😍 A special shout-out to the bikers ✌️: We were on a motorcycle road trip and the place is 100% perfect. The setting is completely safe and we were able to park our bikes right next to the accommodation to keep an eye on them. The hosts perfectly understand our needs (to the point of even taking the owner for a short ride to the accommodation!). Perhaps a future biker haven? Bonus: We always capture our road trips on video, especially with a drone. The owners allowed us to take off for a few minutes to immortalize our stay (we're sharing the footage with you). Thank you to them and our neighbors for allowing us. Thanks again for this wonderful stay, we'll definitely be back!

13/07/2026: A fantastic, calm, and relaxing setting, with free-roaming chickens and sheep – a truly peaceful moment. We were welcomed by a lovely young couple. The owner, besides her smile and kindness, sets the tone for the entire stay. Four superb nights in a very clean, quiet mobile home facing the lake and its fruit trees – COOL! The paella was very generous and delicious. The only slight downside was that the owner was a bit grumpy; we'll chalk it up to stress. Nevertheless, we'll definitely be back – a beautiful place that we highly recommend! 😉😉 Mr. and Mrs. Auger

03/08/2026: We stopped for dinner while passing through the area on the recommendation of a local, and we weren't disappointed at all. The Périgord menu we enjoyed was generous, delicious, and very reasonably priced. Special mention goes to the homemade apricot fondant, which was divine.

17/07/2026: We went here for lunch today and it was a wonderful experience! I had the Perigeux Salad (what's not to like?!?) and my partner had the Demi Cuit Foie Gras (as he had had a late breakfast). We also had the Souffle Glace and ice cream, all washed with a carafe of house red. The menu du jour is what I'll try next time! We will be back!!

10/05/2026: A small, very family-run restaurant. The manager is always very friendly and attentive. The meals are very good... good quality and quantity... reasonable prices... well worth a stop.

01/06/2026: I only went to the restaurant. The menu, written on a chalkboard, listed the starters and main courses: pan-seared foie gras escalopes and rack of lamb with a herb crust. Everything was very good! The only downside was that the side dishes weren't listed, and when I asked about one of them (mashed potatoes with small green pieces, served with the lamb), the waitress didn't know and had to find out. Despite two reminders, we never received an answer! That's why I'm deducting stars.

02/08/2026: We came this Sunday as a family. We had a very pleasant time. The welcome, service, and meal were all excellent. The plates were generous and homemade. A special mention for the homemade ice cream (honey, blueberry, and raspberry); the honey one was a big hit. Thank you so much for your kindness and attentiveness. We will definitely be back.

22/07/2026: Smiling and very pleasant staff. The food and ingredients are fresh. However, there's no daily menu or choice of two courses, and that's it. Well, that's why the ingredients are fresh, but the selection is a bit limited. It's still expensive for what it is, especially for a small town, and even more so since the dishes aren't typical of the region.

07/04/2026: It is a beautiful shopping mall which has recently acquired new signs and which allows us to make all our purchases in a pleasant and diversified way, because the commercial offer is important...moreover, many events are present there regularly!!!
