18/09/2025: Pretty, inviting, restaurant by the cathedral. Proprietor very welcoming even almost at close of day. Served four adults with superbly prepared fresh dishes, despite at their closing hour we were not rushed, indeed encouraged to enjoy the moment. We discovered the owner has a restaurant in Bergerac too, directly by the Cyrano statue. Thankyou for superb service, food and kindly generosity.

13/09/2025: I had an amazing experience at this restaurant, thanks to the exceptional service provided by the hospitable staff and owner. They kindly showed us how to make crepes, generously adding a large portion of Nutella and Chantilly cream for us to share. The omelette aux cèpes was fantastic, and both the salad and pizza were spot on! Highly recommend this place for its warm atmosphere and delicious food.

08/07/2025: Despite the pleasant setting and staff, we were very disappointed with the food, which was very sparse and served with "rancid" ingredients and bread that wasn't toasted but stale... We left very disappointed, not satisfied but rather seasoned by the bill! In short, a bad experience for us.

21/06/2025: We came several times last year during our vacation and decided to come back again this year! We asked if it was possible to pay and come back to pick up our pastries an hour later because of the heat. The lady replied no. We told her we'd come back later. She suddenly got angry, saying we weren't patient, that we could wait 5 minutes even though we had kindly offered to come back. So we'll go pick up our dessert from someone else. You shouldn't be a salesperson if you can't stand customers!

12/10/2025: A beautiful terrace at Beurre de l'Eau in the heart of Brantome. A beautiful sunny day, delicious and tasty dishes, and a delicious dessert. The staff were super welcoming and friendly. One small drawback: the two scoops of ice cream cost €8 and the homemade French toast cost €9.

20/01/2026: A disappointing experience We have visited this restaurant several times, both as a couple and as a family, hoping that the experience would improve over time. Unfortunately, the service remains consistently lacking and inattentive. On one visit, one of our guests didn't have cutlery. When we simply asked for a fork, he was gestured towards helping himself. A surprising scene in an establishment where service is supposed to be part of the experience. The concept of an all-you-can-eat buffet implies a minimum of consideration for the customers, which was clearly not the case here. The desserts, in addition to being very limited, are offered in particularly small portions considering the price paid. In conclusion, the food is not enough to compensate for such a cold welcome. A sincere piece of advice: rethink the service and the staff, because friendliness and professionalism are essential in the restaurant industry.

01/11/2025: We were half an hour late, and the owner squeezed us into a small table for two near the entrance and pointed out that we were half an hour late! Two customers arrived who wanted to eat outside, and the owner told them it would be an extra charge at a table for four that was already set, and no one was outside! I've never heard of such a thing. The food was decent. The duck breast was burnt on one side. To pay, we had to go to the bar. I won't be back.

27/09/2025: Meal for two, frankly disappointed, I don't often go to restaurants, this is a restaurant I'll never set foot in again. It's time to match the menu on your site, which is different from that of Google itself, which is different from the menu presented on site. The starter was €17 for a slice of foie gras 4cm in diameter and not even 1cm thick. More salad and frills than what you actually eat. A dish served cold with barely cooked vegetables, a ratatouille, three pieces of uncooked zucchini on the plate, the sauce served cold like the rest. It's unfortunate to pay €83 for a meal to not even eat enough and eat cold without enjoying it, which is a shame, knowing that I don't eat much as a basic meal, that's saying something, and I'm not even talking about the layout of the tables, which means that throughout the meal, the waitresses and customers just kept banging their heads in my chair. I can't wait to go home and make myself something to eat so I can be satisfied.
