23/04/2026: The staff were absolutely unwelcoming and required a minimum of one item per person to order, making it impossible to take anything to share (even though we were a group of 5 people) and the cats didn't seem to be used to or comfortable with humans.

22/04/2026: When we arrived, there was no space—which in itself wasn’t a problem. What really made the experience unpleasant was the red-haired lady’s attitude; she was extremely rude, dismissive, and made no effort to be polite or helpful.

02/07/2025: Clean and fresh tastes! Everything was homemade and the food was perfect! The nice lady whom served us was very sweet and welcoming. The chef took time in the kitchen to make sure the food was prepared properly! The wine was amazing. 10/10, would recommend!

07/03/2026: Dynamic, welcoming, and efficient team. Homemade cuisine, quality products, and always generous portions. Cozy atmosphere by the fireplace, warm setting. A stop and/or detour is highly recommended for the Maison du Fondeur! 👌🏼

10/10/2025: The pizza dough was too hard. We couldn't even cut it with a knife; we had to tear off small pieces by hand. The terrace was rather dreary. The lighting was too bright and harsh, and there was a lack of decoration. It's important to create a cozy atmosphere that makes people want to come in. The service was very friendly, provided by one of the three sisters who own the restaurant.

08/10/2025: Great food in this restaurant in the small village of Biot, in the 06 region. Authentic, generous cuisine. Really good value for money. Friendly service. Two-star atmosphere, as it's the end of the season... Not too crowded.

10/03/2026: A very pleasant inn; the rooms are lovely and comfortable. The welcome is very warm and the restaurant delicious! A superb find!

24/02/2026: We were promised a half-course meal, but the reality was far from what was advertised. We ate out-of-season tomatoes and mozzarella, clearly from a large supermarket. The rice and pasta weren't cooked properly. A chocolate fondant was promised, but we ended up with a frozen speculoos dessert. The photos online are misleading compared to what's actually served in the restaurant. We were therefore very disappointed compared to what was promised. On the other hand, the accommodation matched the description: it was accessible, and the photos weren't misleading. The restaurant, however, was really cheap and didn't live up to our expectations at all. The price for the room was acceptable, but the restaurant is definitely one to avoid.

06/04/2026: The second time I ate yesterday, I brought my friend, because I was bragging that you serve well and the food is delicious, what happened was that I was very disappointed because our order was the grilled seafoods but the shrimps already had a smell, they weren't fresh and secondly, the bread was even worse, it was so hard it couldn't be eaten, like a rock. We asked your waiter to crush it and he couldn't crush it so we didn't enjoy the 160€ we paid 😞

05/04/2026: We often write reviews, and unfortunately this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we’ve had in a long time. At first glance, Chez Freddy in Nice Old Town looks very promising. It’s located in a prime area, constantly busy, with a strong flow of people — which gives the impression of quality and popularity. Unfortunately, this is very misleading. The service is extremely disorganized. The staff seemed lost and uncoordinated. We had to ask multiple times for basic things like drinks, cutlery, and even plates. Nothing arrived without insisting, and there was no sense of attention or professionalism. The food, which should be the highlight — especially for a place claiming seafood specialties — was simply not good. We ordered the moules frites (plat du jour), expecting a classic done well. It was a complete disaster. The mussels were poorly prepared and lacked any real flavor. We also ordered a pasta, which was shockingly bad — honestly worse than something you would casually make at home without much effort. Completely unacceptable for a restaurant in such a prime location. What keeps this place full is clearly not quality, but its location and the illusion created by the crowd. People see it busy and assume it must be good — exactly what happened to us. The owner appears very active, constantly moving things around and trying to attract more customers, but that energy does not translate into service or food quality. This is a well-known place, but based on our experience, it does not deserve its reputation. If it were possible, this would be a half-star review. Overall: excellent location, very poor execution. We would not recommend this place

16/03/2026: Massively over-priced, even compared to the many other restaurants in the area. Sure, this was the MIPIM "surcharge", but even expense-account customers have a sense for value for money and when they don't get it, they don't return. This place will survive on fist-time custom, until it doesn't.

24/04/2026: Second visit and the food was still excellent. The staff were lovely and attentive to the customer's needs. Beautiful seaside location. I highly recommend this restaurant.

21/04/2026: Out for a walk, I stopped today for some wine, with a view to eating later in the evening. I was greeted with 'I don't speak English'. So I asked for wine in French. Apparently, the man does not speak French either. Perhaps they just want to stand there and hope that people just pass by. And people should. Don't spoil your evening.

18/04/2026: The owner is extremely unhelpful and completely lacking in decency. His attitude is disrespectful, and any attempt to get help is met with indifference, even rudeness. A very disappointing experience that I would not recommend to anyone.

14/04/2026: I had a wonderful meal. I often went there for coffee but had never eaten there before. It's so good that it's always packed at mealtimes. A family-run restaurant with a very warm atmosphere. I highly recommend it. The best part is that everything is fresh, and you can taste the difference. My daughter introduced me to this restaurant, and I have no regrets. Thank you, Pierre, and all your family and the dog! 😃😃👍👍👍

02/01/2026: The food was very good and the atmosphere was really great. Would definitely come again, the DJ was amazing and so was our server.

14/12/2025: The burgers are really good. Good ingredients and friendly service. It's a shame about the upkeep of the place; they could attract more customers.

15/03/2026: I didn't stay at the hotel, just had a cup of tea. I asked for another cup because mine was dirty. They told me no, it wasn't dirty, and grumbled. Okay, it's fine, it happens, they apologized and gave me another cup, nothing crazy. That said, it's a nice place for a drink, just the guy wasn't very friendly.

20/02/2026: The food and service here was so phenomenal - we grabbed a quick girls dinner here on a moments notice and it was an incredible night! GREAT food, INCREDIBLE and phenomenal dessert and Kevin had incredible service and was so fun to chat with. Could not recommend this place more.

31/03/2026: Nice little brasserie for a drink on the terrace. The service was a bit cold, but nothing alarming. See you soon!

15/03/2026: The hotel is ideally located just steps from the gondola lifts to the slopes and close to all amenities! The included breakfast is a nice touch, with plenty of choice (both savory and sweet). We also tried the restaurant one lunchtime; our buckwheat crepes were delicious, made with fresh ingredients. We had a room with a magnificent mountain view! I'm deducting one star for the room simply because there were small black stains scattered all over the sheets, as well as a very unpleasant smell (like tobacco) in the bathroom. Apart from that, we had a very pleasant stay at this hotel, and we thank the lady who greeted us upon arrival for her friendliness and professionalism.

11/03/2026: We had a wonderful stay in Auron! Everything was absolutely perfect. The food at TACA D'OLI was delicious, and the room was spotless and very comfortable. The location is ideal, allowing you to fully enjoy the surrounding area and winter sports! A huge thank you also for the fondue, which was simply exquisite, thanks to Florence's excellent advice and culinary talents 👍😉, and the crepes were to die for! Bravo, bravo, bravo! Thank you to Titi and Florence for their kindness and warm welcome. They are truly fantastic hosts! ♥️
